“NAKED?!” Mercedes yelled when she heard the news.
The instructor furiously glared in their direction, as they apologised profoundly during their daily activity, which happened to be fencing. They were sitting down by the tree as they awaited their turn. It was only Mercedes, Mike, Tina, and Brittany that were in their group, the others had gone of to do rock climbing.
Even though it was show choir, they still offered sport activities which were recommended, and Kurt figured he may as well get the day over with.
“Shh! It was a deal, you should have seen him cedes, he had evil written all over his rotten face,”
“Tina and Mike!? You’re up next!” The instructor called. Tina looked upset to miss the conversation and got up to duel.
“Is Blaine even worth the humiliation if you lose?” Mercedes questioned. Kurt looked astonished at her. Really? Was Blaine worth it!?
Of course he was worth it.
Blaine was not only gorgeous but charming with a sense of class about him...
Yes he wore too much gel for his liking but his dashing smile took away that hate of hair product...and Kurt could easily say he was in lov...
Woah...
Down boy...! Easy...
Love?...
Can you possibly be in love with someone you've known for less than 2 full days?
“Mercedes, Blaine could possibly be the only guy that I might ever have a chance with, and even if I don’t have a chance with him, Sebastian said he would kiss Blaine, having your first kiss stolen is not ideal, and of course he’s worth it, I don’t want Sebastian hurting Blaine,”
Good answer Kurt.
Mercedes sighed.
“Look Kurt, I’ll help you because I can’t change your mind, and I do like Blaine, but please, be careful, as soon as this is over, we are practising cards, now…how are we going to explain this to the boys?”
“That’s what I wanted to ask you,” Kurt groaned as he leaned back against the tree when suddenly his name was called.
“Kurt, the instructor called for you, she’s sick of you talking, and there’s another boy who apparently has been having the same trouble,” Tina chuckled as she gave him her helmet.
Kurt was embarrassed of being caught.
He noticed some of the Warblers on the other side and waved to them as they laughed like giggling girls. Kurt frowned and put on his fencing hat.
“Now, as I’m sure you would have heard the instructions shake hands and begin!”
Kurt walked up and noticed the other fencer was shorter, he couldn’t see who it was because of the fencing hat, but he took out his hand and felt another grasp his. It felt familiar, and smooth, and it sent a little bolt of lightning inside of Kurt, then he gasped when he felt the sword be swung at him. Kurt backed out of the way and hurried forward at his attacker managing to earn a point.
His opponent lashed out at him as they found there way up a cabin stairs and onto the balcony. All eyes were on them as they continued to hit and duck and jump sideways. Kurt hadn’t been watching where he was going and fell over the edge of the balcony into a small pond.
The boy stopped and took of his hat, obviously worried.
When Kurt groaned in pain the other boy immediately went down to help as everyone else gathered around.
“You alright?” His attacker was Blaine.
He knew that voice, but the curls he hadn’t imagined, and Kurt couldn’t help but stare at them.
Kurt nodded as he lifted his hat of as well and grabbed the hand that reached for his. He accidentally pulled him in.
To his amazement Blaine laughed.
“Lucky for me it’s a hot day,”
The boy turned to look at his opponent and found Kurt staring at him with an amused smile.
“Kurt!” Blaine laughed and tackled the boy into a hug.
“Hey yourself, not a bad fencer,” Kurt praised upset when the hug ended too quickly. Blaine had felt good in his arms.
“Thanks, you’re pretty good too, didn’t think you liked fencing,” Blaine replied with a wink. The others watched in fascination as the two rambled on still in water.
“Um, I take it you guys know each other,” The instructor stated. Both boys nodded blushing.
“As much as I love a friendly game, my clothes and water do not exactly mix well,” Kurt shivered. Blaine helped pull Kurt out and they both apologised.
“Good game guys! You played well, alright everyone’s dismissed, that’s all for today,” The lady clapped.
Mercedes waited with the others as Kurt and Blaine caught up on conversation.
“I’m sorry for Sebastian interrupting our conversation, I um…was hoping if I could get your number,” Blaine blushed.
Blaine blushed, because he asked Kurt for his number! Surely that meant a chance?
“Yes!” Kurt said all too quickly.
Blaine tilted his head.
“I mean…yeah, that’d be great, I um, enjoyed talking to you,”
“Me too,” Blaine admitted. Both boys exchanged numbers and Kurt felt like he was in a dream as he said goodbye and walked back to his friends who was watching the scene.
Yes. Kurt decided Blaine was worth the humiliation of losing if it were to come down to that.
Blaine went to Nick after Sebastian had told him about the poker tradition.
Nick spent 4 hours trying to teach Blaine everything he could.
“Why do you even have to play Blaine, I mean, it’s Sebastian, I’ve seen him, and I think he’s a complete douchebag, at least Kurt has a sense of humour,”
“Oh Sebastian has humour,” Blaine muttered.
“Blaine, please don’t tell me you’re falling for Sebastian?”
“What?! NO!”
“Then…why on earth, did you agree to this?” Nick asked in utter hatred towards Sebastian.
“Well…because, look, I was talking to Kurt, and then Sebastian interrupted us, I tried to get him to move, but he asked me out and so instead I said I would go to the poker game,”
“He asked you out, I don’t like this Blaine…,”
“What can I do?”
“Say no!”
Blaine sighed. Everyone knew that Blaine Anderson was not a person to say no.
“You know that only leads to trouble Nick…,”
“Blaine, Sebastian isn’t your father,”
“You don’t know what he’s like,”
Nick sighed.
“I’m coming with you then,”
Blaine smiled and patted Nick on the shoulder.
“Thanks,”
“Only for your safety,”
Blaine looked like a kicked puppy.
Seriously. He could take care of himself.
“When is it?”
“Tonight…at 11 over at Cabin 215,”
“And the teachers?”
“Sebastian told me they had their own little thing going on, he over heard them speaking apparently, and said that they’d only have one teacher to walk around every now and then to check on things, so it should be okay, they will only check outside the rooms every 4 hours, they trust their students,”
Nick scoffed.
“They shouldn’t,”
Blaine agreed.
They spent the rest of the remaining day practising.
