Author's Notes:

So, whatd ya think? What do you think is going to happen at the hotel?

Once Blaine had run a safe distance from Gabes apartment he stopped to catch his breath. Thoughts of where he could go swam around in his head. He didnt want to go home because Gabe knew where he lived. He would normally go over to Kurts in a situation like this but Blaine didnt think Kurt would really want to see him right now. Blaine walked over to a park bench and sat down. Dusk was falling quickly and he had to figure out where to go.

Meanwhile at Kurt and Rachels the apartment was finally clear of people. Rachel walked into Kurts room and sat on the edge of his bed. "Kurt. What happed?"

"I dont want to talk about it Rach."

"Yeah, you know if I threw myself at my best friend of almost nine years I wouldnt want to talk about it either."

"RACHEL!!! I didnt throw myself at him. Dont talk about stuff you dont know about."

Rachel was about to retort but the front door burst open. "WHERE IS HE!?"

"Gabe?" Kurt stared in disbelief.

"Yeah. Blaines boyfriend. You know Blaine, the boy whos throat you had your tongue down earlier this evening."

Kurt blanched at the explicit reminder of the evenings events. "I-I..." but Kurt couldnt think of anything else to say.

"Thats rich. Cant defend it because you know you shouldnt have done it."

"Im sorry Gabe. You should know that he left to talk to you right after it happened."

"Well he ran out of my apartment and I know he came here so where is he?"

"Hes not here. Why did he run out?"

"I dont know," Gabe lied.

Blaine finally calmed down and decided to swallow the awkwardness and call Kurt. After a few rings Kurt answered.

"Blaine where are you?" Kurt said instead of a greeting. He sounded worried.

"Um, Im sitting outside of Maria Hernandez Park. Gabe and I fought and-and..."

"Blaine, baby, are you okay?"

Blaine relaxed at Kurts use of a pet name but tensed up immediately when he heard a voice in the background on Kurts end muttering something about the pet name. "Is Gabe there?"

"Yeah he came over here looking for you."

"I dont want to see him. I dont want him to hit me again."

"HE WHAT!?"

"Kurt please come get me."

"I will be right there Honey hang tight."

"Thank you."

Kurt hung up the phone and grabbed his keys. "You need to leave and you are never welcome here again," he spat at Gabe.

"I guess he told you what I did. Will you tell him Im sorry?"

"No. What you did cant be forgiven."

"Maybe you should let him decide that for himself. It is his life after all. No wonder Adam cheated on you. No one wants to date a failed actor who tries to control their boyfriends life."

Kurts eyes flared with anger at that comment and he stormed out of his apartment to go find Blaine leaving Rachel to deal with Gabe.

Kurt pulled up to the park entrance of the park. He got out of his car and immediately chided at himself for not grabbing a jacket. It was snowing out and freezing on Kurts bare arms. Kurt started walking around looking for Blaine when his phone went off indicating he got a text. Figuring it was from Blaine he opened it.

Rachel: Gabe refuses to leave. He says hell sit outside the apartment until you come back with Blaine.

Kurt: Thanks. I guess Ill take Blaine to a hotel.

Rachel: oooo ;)

Kurt: Its not like that. Its...complicated. Ill tell you when I get home tomorrow.

After Kurt sent that last text he continued to walk. The snow was falling pretty heavily making it hard to see and he couldnt call out becuase the buzz of the city was louder than normal considering everyone else was out celebrating the New Year. Kurt came to a stop in the middle of the park looking around to see if he could see anyone when he felt something warm being draped over his shoulders. He whipped around came face to face with Blaine.

"Hi," Blaine said shyly. "Thank you for coming to rescue me. I never thought Gabe would hurt me."

"Of course Blaine. Come on. Ill lead you back to the car." Kurt took Blaines hand and started to walk towards the car. He was going pretty quickly because he wanted to get Blaine warmed up. After all hed been sitting in the snow awhile and he gave Kurt his jacket.

Once they got in the car Kurt turned the heater up and turned to face Blaine. Blaine looked at him and smiled a little apprehensively.

"Kurt I-"

"Blaine please"

They both started at the same and then stopped. "You first," Blaine gestured.

"Um okay," Kurt started, trying to will the blush rising on his cheeks away. "Blaine, please dont talk about what happened between us tonight. Im just so tired and I dont want to talk about it tonight."

"Okay I wont bring it up."

"Thank you. Now what were you going to say?"

That I love you too. "Just that I really appreciate you picking me up."

"Of course silly. Youre still my best friend. Now the other thing is that Gabe refuses to leave our apartment because he thinks Im bringing you back there."

"Oh Kurt I dont want to see him."

"I know, thats why I figured we could go to a hotel for the night?"

"Oh. Um. Yeah."

"Only if youre okay with that, I dont want it to be awkward."

"Nah, like you said, youre still my best friend."
