Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Glee or any of the characters. I might try to of Ryan fucks up season 6 though.

Blaine had been home for four weeks and the two of them had only been caught fooling around twice. Luckily it wasn't by Burt. Carole had accidently walked into the room while they were making out thinking they were in the back yard. The second; Kurt had his hand down Blaine's pants palming him through his boxers. Blaine was moaning Kurt's name and, according to Finn, it sounded like he was having a nightmare.

The trial was set to begin four days from now. Carole and Burt in Washington for the next day and Finn and Rachel and gone out for a date that night.

Kurt and Blaine sat on the couch watching TV. Blaine, as usual, had his lips connected to Kurt's neck.

Kurt was trying desperately to ignore his very horny on boyfriend. It wasn't like Kurt didn't want it too. It had been months since the two of them were able to be together in that way. He was just very scared of hurting Blaine. He knew that it had been weeks since Blaine was cleared by the doctor and that he was now allowed to exercise and elevate his heart rate again, but Kurt was very wary about going all the way again.

“Your parents…are out of town.” Blaine said coming up for air. “Finn is out with Rachel.” He said coming up for another breath. “We're all alone.”

Kurt knew that he was going to have a mark on his neck if he didn't push Blaine away or humor him and go for it. Kurt gasped suddenly when he felt Blaine's hand rubbing over his half hard cock.

“Wait…wait…wait.” Kurt said pulling away from Blaine.

“What?” Blaine asked very confused.

“Are you sure? It's been months and are you sure you're gonna be alright going all the way again?” Kurt asked.

“Kurt, I am fine. The effects from the coma have finally worn off. All of my bones and muscles feel strong again. And my body is aching for you.” Blaine explained trying to get closer to Kurt again. He reattached himself to Kurt's neck sucking on it fiercely.

“Fine.” Kurt said quickly moving to connect to Blaine's lips.

Blaine lowered Kurt onto his back on the couch his tongue quickly invading Kurt's mouth.

Kurt quickly untucked Blaine's shirt trying to get it off of him.

It took both of them only seconds to get harder than they had ever been before because of how long it had been. They were both trying to contain themselves so neither came to soon, but just with the simple touches they were both going crazy.

Blaine finally came up and took off his shirt. Kurt stopped him from coming down and kissing him for a moment just to stare at his boyfriend's perfectly sculpted body. He ran his hands up and down Blaine's abdomen caressing each muscle as he did.

Kurt pulled Blaine back down and wasted no time pulling him in to kiss him. Their tongues wrestled for dominance until Blaine pulled off and got off the couch. “Where are you…oh.” Kurt said taking Blaine's hand and standing up to meet him. Blaine carefully pulled Kurt's shirt from his body.

“You are perfect.” Blaine whispered into Kurt's ear as his hands wondered around Kurt' bare chest.

“Come on.” Kurt said pulling Blaine towards the bedroom.

They almost ran to the bedroom eager to jump into bed and make love. Blaine ran Kurt into the wall pushing his body up against Kurt's.

Kurt had to gasp for air when he felt Blaine's dick pushing against his own. It had been far too long since he was feeling this good.

Blaine quickly took his own pants off and started to do the same to Kurt.

Kurt was almost frozen with pleasure surging through his body. After Blaine had successfully taken Kurt's pants off and thrown them across the room he pulled him to the bed.

“I need you.” Blaine whispered.

Kurt turned them around and let Blaine fall to the bed on his back. He gave Blaine a look. “I'm fine. Come here.” He said as Kurt lowered himself onto Blaine.

Kurt started to lick Blaine's torso sucking both of his nipples into his mouth. His tongue swirled around them making Blaine's pelvis thrust up into Kurt's. Each time it did Kurt was sure he was going to cum, but managed to hold it back.

“Too…many…clothes.” Blaine said trying to push Kurt's underwear off of his body.

Kurt stood up and slowly took his underwear from his body before removing Blaine's also.

Blaine sat up on the edge of the bed taking in the image of Kurt naked and standing in front of him.

He wrapped his arm around Kurt's waist and pulled him down to the bed causing Kurt to laugh loudly. The friction of their dicks rubbing together was becoming almost too much for either of them to handle. “Please.” Kurt said.

Blaine rolled away and got their supplies from his bedside table. He quickly warmed the lube in his hands before letting three fingers enter Kurt at once wanting to feel Kurt around him quickly.

Kurt cried out in pain and pleasure as Blaine stretched him open for the first time in almost four months.

“More, Blaine. Please more.” Kurt pleaded almost crying with the need to cum, but not wanting to just yet.

Blaine pulled out of Kurt to get a whine in response from the sudden emptiness. He fumbled trying to get the condom on and get his cock slick.

He finally had his dick coated with lube and with one swift movement entered Kurt completely. Kurt screamed in pure pleasure not acknowledging how much pain he was in.

Blaine stayed completely still after entering Kurt. He leaned down and kissed Kurt slowly; his tongue only grazing over his lips.

Blaine pulled away painfully slowly. “Please, Blaine. I need you to fuck me.” Kurt said.

Blaine was so shocked hearing this from Kurt. He wasn't normally the one to say anything like that. But Blaine didn't hesitate and started to thrust in and out of Kurt enjoying the way it felt to have his beautiful boyfriend wrapped tightly around him.

Kurt was certain he was leaving scratches on Blaine's back, but he didn't care. He could barely form complete thoughts as Blaine thrust faster and harder each time. It didn't take long for Kurt to start coming all over his chest. As his orgasm hit he let out a loud cry clutching onto Blaine's back even tighter. Blaine reached down and pumped him through it just before he hit the edge too.

Blaine collapsed on top of Kurt, but didn't pull out. It wasn't because he was too tender, but he didn't want to not feel Kurt around him.

After a few minutes Blaine finally rolled over onto his back next to Kurt. “I almost forgot how good that always felt.” Blaine said quietly.

Kurt rolled over and curled up to Blaine's side. “I love you so much.” Kurt told him. Blaine wrapped his arms tightly around Kurt and started to run his fingers through his hair. “Are you ready for next week?” Kurt asked him.

“No.” Blaine said emotionless. “I just want to curl up in here with you until the entire thing is over.” Blaine said moving to get the both of them underneath the comforter. “It's safer in here.”

“You'll be okay. You're the strongest person I've ever met.” Kurt told him drawing circles on Blaine's chest.

“You're just saying that to get into my pants.” Blaine laughed.

“I already did that once today. I don't need to compliment you.” Kurt laughed.

Blaine pushed him away and rolled in the other direction. “Come on. I was only kidding.” Kurt said trying to roll Blaine back to face him. Blaine didn't move. “B, I'm sorry. You're handsome and talented.”

“Go on.” Blaine said with a large smile on his face.

“And really strong; mentally and physically. And you make me feel really good.”

“You got me.” Blaine said quickly turning back to face Kurt and kissing him passionately.

Kurt fell onto the bed hitting his head on the headboard making it smack against the wall. It didn't stop Blaine from crawling on top of Kurt both of them laughing. “Our first sex injury.” Blaine said almost excited.

“I hope our last. At least mine. That hurt.” Kurt said rubbing his head.

Blaine went in and kissed Kurt again. “Getting hurt while having sex isn't a bad way to do it actually.” Blaine said coming up for air. He paused for a moment. “Happy to see me?”

“Get off me.” Kurt said playfully pushing Blaine away.

Blaine rolled away giggling as he did. “You're gonna make me fall off the bed.” He laughed turning to face Kurt.

“Maybe that's what I was going for?” Kurt joked.

Blaine said nothing; he simply smiled at Kurt and lifted the comforter over his head.

“What are you doing?” Kurt asked as Blaine moved down the bed.

Blaine poked his head out from underneath the covers. “We have one more night together before your dad gets home. I'm making the most of it.” He disappeared once again.

“Wha-a-a…” Kurt said as he felt Blaine's mouth sink around his dick.

Kurt quickly began to reach for something hold on to while his boyfriend's tongue was tracing his cock. His moans were beginning to get very loud as Blaine managed to get lower and lower on his penis.

“Dear god, Blaine.” Kurt almost screamed.

Suddenly three loud knocks were at the door. “I'm home; keep it down.” Finn shouted.

Blaine quickly released Kurt's dick from his mouth and sat up by the headboard. “Well, that killed the mood.” Blaine said sounding very annoyed.

Kurt waited and listened to hear Finn go upstairs. “He's gone. We just can't be really loud.” Kurt said rubbing Blaine's chest. “He's just mad that he's not getting any.”

Blaine laughed. “Yeah, it just kind of passed.”

“Are you serious? You get me all wound up just to leave me high and dry?” Kurt was almost offended.

“Knowing he's upstairs and listening. Not to mention he's walked in on us once already.” Blaine said.

“We had all of our clothes on that time.” Kurt said inching closer to Blaine. Kurt began to place light kisses on Blaine's chest. “What can I do…to help you relax…and get back to doing what you were doing?” He asked in between kisses.

“That. That's good.” Blaine said his heart beginning to race.

Kurt reached down and started to jerk him off. “Right there?” He asked just before he kissed Blaine.

“Fuck it.” Blaine said flipping Kurt over to his back and letting himself get lost in their kiss.

The next morning Burt and Carole got home from the airport around 9 AM. Burt went up and set their bags down and wake up Kurt.

Carole walked quickly but quietly to Blaine's bedroom. “Boys, we're home. Wake up.” She said knocking on the door as lightly as she could trying to get them awake. “I really don't want to open the door. Kurt! Blaine!” She snapped still no answer.

“Kurt!” She heard Burt from upstairs.

She took a deep breath and opened the door slightly. “Hey!” She said not looking towards the bed. “We're home. Clothes. Hurry, you're dad already knows you're not in your room.”

Both boys jumped awake and rushed to get their clothes on.

“Kurt! Blaine!” They could hear Burt yelling as he rushed down the stairs.

Carole quickly walked to run interference. “Burt, calm down.”

“What are they doing?”

“Sleeping.” She told him. “They are both old enough to making their own decisions. They grew up a lot faster than you would like, but they did. What they're doing in there is none of our business.”

“I just want to talk to them.” Burt said with a huff.

“No, you want to yell at Blaine.” Carole corrected him knowing that he was going to go after Blaine more than Kurt. “Okay they are sixteen and in love. Sex was going to happen. I know Kurt is your little boy, but you cannot tell him not to have sex.”

Kurt and Blaine had their ears glued to the bedroom door listening for the opportune time to exit so they weren't killed for sleeping the same bed.

“And you cannot put all of the blame on Blaine. Kurt is just as involved when making this decision.” Carole continued. “I've spoken to both of them. I've given them permission to share a bed while we're away. And they're being safe.

“So when they walk out that door; do not start screaming. They are teenagers; all of this is completely natural.” She told him sternly.

Kurt and Blaine looked at each other neither knowing what to do next, but walk out the door.

Blaine slowly opened the door to reveal Burt and Carole standing just outside of it. “Morning.” He said timidly.

He slowly walked out of the room followed closely by Kurt. “Hi, dad.” Kurt said quietly.

“I've been told that yelling is not going to change what you two do while you're alone.” Burt said through his teeth. “Just don't let me catch you.” He said and walked away.

“That went a lot better than I thought.” Blaine said releasing the breath he didn't realize he was holding in.

“This does not give you two permission to be doing that all the time.” Carole told them sternly. “Not during the day. And preferably not while your father is home.”

“Let me get this perfectly clear. You are giving us permission to have intimate relations in the house?” Blaine asked.

“Blaine.” Kurt said very shocked.

“When an appropriate time presents itself.” Carole told him. “I am not going to bring down that rule because you two have been through a hard time. I believe that the two of you are bring careful and truly know what doing that entails exactly. You understand that it's more than feeling good. So be safe and smart about it.”

Blaine thought for a moment before trying to drag Kurt back into the bedroom. Kurt resisted his tugging.

“Not now.” Carole clarified.

“Oh, appropriate for the entire house?”

“Blaine, you're trying to get kicked out.” Kurt told him.

“Can we head to the cottage? We haven't been out there in a while.” Blaine asked looking at Kurt optimistically.

“Ask your father.” Carole told the boys and walked away.

“Does he even know about the cottage? Carole told us not to tell him about it.” Blaine asked looking at Kurt.

“I'll just have to be gentle.” Kurt said walking towards the kitchen to talk to his father. Blaine hesitated for a moment before he decided to follow.

When Kurt entered the kitchen his dad was sitting at the table eating a small breakfast. “Dad?” Kurt said slowly walking into the room.

“Hey, bud.” Burt responded.

“Um, Blaine and I were wondering if we could go to this cottage Carole gave us the keys to a couple of towns over?” Kurt gave Burt that smile he knew got him whatever he wanted. Kurt noticed his father's head almost in his food. “What's wrong?” He sat down across from Burt.

“I'm just realizing how much you've grown up.” Burt said look up at him. “I'm sorry for being so tightly wound, but I just don't want you to get hurt.”

“I won't hurt him.” Blaine said walking into the room. He put his hands gently on Kurt's shoulders from behind.

“And heaven forbid he does, I will be okay. Getting hurt is a part of life, dad.”

“But I'm never going to hurt him.” Blaine interjected wanting to make that perfectly clear. He had no intentions on ever letting anyone hurt Kurt.

Kurt pulled Blaine around to sit down next to him. “Well, Carole said you are being safe and everything. Why do you want to go to the cottage?”

“I think it would be good to get B's mind off of everything before Monday.” Kurt told his dad not wanting him to know Blaine wanted to go to the cottage specifically to have sex.

“Just be careful.” Burt told them.

“Thank you, dad.” Kurt told him.

“Thank you so much, Burt.” Blaine said walking around to give Burt a huge hug. “I promise you I will not hurt or let anyone hurt your son. He is the most important person in the world to me and I love him more than I ever thought I could love someone. I will protect him.” Blaine whispered to Burt.

“Thank you.” Burt said prying Blaine off of him. “You two get going. Enjoy the weekend be back tomorrow before 10.” He told them.

Both boys quickly got around so they could head to the cottage. They hadn't been out there since Blaine's dad had broken his nose.

They walked in and were reminded of the wonderful weekend they had spent there months back. Everything was how they had left it.

Kurt quickly threw the groceries into the cupboard and refrigerator while Blaine took his seat on the couch and turned on a movie.

Kurt hurriedly sat down next to Blaine and cuddled into his side. “I love this.” Kurt said with a sigh.

“Me too.” Blaine said and kissed the top of Kurt's head. They sat in this position for hours neither moving to do anything, aside from changing the movie. “How long is this stupid trial going to take?” Blaine finally asked.

“I don't know. It could be months.” Kurt responded. “But you will never walk into that courtroom without me. Or my parents.”

“I have the best boyfriend in the world.” Blaine said.

“Me too.”

“How am I supposed to get through this? I couldn't even talk to the lawyer weeks ago.” Blaine said. “And they want to call me as a witness.”

“And me and my dad. But, B, you're gonna be fine. If you have a hard time; just look at me. Don't look at your father or the lawyers or the judge; especially not the jury. Right at me; right in the eyes.” Kurt said looking up at Blaine. “I'll be right there the entire time.”

“I just feel like the defense might figure out a way to ask the right questions to get him off and I'll look like the bad guy.” Blaine admitted.

“What?” Kurt sat up so he could really look at Blaine. “There is no way that the defense can start to ask you questions that make him look like the victim in this.” Kurt told him.

“What if…?” Blaine started.

“B, there is a world of ‘what if's you just can't think about them.” Kurt told him bringing him close to his chest.

“Humor me. What if he gets off and challenges for custody?” Blaine asked with nothing but pure terror in his eyes. He was genuinely concerned that his father may be released and want him back.

Kurt looked into his terrified boyfriend's eyes and tried to form a good response for him, but nothing was coming to him. He never considered this scenario. “Mrs. Cummings will fight, but, honey, that fucking asshole will not get released. There's too much physical evidence against him. And an eye witness to him beating you.” Kurt pulled Blaine close to his body. “We will get through this together.”

They knew they only had one night together there at the cottage and Kurt knew why Blaine wanted to go there. But once they got there and were cuddled together on the couch it was the last thing on their minds. Blaine's mind was racing about the trial beginning on Monday and Kurt was worried about what the trial was going to do to Blaine.

They fell asleep on the couch that night holding each other close.

Kurt woke up the next morning and looked at his sleeping boyfriend. He knew that Blaine had been having nightmares about the trial and the incident; so he hugged him tighter.

Before they knew it; it was Monday and Kurt was helping Blaine get into his suit to head to the courthouse for the arraignment. Burt and Carole were waiting downstairs for the boys.

“I really don't like this.” Burt said as he put his shoes on.

“Neither do I, but you and the boys all need to be there.” Carole told him.

“I'm just worried about the kid. He's still waking up in the middle of the night screaming.” Burt said standing up. “Kurt! Blaine! Let's go!” He yelled up the stairs. “I really just want to see this man go down, but I don't want the boys to have to sit and watch.”

“It will be fine. They are both strong young men.” Carole reassured him as Kurt and Blaine came down the stairs. “Are you ready?” She asked them.

“No.” Blaine responded looking down at the floor.

Kurt took Blaine's hands and held on tight. He knew that today was going to be hard for all of them, but Blaine was going to be broken after this trial ended.

They drove in silence to the courthouse besides the hum of the radio through the car speakers. Blaine stared out the window as the town flew passed. Every few seconds Carole would look back to make sure he was okay. She knew that this trial was going to be hard. Just walking into the courtroom and seeing his father was going to make him crack and who knew if he would ever be alright again.

They got to the courthouse and started to walk in. Blaine froze just before ascending the steps to the doors. Kurt turned around and saw the fear on his face. He walked back to him. “Whenever you're ready.” He said rubbing his shoulder.

Burt and Carole were waiting at the top of the steps at the door. They watched as Kurt simply stood next to Blaine. He didn't touch him or try to speak to him. He just stood there.

“I'm ready.” Blaine said looking at Kurt.

“Let's go.” Kurt said gently placing his hand on Blaine's upper back.

They slowly walked up the stairs to meet Kurt's parents and walk in together. They walked silently down the large hallways to find the courtroom they needed to be in.

“This is just the arraignment, correct? Why does Blaine have to be here?” Burt asked Mr. Smith once they reached the door.

Kurt and Blaine sat down on a bench next to the large double doors leading into the courtroom.

“I want to see how he reacts to being in the same room with his father. I'm hoping that George won't see him.” Mr. Smith explained.

“Mrs. Spencer?” Blaine called out at sight of the old lady.

“Blaine.” She said walking right up to him. “Mr. Hummel has been keeping me updated, but how are you feeling?” She asked cupping his face. “Are you adjusting well?”

“I'm fine.” He responded. “The Hummel's are the best people I could be staying with.”

“What about Cooper? Is he here?”

“No, he left a couple of weeks ago after I got cleared completely. He'll be back tomorrow.” Blaine told her.

“How are you two doing?” She asked with a wink.

“We're perfect.” Blaine said taking Kurt's hand in his own.

“I've been called to testify. Just so you know. They've called your grandparents in for the defense.” Mrs. Spencer told him.

Blaine jumped from his seated position. “Can they take me away from Kurt and Burt and Carole?” Blaine's breathing was beginning to get erratic.

“Mr. Smith!” Kurt hollered towards his parents. “Why didn't you tell us Blaine's grandparents were called for the defense?”

“I…I…”

“What?” Burt interrupted him. “What kind of prosecutor are you? This kid's life was threatened by the man on the other side of that door.” Burt scolded.

Carole quickly walked over to a shaking Blaine. “It will be fine. We aren't going to let anyone take you. We'll talk to Mrs. Cummings.” She said pulling him into one of her magical ‘mom' hugs that Blaine loved.

As Burt continued to scold Mr. Smith Blaine saw his grandparents walk into the courthouse.

His grandmother, Edith, was a short woman. She had on designer clothes with her hair pulled back in a loose, but classy bun. His grandfather, Matthew, was very tall unlike his father and Blaine. He was dressed in a very nice suit with his hair slicked like Blaine's.

Blaine immediately took Kurt's hand and held on with a death grip. He knew that his grandparents were not going like the fact that he is gay and has a boyfriend. Or that their son was on trial for the deaths of Victor Briggs and their daughter-in-law. What he didn't know was how they were going to react when they saw him knowing George beat him or when they found out he was living with his boyfriend's family.

As they got closer Blaine's grip on Kurt got tighter. “Hi, grandma.” Blaine peeped as they walked right passed him without even looking in his direction. “This should be interesting.” He said watching his grandparents be ushered into the courtroom.

“Who was that with them?” Kurt asked.

“They're chauffer. His name is Thomas. He drives them around and holds the doors open for them. He lives in a tiny room in their basement and barely gets to eat.” Blaine told them. “He was always really nice though. Of course so were they.”

“It's time.” Mr. Smith said.

Burt walked in first followed closely by Kurt and Blaine holding hands and Carole behind them.

Blaine walked in and saw how many people were there. He didn't realize that the press was going to be all over this. As soon as Burt was no longer covering Blaine the cameras started flash.

Blaine instinctively curled into Kurt's arms trying to hide his face. Kurt slowly guided him to the benches and they sat down.

Blaine looked up and saw his father sitting at the defense table and his heart skipped a beat. He was holding onto Kurt's hand so tightly he thought he was hurting him, but Kurt never said a word. Kurt gently rubbing Blaine's leg trying to calm him down.

He had to admit; having Kurt rubbing his leg was definitely calming some of the nerves inside of him. He always felt so much safer while Kurt was next to him.

“Please rise for the Honorably Judge Simmons.” The bailiff said. The entire courtroom obliged and stood while Judge Simmons entered the room and sat down.

“Will the defendant please rise.” Judge Simmons said. George and his newly appointed lawyer, Kevin Vargas, stood. “George Anderson, you have been charged with two accounts of murder and one account of child abuse. How do you plead?”

“Not guilty, your honor.” George said.

The entire room was silent, even Judge Simmons, they all knew that George was going to prison for the rest of his life. Most of the jury had already made up their minds when they found out what had happened.

“The trial will begin tomorrow at ten o'clock AM.” He stood followed by the rest of the room and walked out.

Blaine let out his breath and loosened his grip on Kurt's hand. Burt and Carole quickly ushered the boys out of the room to avoid Blaine's grandparents. The group stopped just outside the door while Mr. Smith spoke to them about the trial and how it was going to happen. He apologized again for not warning them about Blaine's grandparents.

“Blaine.” Thomas said from behind them.

They all turned around to see the man standing there. “Hello, Thomas.” Blaine said.

“I'm sorry about all of this. It must be hard to see your father accused of something he didn't do.” Thomas said to them.

They all looked from each other back to Thomas. “What?” Burt asked.

“I mean I would be so broken up after my mother's murder already; let alone having the police blame it on my father. I can't imagine what you're going through.” Thomas explained.

“Thomas!” Matthew yelled. “Get the car.” Thomas quickly left the courthouse to get the car.

Blaine had a slight staring match with his grandparents. “Hi.” He said quietly.

“Blaine.” Matthew said coldly. “What is wrong with you?”

Burt was about to step in when Blaine spoke. “Me? I'm not the one on trial for murder and child abuse.” He told his grandfather.

“Do not speak in that tone to me.” Matthew saw the stern and irritated way Kurt was looking at the two of them. “Tell the faggot not to look at me.” He said to Blaine.

Blaine looked away from his grandfather knowing it was going to cause some trouble. “What are you doing?” Kurt asked quietly.

“I was told not to look at him. I know he was talking to me because if he had called you that I would have hit him.” Blaine told him. “Because no one speaks to my boyfriend that way.”

“Blaine. Devon. Anderson.” His grandfather bellowed. “You will not speak to me in that manner. Or I will pull you from these horrid people's house.”

“Excuse me?” Burt said astonished this man would say that.

“You allow your child to live in sin. You encourage your child to live in sin. And you're allowing the two of them in the same house.” He said.

“They're gay. Who fucking gives a shit?” Burt said. “What I do care about is a man coming in here and speaking that way about my kid and his boyfriend.”

“Let's just go. They aren't worth it.” Carole said pushing the boys towards the door.

“Depending on how this trial goes we might be taking Blaine with us.” Matthew said.

“The hell you are.” Burt told him.

“Come on.” Kurt said taking Blaine's hand.

Blaine looked at his grandmother as he walked passed. She looked almost sympathetic, but he wasn't sure who for.

Carole led the boys out of the courthouse while Burt stayed back determined to but Matthew Anderson in his place. “Listen, that kid has gone through hell. He was beaten into a coma three months ago. We're being woken up by his nightmares. There is no way in hell I'm letting that kid leave my home until he's eighteen.”

“I am his family.” Matthew told him.

“No. You're not. Family wouldn't speak that way in front of their own.” Burt said and walked away.

The next morning Kurt was up first and went down to check on Blaine before they had to leave. The prosecution always presented their arguments first and they all had to be there as witnesses. Blaine was curled up, wide awake, on his bed. Kurt could tell he hadn't been to sleep all night. “Hey.” He said walking into the room. “Good morning, B.” Kurt sat down next to him on the bed and rubbed his back.

“I don't think I can do this, Kurt.” He said turning around so they could see each other. “It's too much. My dad and my grandparents hate me. They are all going to be in one room staring at me while I tell a bunch of people that my dad killed my therapist and my mother and beat me into a coma.” He stopped for a second. “I'm gonna break.”

“And I'm gonna be right there helping you get back together. Just look at me the entire time. This trial shouldn't take too long there is too much evidence against him. Hopefully, you'll only have to go up there once.” Kurt said pushing Blaine's loose curls away from his eyes. He leant down and kissed Blaine's forehead. “Just like everything we've faced; we're gonna get through this together.”

Blaine always felt better after Kurt gave his ‘we're in this together' speech and played with his hair. Blaine had even stopped gelling his hair when they weren't going out so Kurt could run his fingers through it.

Blaine finally got up and around just in time for them all to leave.

The four of them sat outside the courtroom waiting for their names to be called.

“The prosecution would like to call Burt Hummel to the stand.”

Burt walked slowly to the witness stand and was sworn in.

“Mr. Hummel, how long have you known the defendant?” Mr. Smith asked.

“I've known George Anderson for about ten years. We hadn't spoken in eight though.” He stated.

“Why?”

“My son and I moved from New York to Ohio and we lost touch.”

“Have you ever known Mr. Anderson to have violent tendencies?”

“Not until recently.” Burt said looking around the room. He was beginning to get terrified of what could happen. They had all been over their testimony before the trial had begun, but it was still nerve racking.

“What was the first time you can recall hearing of a violent act committed by the defendant?” Mr. Smith asked.

“It was about four months ago. His son had come to my home in Lima with a black eye and broken nose. He said George had hit him.”

“Did he say what caused his sudden act?”

“Blaine…it had to do with his sexuality.” Burt responded not wanting to out Blaine with a bunch of cameras and reporters in the room.

“Have you ever known the boy to lie?”

“He's been nothing but honest since the day I met him.” Burt said proudly.

“Do you believe that the defendant hit his son hard enough to make him slip into a coma?” Mr. Smith asked eyeing Burt.

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“I heard the way he spoke to him.”

“What did he say?”

“He used very derogatory language towards him.”

“Such as?”

“Faggot. Piece of shit. He once told him that he wasn't the son he wanted.”

“For the purpose of this trial. Can you tell us? Is Blaine Anderson, the defendant's son, homosexual?” Mr. Smith asked.

Burt took a moment. He knew that Blaine's sexuality was going to come up during the trial. It was a hate crime, but he wanted Blaine to be the one to say it.

He looked at the cameras and took a deep breath. “Yes.”

“I have no further questions.” Mr. Smith said and sat down.

Kevin Vargas stood up and approached Burt. “Mr. Hummel, did you ever see the defendant hit Blaine?”

“No.”

“What makes you think that he did?”

“Blaine doesn't lie. He wouldn't make anything like that up.” Burt said sounding very agitated.

“What about towards his wife?”

“He was always caring towards Vivian.” Burt was beginning to worry about his testimony.

“I have no further questions.” Kevin sat down.

“You may step down.” Judge Simmons said to Burt.

Burt walked out of the courtroom and into the hallway. “I hope I didn't say anything wrong.” He said walking over to Carole.

The bailiff came over and called Kurt into the room.

As Kurt sat on the witness stand he was looking at all of the people staring at him. The cameras were pointing in his direction. The jury looked angry the entire time. He looked over at George Anderson sitting in the defense seat with a smug look on his face and Kurt got angrier than he can ever remember being.

He knew that this was not going to be easy, but he didn't realize that it was going to be so nerve racking. He didn't know that it would feel so terrifying looking at the defense attorney. He was terrified of saying the wrong thing and helping the defense's case.

But he knew that all he would have to do is tell the truth. He saw George hitting Blaine. He had seen Blaine with hand print bruises when they were kids. He knew that George was abusive, but that didn't calm the nerves.

“Mr. Hummel,” Mr. Smith said standing up. “How long have you known the Anderson's?”

“Since I was six. About ten years.” Kurt responded.

“In that time have you ever seen the defendant harm Blaine or Vivian Anderson?”

“Not until that night all of this happened.” He looked over at George, who still looked extremely arrogant.

“Did you have any suspicions he would be capable of this?” He asked him.

“Once, when I was seven. Blaine showed up to singing rehearsal with a handprint like bruise on his arm; like someone had grabbed him.” Kurt said cautiously.

“Why didn't you say anything?”

“I was seven; I didn't know what happened.” Kurt told him.

“Are you romantically involved with the defendant's son?” Mr. Smith asked.

Kurt was taken aback by this. He didn't know that Mr. Smith was going to ask him that question. They hadn't gone over that part. He looked around the room. “Yes.” He said simply.

“Did you ever hear the defendant speak poorly of homosexuals?” He asked.

“No, I didn't see him much after Blaine and I started dating.” Kurt told the court.

“Why? He is your boyfriend's father?”

“The day after we got together Blaine went home to hear his parents calling me a…” He paused not wanting to repeat the word. “They both called me a faggot. He decided to hide everything from his parents until the time was right. They forced it out of him.”

“His mother too?”

“Yes.”

“Do you think that Vivian Anderson decided to accept Blaine and that's why George killed her?”

“Objection, your honor.” Kevin Vargas said. “He's asking the witness to draw a conclusion.”

“Sustained.” Judge Simmons said.

“Sorry, your honor.” Mr. Smith said nodding towards the judge. “I have no further questions.”

Kevin stood up from his table. “Kurt, is Blaine living with you?”

“Yes.” Kurt responded not entirely sure why this was of importance.

“Do you like having your boyfriend with you every day? Getting to sleep in the same bed?”

“I like seeing him, but we don't even sleep on the same floor of the house. Dad's rules.” Kurt said knowing where the lawyer was trying to take him.

The courtroom chuckled at Kurt's confession of Burt's house rules.

“But you like having him there?”

“Of course. But I didn't mind not living with him; we're only 16.” Kurt said sternly wanting to get out of this line of questioning.

“Did you ever meet Doctor Victor Briggs?”

“No.”

“But you knew Vivian Anderson?”

“Of course.” Kurt was beginning to get a little irritated and tried to hide it.

“Did she ever look like Mr. Anderson harmed her?”

“No.”

“I have no further questions.” Kevin sat down.

“You may step down.” Judge Simmons said.

Kurt walked out of the courtroom and back into hallway.

“Court will resume tomorrow at ten o'clock AM.” He pounded the gavel and left the room.
