Author's Notes:

No the boy in the green scarf has not been abandoned. Im hoping to update it by the end of the week. You can scream at me in reviews if I dont :p

Kurt couldn't believe he was doing this. Cooper had to go to an emergency meeting ‘so much for spending the day with me' he thought and then wondered why he cared. He didn't even know the guy. He talked so much though he felt as though he had known him all his life. Kurt could barely put two words in. Which was just as well because he was still internally freaking out.

Cooper had told him perhaps it was a good idea he turn up to Dalton as the dean had rung up to ask where he was, which was conveniently for Cooper just after he got the meeting call. Luckily Cooper made a lame excuse about it being his last day to spend time with Blaine and the Dean didn't give too much of a lecture except that he should probably be there in attendance for his French test.

Kurt had looked up the directions of the school since Cooper left him to his car and his own devices of what to do. He found the school uniform  easily, and cringed.

I hate uniforms, but when he tried the blazer on, he realised he looked very …dapper.

Okay, this isn't so bad.

Now he was at the entrance of the building. It was HUGE.

He took a deep breathe, wondering what the students were like.

Hell, should he embrace a dumpster throwing or a locker shove…or a head down the toilet swirl?

He closed his eyes on impact upon walking through the massive bronze doors, but so far nothing happened. “Oh…” He whispered mainly to himself. Everyone was just going their own way.

“You okay Blaine?” A boy with blonde hair asked.

He was cute. All of the boys were ridiculously handsome, what kind of school was this…

“Yeah I…I just forgot what class I have,”

“You're with me, we got home economics, want to walk with me?”

“Sure,” Blaine smiled “That'd be great thanks…”

Kurt was surprised by the introduction of some of the boys, such as Wes who at first Kurt had thought he was going to get hit by, but then as he saw their stunned expressions he composed himself  when realising he had retreated his hand from giving him a fist bump “Sorry…uh, rough night,”

The boys didn't question him, although he saw the concerns in their faces.

He was then pleasantly surprised when Wes and Jeff teamed up with him to actually do some cooking, whereas in McKinley they always ended up waiting for the roll call to be finished within the first half an hour of the class, which normally consisted of the teacher muttering names of students who have jigged class, which were normally the jocks that were roaming the hallways slushying people and then the second half an hour debating on whatever stupid thing one of the students had said upon interrupting the class.

They made a chocolate soufflé breaking up the tasks amongst themselves using the recipe provided with. Kurt had to pay attention a couple of times as he forgot he was ‘Blaine' for the day but they were really good to work with so they didn't seem to mind.

They then shared the washing duties the second half of the class and were able to eat the soufflé sharing it amongst themselves of course.

Kurt loved this class.

Their group got a result of 9 out of 10.

Wes didn't put enough icing sugar to give it the final touch but overall they were pleased.

Kurt adjusted pretty well into the routine at Dalton. Nobody caused him any trouble. At first he was frightened he'd get pulled aside and kept glancing at people that were coming opposite them, but mostly those people greeted him and said hello or smiled and waved and….it was weird.

Kurt still wasn't sure how he should handle this situation. Should he tell someone? Would they believe him? Could he find out what happened to himself perhaps? Maybe he could find a way to go to Lima and talk to his dad, and get him to give him a 20 question quiz so he can prove that HE is infact the real Kurt Hummel, would that get him to wake up?

The bell rang for lunch after the first 2 hours of class and Kurt found Wes and Jeff chatting animatedly about The Warblers and he found himself listening but not quite participating.

“What do you think Blaine? Should we try a Maroon 5 cover or perhaps a Train cover…we know you love Katy Perry but there's only so many Katy Perry or Pink songs that the judges will put up with, and no offense but I think the boys want to try something different,” Jeff was saying as Kurt bit his lip. What would Blaine say? Maybe he should just try stop being someone he wasn't and maybe they'll realise something's up.

“I think…both ideas are okay, but we should try a Broadway cover,”

“Blaine…we've gone over this before, Broadway is great, but hard to work with in an acapella group, remember the last time we tried Don't Cry For Me Argentina? Disaster…”

Kurt cringed at the thought “Okay fine….how about,” Jesus. Kurt wasn't used to all this attention and being put on the spot. He barely got noticed in the New Directions, and he was getting used to that. “Don't you think it's time we do a Joan Armatrading Medley?”

The boys stopped walking for a moment and stared, Wes blinked and said “Pardon?”

Kurt stared back equally horrified “Don't tell me you guys don't know Joan Armatrading?”

The boys shook their heads. “Alright, well I will suggest to the Warblers to look Joan up as their homework,”

“Blaine the council decides what's going to happen remember, but we'll discuss it in the next meeting this afternoon, and if the boys like the idea we'll give it a shot.”

Boys?

There were only boys in this glee club?

Kurt couldn't ask them more about it though as they were in their next class. He spent the entire time thinking of what he was going to say to his dad…. And how he was even going to get to his dad was the big question

“Haha very funny Kurt. Alright what do you want,” The man who Blaine found out to be called Burt asked as he answered the phone before and said “Burt speaking…”

“I'm not joking Burt…I am somebody else in Kurt's body,”

Burt eyed him carefully and frowned. “Did something happen at school that I don't know about?”

Blaine sighed. He wasn't getting anywhere here “No…”

“Okay good…I might have to ask Finn about this odd behaviour later but look do you want me to give you a lift? I know you said your happy to walk while you wait for your car to get fixed but it's pretty hot outside kiddo I don't mind,”

Blaine decided that he probably did sound crazy so to avoid Burt looking at him like he was from out of space any longer, gave in.

“That'd be great dad…”

Wait, did Kurt even call Burt dad? Burt smiled…so Blaine figured he must.

Burt…his new temporary father got him inside a truck and they went the way to school quietly before Burt dropped him of outside what said to be “McKinley High School,”

“Alright kid have a good day yeah? I'll be home by 8 for our Friday night dinner,”

“Okay,” Blaine agreed. Friday night dinners? Was that a thing for normal families? His family wasn't actually what you would call ‘normal' so he often wondered what it was like.

Admitably Blaine was kind of excited about school. It was a new environment after all, and there wasn't just boys for once (although he did miss his blazer – it was so hard deciding what to wear) Kurt must have been really into fashion, because he noticed some magazines on his desk which showed that.

Upon entering the building though, Blaine took a deep breathe. “I can do this,” He said.

“Well well well…look who was brave enough to try the front entrance,” A loud scary voice came from behind as a group of jocks came up behind him.

“Very brave of you Kurt,” Another boy chuckled haughtily.

They didn't appear very friendly. Blaine found himself walking backwards towards the wall away from them as they kept coming closer.

“Can I do something for you fellas?”  The boys started cracking knuckles. Blaine flinched as one of them grinned. “I think….we need to remind you of where you belong faggot,”

“It's definitely not in our school,” Another one agreed.

“What do you think Karofsky?” A boy named Azimio asked a big guy with an unknown expression on his face as he eyed Blaine. He almost looked at him like he was about to protect him…

Why wasn't anyone doing anything? Blaine noticed people just kept walking in and avoided the jocks as best as they could, even those who appeared to be the teachers seemed too preoccupied to notice.

Karofsky gave him a shove backwards and he stumbled over his satchel that was hanging loosely.

Two boys held onto his arms and he struggled “What are you doing!?” He yelled trying to break free from their grasp.

“Teaching you a lesson freak,” Azimio snapped as Karofsky clicked his fingers. The boys looked like they were going to pick him up, but he used his legs to kick at their groin.  His boxing skills coming in handy as one boy growled in pain and fell to the ground. He then used the now free right hand to punch the other boy and then managed to dodge Karofsky's attempt at grabbing him. He ran for it.

“GET HIM!” He heard them call as he ran as fast as he could inside.

His heart pounding, his breathing heavy until he ran into someone bumping their head “Ow….” He groaned.

“Kurt?” A boy with blonde hair helped him up and he rubbed the side of his head. “What happened, you okay?

“Sam I just saw him running in here away from the jocks,” A boy in a wheelchair said coming up towards them and looking at Blaine with concern “Did they hurt you?”

“They were about to I think…but I got away,” Blaine said shakily as Sam nodded looking relieved then down at the wheelchair kid. “Artie where was Finn?”

“Dunno, but I got a text from him to say that he'll be late to class,”

Sam muttered something which sounded like typical.

“You better stick with us then,” Artie said as Blaine agreed gratefully. Sam took his left and Artie took his right, although he didn't know what Artie could do in his wheelchair, the support was very welcomed.

Blaine walked with them still horrified from this mornings encounter and he tensed immediately when Karofsky came their way but he growled as he noticed the other boys presence “You can't hide behind them forever homo, just wait…” and then much to his surprise he shoved him hard against a locker despite the face they were there barely missing Artie.

“HEY KAROFSKY” Sam yelled as he went to immediately help Blaine up who was rubbing his shoulder “Pick on someone your own size Asshole,”
