"Kurt?" Rachel approached him slowly. 

Kurt turned to look at her. His face was showing a shocked expression but upon seeing that everyone was staring at him it turned into one of embarassment. Suddenly overcome with emotion Kurt ran to his room and tears started to stream down his cheeks for the second time that evening. He didnt know whether they were tears from rejection or embarrassment. Kurt was curled up on his bed and he heard Rachel telling people to leave. A text notification sounded from Kurts cell on his night stand. 

Kurt? - Blaine

Hey - Kurt

Im sorry I ran out of there... I just... hold on - Blaine

Kurt frowned at the last text. He and Blaine were always honest with eachother so why was Blaine holding back? Kurts phone started to ring and Blaines number popped up.

"Blaine?"

"Hi Kurt. Im sorry I called you, I just wanted to hear your voice."

"Well you would still be able to hear my voice if you hadnt run out of my apartment and left everyone staring at me. God Blaine! I was so embarrassed." Kurt tried not to sound upset but there was definitely a sharp edge to his voice.

"Im sorry. I just got scared when I saw Gabes name."

"Why? You said hed be okay if we kissed at midnight. That you guys are in an "open relationship" or whatever."

"I... I know I said that. I just-"

"What Blaine? You just saw me sad and decided that you could make it better by kissing me!? A whole lot of good that did me. Now I am in my room crying again." Kurt bit his lip to hold in a sob. Within the last hour he was cheated on, had his feelings for Blaine come rushing back, and watched Blaine leave to go talk to his boyfriend.

"I didnt want to hurt you Kurt. I dont want to hurt you. Never."

"Well you did."

The line went silent for a few seconds as neither boy spoke. Blaine broke the silence. "Are we going to talk about what happened?"

"Nothing happened."

"Oh come on Kurt. You and I both know that that was more than just a kiss to celebrate the new year."

"I just got caught up in the moment."

"Bullshit."

"What do you want me to say Blaine? Huh? Do you want me to tell you I love you? That Ive loved you ever since high school and I was just fooling myself with Adam?" Kurt spilled it all out before he could stop himself. After he realized what he just admitted he spoke again before Blaine could. "I have to go."

"Wait Kur-" but Kurt already hung up the phone.

"Huh?" Blaine asked as he walked back into Gabes apartment. He was just digesting what Kurt had told him on the phone. "Oh I just had to call Kurt."

"You just came from Kurts. You couldnt go 20 minutes without talking to him again?"

"Of course I can Gabe. I just wanted to tell him I left him I left my jacket there. I didnt want anyone else to take it on accident."

"Oh, well okay. Its really late. I had just gotten off from work and called to say goodnight. I dont quite understand why you rushed over here."

"Oh. Yeah I guess it is late. I should get going," Blaine grabbed his keys off the table.

"Or," Gabe put his hand on Blaines wrist. "You could stay over."

Blaine looked down at Gabe from his standing position. Was Gabe really suggesting that Blaine stay over? Theyd only been dating a few months and there was no way their relationship had progressed that far. Gabe stood up and placed a light kiss to Blaines lips, and moved his mouth along Blaines jaw down to his neck until it clicked in Blaines mind what was happening.

"Stop Gabe," Blaine said trying to take a step back but Gabe just used that momentum to push him against the wall. 

"What baby? Dont tell me you havent been thinking about this since we started dating." Gabe said and reattached his lips to Blaines neck.

"Gabe. No! I dont want to do this. Not right now." Blaine pushed him away with little effort and was surprised at first until he realized that Gabe had stepped back on his own accord and his eyes were blazing with anger.

"What happened at that party Blaine?" He demanded.

"N-nothing," Blaine stuttered. He was scared. Gabe looked extremely angry.

"Well something mustve otherwise you would be all over the chance to stay with me"

"Im just not ready to go that far."

"Alright fine. Youre not ready. Its late though so you should stay anyway and we wont do anything."

"Um," Blaine was about to protest but Gabe started speaking again.

"Exactly! You dont want to stay not because you dont want me but because something happened at that party and you dont want me to know about it. WHAT HAPPENED!?" Gabes face was completely red now and Blaine was really starting to fear. His eyes glanced to the door that stood on the otherside of Gabe. 

"Im leaving," Blaine tried to step around Gabe but Gabe wrapped his hand around Blaines arm. "Let go of me!"

"Tell me what happened. Did you sleep with him? Did you sleep with Kurt? I knew you liked him. I see the way you look at him and the way your eyes light up when he is mentioned in a conversation."

"I didnt sleep with him, Gabe," Blaine explained.

"But you did do something." Gabe said more like a statement than a question. His facial expression changed to one of hurt and his grip loosened on Blaines arm.

"I kissed him." Blaine said defeated. All at once the anger was back in Gabes eyes and his hand left Blaines arm only to slap him across the face. Blaine froze in shock that Gabe would actually hit him. Blaines defences kicked in and he ran out the door not stopping when he heard Gabe calling after him.
