“No. That’s not going to work!” Blaine exclaimed, throwing his hands up in frustration.
“Why not?” one of his managers asked.
“Because, everyone with half a brain knows I am gay. I can’t just up and announce that I am marrying woman.”
“You haven’t publicly come out yet Blaine,” his manager argued. “Those people only suspect you’re gay.”
Blaine sighed in frustration. He had one month before he was going to be deported and the fastest solution was to get married. Blaine had dedicated most of his life to building a musical empire. He was without a doubt the biggest music producer in Los Angeles by the time he turned twenty. He was so famous, he moved his business to New York and most his clients followed him. Blaine always loved that city.
Right now he was in a meeting with his management team: Nick, Jeff, Wes, David, and Sebastian. “Why don’t you marry one of us then? It’s a believable story. We all went to high school together and have worked together for years,” Sebastian suggested.
“No. I am not taking a chance on fucking up the strong working bonds we’ve made.”
“Come on Blaine. You’re going to be deported, surely marrying me isn’t worse than that,” Sebastian spat.
“Fuck off Seb. I wasn’t interested in you in high school and I am not interested in you now. Even if our whole relationship would be a farce,” Blaine said. The group of boys were all seated around a conference table. The wall of the room was completely glass and on the outside was a long hallway. Across the hallway was Vogue.com’s headquarters.
“Okay. Everyone just take a deep breath. Blaine, you moved here from Italy almost five years ago, why didn’t you become a citizen?”
“My dad was here on government business so I was granted temporary citizenship. I never really thought about it again.”
“Now we’re going to solve this issue,” Wes started. “But we HAVE to keep calm. No one except the six of us can know what we’re discussing as it is highly illegal.”
“Jeez Wes, do I need to get you a gavel like you had in high school?” David teased. The boys shared a laugh and the tension in the room eased.
“We need to find you the perfect guy. He needs to look and play the part. He needs to know what he is getting into and be willing to lie to everybody.”
Blaine looked out the glass wall and watched as all the Vogue employees left for the evening. It was six o’clock, and had he not had this problem to solve he would be headed home too. Maybe going home to a house with someone there would be nice, even if it was a lie. As Blaine was watching the Vogue employees go he saw a beautiful boy walk out. The boy was tall and lean, chestnut hair swept high on his head. The boy glanced into the room and when he saw Blaine his blue eyes lit up. Then he turned red and rushed out of the hallway. “What about him?” Blaine asked.
All five of the other boys turned to see the tall boy just before he was lost in the throng of employees. “Some random guy? Did Wes not just say we needed to be careful?” Sebastian said, irritatedly.
“We’ll be careful. Jeff, you totally stalked Nick before you asked him out, right?” Blaine asked. Jeff turned bright red but nodded. “Great. Figure out who he is and get me information on him. Then we will plan a “chance” meeting where I can get to know him.”
“That’s insane Blaine.”
“I don’t care. I am not marrying any of you so we need to find someone. That person is going to be a stranger so why can’t it be him?’
All the boys looked at each other. Sebastian looked jealous. Nick and Jeff shrugged like ‘why not’ while David and Wes looked concerned.
“I suppose there is no harm in trying,” Wes finally conceded.

“Hey Rachel…. Yeah I am headed home now... Guess who I saw today?!?... No... Nope…. Guess again…. Do you give up?... Blaine Anderson... NO, I am not lying... He is just as gorgeous in person as he is on tv...Okay, see you soon.” Kurt said and hung up the phone.
“Excuse me, Sir,” someone said. Kurt turned around saw a VERY blonde boy in front of him.
“Hi?” Kurt replied.
“I am new to the area and I was just wondering if you knew where the nearest coffee shop is?”
“Oh, um yeah. It is down the street and just on the other side of this block,” Kurt said and pointed somewhere beyond their line of sight.
“Thank you, uh,” the blonde started.
“Kurt,” he finished. The blonde smiled and started walking that way. When he got there he texted Nick: Name is Kurt

The next day was busy for the boys. Wes and David were coming up with a timeline. In the next month they had to convince the public that Blaine Anderson was in love and ready for marriage. He needed public appearances with his boyfriend. He needed interviews stating he was in love. Then a public proposal, and then a wedding. Nick and Jeff were digging up everything they could about the mysterious Vogue worker, Kurt. Sebastian pretty much sulked in the corner and Blaine was doing his actual job, meeting with singers and going over different details.
“Okay, his last name is Hummel,” Nick said. He is twenty-one. He goes to NYADA during the day and interns at Vogue in the evenings.”
“He sounds incredibly busy. It’d be hard to get him to agree to nights out on the town with Blaine,” Jeff exclaimed.
“Oh score!” Nick yelled and all heads turned towards him. Blaine had just walked in after finishing a meeting. “I found his facebook page. He has your page liked Blaine.”
Jeff moved his chair over and rested his head on Nick’s shoulder, looking at the screen. All the boys huddled around the screen except for Sebastian who scoffed, “how do we even know he is gay?”
“I think his last facebook post answers that,” David said.
Nick read it outloud in a dramatic tone. “‘MMM Mr. Anderson sure looked sexy presenting that award on the Grammy’s. Congrats Adam Lambert.’”
Blaine blushed and Sebastian rolled his eyes. “I found his schedule too, he gets off work at six thirty tonight. I’m thinking maybe you ‘accidentally’ run into him in the hall and then invite him to dinner as an apology.
“That is in fifteen minutes,” Blaine said.
“Yeah! Go get presentable and we will watch for him.”

Kurt was exhausted. Cassandra July was intense and had them learning an incredibly intricate routine. Vogue was fun but stressful. He was finally off work but he needed to bring home the last year’s issues to come up with a “Year in Review” article for December’s issue.
Leaning over the desk to turn the table lamp off, Kurt took one last glance around to make sure he had everything. Then he walked out of the Vogue office. He was looking down at the top article as he walked and didn’t see the man in front of him. Suddenly he was knocked backwards and his magazines went flying everywhere. Thankfully there was no one else in hallway.
“I am so so-” Kurt started to apologize but froze when he looked up and realized who he had knocked into. The man who filled his fantasies for the last three years. The man who had the most delicious body. The man whose curls he wanted to tug and pull. Blaine Anderson was crouched in front of him and they were nose to nose.
“Completely my fault,” Blaine said. Then he stuck his hand out to shake Kurt’s. Kurt just looked at it for a moment, totally starstruck. Then his brain came back to him and he snapped out of his daze.
“Kurt,” he said and shook the shorter boy’s hand.
“Blaine,” Blaine answered.
Kurt let out a laugh which made the corners of Blaine’s twitch up. “Like I don’t know who you are!” To that Blaine raised an eyebrow and Kurt quickly blushed. Blaine started to gather up the magazines and handed them to Kurt. “Thank you, Blaine.”
“No problem. Say, it’s pretty late. What do you say we grab some dinner?” Kurt was speechless. He had promised Rachel that they would drink wine and watch the food channel, but how in the fuck could he turn down dinner with BLAINE ANDERSON? “Do you already have plans?” Blaine asked when he didn’t receive an answer.
“NO,” Kurt yelled. Why couldn’t he speak like a normal human being? “I mean, no, I don’t. I would love to have dinner. Though I have to say that my budget is quite limited.”
“I’ll pay, consider it an apology for knocking you on your ass,” Blaine said and pulled Kurt to his feet. Kurt tried to refuse but he couldn’t seem to form any words. Blaine placed a hand on the small of his back and led him out of the building. “Ever heard of the Four Seasons?”
Kurt’s jaw dropped. “Heard of it!? Of course. It is on my bucket list to go there one day, but I could never afford it.”
“Well, then it is a good thing your not paying,” Blaine answered and shot Kurt a shy smile. Kurt blushed but smiled back.

“Tell me about yourself, Kurt,” Blaine said. He had convinced the waitstaff to give them the best seat. He quite enjoyed watching Kurt oggle over everything.
“I am boring compared to this life you seem to lead,” Kurt answered gesturing to the elegance which surrounded them. “Do you eat like this everyday?”
Blaine chuckled. “No. Admittedly I eat at home a lot. I am your everyday guy Kurt. Even I sit at home in my pajamas and eat red vines and cronuts. The job I hold calls for image though. I appear to live lavishly, but I much prefer to be lazy.”
Kurt smiled. “Well, to answer your earlier question,” Kurt started and he found himself blushing. “I go to NYADA and intern at Vogue. I love Vogue but I am up to my neck in loans and I may need to find a paying job soon. NYADA is fantastic, and I have a dream of performing on Broadway someday.”
Blaine smiled. They talked about different things. Blaine was astounded to realize they had gone to school a couple hours away and even competed against each other in show choir competitions. Kurt already knew that from his fangirling research. The night was full of laughs and smiles. They had only spent a few hours together but Blaine already knew that he wanted to see more of Kurt. The check came and Blaine picked it up before Kurt could even look at it.
The two walked arm in arm out of the restaurant. Kurt was incredibly happy. “I don’t want this night to end,” he said softly. “I mean it has been so nice,” Kurt amended quickly, as he didn’t want Blaine to think he had just asked to spend the night.
Blaine walked the two towards a small look out, overlooking the city. Night had fallen and the city lights were utterly gorgeous. “Kurt?” Blaine said softly. Kurt looked over at him and saw what looked like nerves. Did small town Kurt make famous Blaine Anderson nervous? “I have something to tell you.”
So... What'd y'all think?
