After the third day Kurt was definitely worried about blaine being absent. He has decided to wait a bit before checking up on blaine In case he had been wanting to keep some distance.

The weather had been clearly the cause of blaines illness. He knew it was bad but he hadn't predicted the weather would be this bad. Apparently when he snapped at blaine, blaine had gone for a walk without an umbrella. He was known for going on walks no matter what the situation was like to clear his head, Wes has told him after he got blaines address and told him more about what occurred.

It was his fault blaine was sick and he had to snap at blaine when Ohio had the worst storm they had in 15 years the news said. He hadn't noticed much being stuck inside all day, apart from Blaine being ill. Unfortunately the school didn't shut down for nobody unless it was snowing, and Public schools were a different story all together.

He looked longingly at his Instagram as he stared at Mercedes's tag notification

Mercedes_N1Diva mentioned you in her photo

Her photo contained a picture of her smiling in her latest Diva outfit wearing a colourful jacket, big gold earrings, and a big loveheart chang on it

#DayOffSchool @Kurt-Hummel How about you boo, you get a day off too?

He noticed the #DayOffSchool hashtag in Ohio alone had 10,704 posts

WesleyMontgomery123 @Mercedes_N1Diva Why do Public Schools get to be so cool

Thad_Warbler @WesleyMontgomery123 I know right

Kurt-Hummel @Mercedes_N1Diva I fear Dalton would still be running if it was the worst blizzard in history.

Which was sort of true Wes has mentioned how they had to attend class during a snow day even though most schools were closed

Kurt-Hummel @Mercedes_N1Diva I'll call you about it later I have to go, stay warm Cedes. Enjoy your day off xxoo

WesleyMontgomery123 @Warblers_Council incase you guys haven't already heard; there will be no meeting this week due to the illness infection that has been spreading around the school. I hope you all rest and stay warm. Till later notice take care

Kurt-Hummel @WesleyMontgomery123 I'm going to be late for the first two classes, can I get notes of you later?

WesleyMontgomery123 @Kurt-Hummel Sure, have you heard from Blaine? Is he alright

Kurt-Hummel @WesleyMontgomery123 That's what I'm going to find out now

When Kurt arrived at Blaine's following Wes's neatly written address he took a deep breath before knocking. “Just a minute!” he heard Blaine croak out, his voice sounding raw and tired as he could hear him curse when probably hitting something on the way to the door. “Mum I didn't think you'd get home till…Kurt?” He looked out at the weather and at Kurt's outfit

Blaine's eyes fell on his. He could see Blaine was looking for signs of concern or worry only to be rewarded with Kurt's kind eyes and smile “Hi! I brought you some food, I hope you're hungry….The weather's been awful and I just wanted to see if you're alright,”

Blaine's eyes that had been wide and shocked now landed on the little containers in Kurt's hand. He couldn't seem to understand why Kurt was there as his eyes raised back up to Kurt's in surprise.

“Um…is it alright if I come in?” Kurt hesitated slightly feeling like an unwelcomed guess as Blaine looked over him.

Finally Blaine snapped out of his trance and nodded “Of course! I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting any company. Come in,”

Blaine looked worn out, he obviously hadn't bothered to gel his hair which was unusual for Blaine, his curls were wild and his eyes looked like they were debating on closing again and he had lost a couple of kilos, if his smooth jawline indicated anything. What stuck out most to Kurt was his eyes were red and the dark circles that formed under them from clearly no sleep, Kurt watched as he struggled to dispose of a contagious cough.

“I hope this isn't inconvenient,” Kurt said unsure but then Blaine put a hot hand on his shoulder and made sure he was looking at him when he spoke slowly “I can assure you Kurt….your company is never inconvenient,” His hand lingered there for a bit. It felt hot and sticky.

Kurt blushed when Blaine realised what he was doing and let go. Blaine encouraged him to move over to the table to sit down. Kurt did set the food down, but he would not allow Blaine to be moving around much longer than necessary. The other boy needed rest.

“No we're not sitting at the table, Blaine Anderson, I think we should get you to your bedroom,”

Blaine laughed which turned to the cough he was trying to dispose of “I'm sorry Kurt,” Blaine took a sip of a drink that was on the table to ease the desperation for coughing “but that sounded a little risqué,” he said with a rusty voice. Kurt's mouth hang open as Blaine once again attempted to laugh when he saw Kurt's face but coughed for the second time “Oh my god! Not like that, you pervert,”

Kurt glared at him and Blaine just winked but he was looking unsteady on his feet so Kurt ushered him to his bed, hands on his shoulders as he pushed him to where he could see his bedroom. “Come on, I'm certain your doctor said you shouldn't be standing up,”

“I did…*cough* I didn't… see a doctor, Thad told me to go home, Trent gave me a lift,”

“I'm glad Thad had some sense then,” Kurt was really appreciation the way the Warblers looked after one another. Just remembering how Wes was with him when he fell asleep and how no one made fun of him in the next Warblers meeting for falling asleep was a nice change from what he was used to. Dalton was nice. He was sick of the uniform to be truthfully honest, but no body made nasty comments at him, nobody expected anything of him expect for him to be decent and respectable to everyone the way you'd want to be treated.  The only thing was, he missed New Directions.

He missed the drama, the choir room, he even missed the bullying because at least he was fighting for something he believed in. At Dalton he was only fighting for his academic results, and the students here were competitive with their marks.

The best thing was though rooming with Blaine. Dalton was no fun when Blaine was sick at home in bed rather than talking to Kurt all night about their interests and hobbies.

Blaine finally after more pestering from Kurt got under the covers and allowed Kurt to tuck him in, pulling the Blankets comfortably around him and fluffing up his pillows.

“I'm so sorry I snapped at you while you've been nothing but kind to me,”

“It's okay Kurt,” Blaine assured “I get it,”

“No you don't. Wes told me how you were his roommate and how he snapped at you and told you too shut up. I don't want you to ever think I don't appreciate you, or love the conversations we have, because I do Blaine, and I've been taking that for granted. I'm so sorry,”

“It's fine,” Blaine whispered “As long as you're not mad at me,” He added.

“Of course not. There we go, let me get you a cloth, and then I'll get you your dinner. You need to eat Blaine,”

“How's your dad?”  Blaine asked as Kurt walked into his adjoined bathroom

He tried not to think too much about the sinking feeling in his stomach at the mention of Burt while he rinsed the cloth under cold water.

Even with Blaine being as ill as he was, he still looked at Kurt the same as before, like his feelings mattered to him most than even his own health.  When he walked back to Blaine he saw the boy was expecting an answer.

“No better,” He admitted sadly “He hasn't woken up yet, but there's hope” and Blaine frowned as Kurt blinked his tears away as he focused on Blaine and attempted a smile. “Let's not worry about that for now, you're sick, let someone take care of you for a change”

Kurt ran a hand slightly over Blaine's forehead “You're still very warm. I'm going to check your temperature. Try not to close your eyes just yet, I want you to have some soup first okay?”

“M'kay,” Blaine yawned as Kurt put the cold cloth on his head and walked out of the room to heat up his soup and find a thermometer in the kitchen “Where do you keep your thermometer?” Kurt called out as he checked the drawers hoping he wasn't being rude by doing so while Blaine wasn't fully aware of what was happening around him.

“Bottom drawer next to the fridge,” Blaine called back with as much energy as he could.

True to Blaine's directions, Kurt found the device, and by then the soup was ready. He had popped in a slice a toast which came up just then. He got a tray out and walked it into the other boy's room. Who was forcing himself to stay awake

“You can sleep after you eat,” Kurt assured him and sat on a stool next to his bed so he could pass him the bowl.

“Thanks Kurt,”

“You did the same for me, while my father has been…while he's at hospital,”

Blaine's hand reached out for Kurt's shoulder and he squeezed it lightly “No really Kurt. You're amazing,”

Kurt was sure Blaine wasn't really aware of everything he was saying as he stared at Kurt.

He couldn't resist but smile as he leaned over to kiss Blaine's forehead affectionately. When he came back he saw that Blaine had eating half of the soup.

“Come on Blaine, just a couple more mouthfuls,”

Blaine groaned and said “No,” in a whiny tone. Blaine had been tiring easily and his speeches were a mixture between adult-like and child-like. Kurt almost laughed but stopped himself “Come on honey, at least do it for the Warblers if you won't do it for me. We're no good if our star leader lost his voice,”

Blaine winced as he sat up further to cough. Kurt was instantly by his side rubbing his back and feeding him green tea.

Cold liquid never helped the throat.

He picked up Blaine's spoon and dug it into the soup lifting it up for Blaine who argued “I can do it,” looking determined and crossed at Kurt.

Kurt laughed then “Alright, alright you can do it, Mr Bossy,”

After the third mouthful Blaine shook his head “No more,”

Kurt nodded. “Alright, when you want more all you have to do is pop some more in the microwave. I bought two containers full, or if you want anything different I'll make it for you and bring you some tomorrow, just text me or call. I better get going, I can't miss anymore classes”

Blaine smiled weakly nodded. His eyes were closing, but he snapped it open as Kurt went to leave “Next time stay at Dalton,” He whispered. Kurt looked at him incredulously at which he added “I'll be fine,”

Kurt looked over his shoulder “Blaine you can't do this on your own…and you can't expect me to abandon you when you're ill” but Blaine was staring at him now almost desperate “I don't want you to catch it,”

“If I catch it, you can look after me then, okay.” Kurt smiled at him at which Blaine replied “Okay,”.

After Kurt cleaned up he watched Blaine who was now asleep after he had put a movie on and talked about what he missed in class and at the Warbler meeting. They kept arguing about his ‘natural key' and ‘letting Blaine choose the song'.

He gave Blaine medication and kissed him on the cheek “Okay Blaine I have to go, you have my number, as soon as you need me, don't hesitate to call,”

“I'll see you soon okay?” Kurt said smiling at him before closing the door at which Blaine answered to an empty room “I love you,”
