It had been three weeks since George had been put in prison. Kurt and Blaine managed to convince Burt and Carole to let them fly out to meet Cooper in California for a week before school started again. They needed some time away before heading to school. Blaine was going to be starting at McKinley senior year and after the trial it was going to be a hard transition.
They landed at LAX and got their luggage. They walked outside to find Cooper standing next to a cab. “Let's go boys.” He said to them.
Kurt and Blaine put their bags into the trunk and the three of them got into the backseat. “It is so beautiful here.” Kurt said staring out his window taking photos with his iPhone.
“What do you want to do first?” Cooper asked them. “Hollywood Boulevard? Disneyland? The Hollywood Sign?” He kept shooting out suggestions.
“The beach.” Blaine said looking at Kurt.
“You come all the way to California and you want to go to the beach?” Cooper asked.
“Yes.” Blaine said.
“What's on your mind, Anderson?” Kurt asked noticing the way Blaine was smiling at him.
Blaine leaned in closer to Kurt's ear. “You on the beach.”
Kurt laughed.“Alright I'll take you guys to the beach.” Cooper said. “Let's just drop your stuff off at my apartment.”
They quickly got set up in Cooper's apartment. They had the pull out couch to themselves. Blaine was slightly disappointed because it made a lot of noise and that meant he was not going to be having sex on it. They threw their clothes into a small chest near the window that looked over the city. “This is amazing.” Kurt said.
“It's not New York, but it'll do.” Blaine said kissing the back of Kurt's neck. “Come on, put your suit on. I want to feel that California sun.” Blaine said tossing Kurt his swim trunks.
“Alright.” Kurt said going into the bathroom to change.
Cooper came out of his bedroom. “How's it been, Squirt?”
“Fine. So much better after the trial. I feel like I have my life back.” Blaine told him.
“You and Kurt are still going strong, I see.” Cooper smiled sitting down on the couch.
“Living together isn't without its problems. But we're getting through everything like adults.” Blaine said sitting down next to his brother.
“You guys are good together. I'm happy you've found someone like him.” Cooper told him.
“He's something else. I never expected to ever see him again after he moved.” Blaine said looking towards the bathroom. “And after we reconnected I didn't think I'd fall in love with him.” He paused thinking about everything the two of them had been through that year. “I want to be there with him through everything that life throws at us. I want to be there forever.”
“I'm sure you will. I'm so happy for you, Blaine.” As soon as Cooper said that Kurt came walking out of the bathroom. “My turn.” Cooper said jumping up and heading towards the bathroom.
Kurt sat down next to Blaine. He leaned over and kiss Blaine with more meaning and love than he ever had before.
“What was that for?” Blaine asked.
“That door isn't sound proof.” Kurt said with a smile.
“This pull out couch is not gonna work.” Blaine said.
“We've been here for like two hours and you're already concerned about this?” Kurt asked laughing. “Why don't we not worry about it and just enjoy the beach.”
“Alright.” Blaine said. After a moment of silence Blaine spoke again. “Maybe Coop has an audition or something in the next two weeks and we'll be left alone.” He said wishfully.
“Stop.” Kurt said. “This trip isn't about us being able to have sex all the time.”
“I know.” Blaine said kissing Kurt.
“Let's go you two.” Cooper said stepping out of the bathroom.
The three of them left the apartment building and started to walk to the bus stop that would take them to the beach.
When they finally got there Cooper was surprised at how empty it was. They were able to find a spot and set up their things before Cooper ditched the boys for a pretty girl.
“Make good choices!” Blaine yelled after his brother. Cooper, in return, gave Blaine the finger. “Such a loving big brother.” Blaine laughed turning back to Kurt. “It's like a 100 degrees out here Kurt. Take off your shirt. Get some sun on that beautiful body of yours.”
“I will burn.”
“Sun block.”
“You just don't want me in my shirt.” Kurt said sitting down on the towels they had brought with them.
“You caught me.” Blaine pulling at one of Kurt's arms. “Come on let's go in the water.” He said pulling Kurt to his feet. “No shirts allowed.” He said tugging at the hem of Kurt's t-shirt.
“Do you think you can handle putting sun block on my back?” Kurt asked him swatting away Blaine's hands.
“I can control myself.” Blaine said watching Kurt's take off his shirt. He stared for a second looking at his abdomen. Kurt handed him the bottle of sun block and turned around so Blaine could rub it on his back. Blaine slowly started to rub in the sun block. He knew that the slower he did it the more turned on he was going to get and the more impatient Kurt was going to get. But he didn't care he just wanted to feel Kurt's bare body.
“Blaine, come on.” Kurt said noticing how long it was taking him to rub in the sun block.
“Sorry.” Blaine quickly finished Kurt's back and they walked down to the water.
Kurt didn't want to go under completely while Blaine was trying to see how far out he could get. Kurt had gotten out far enough so the water was up to his chest. Blaine came swimming over and stood up in front of him. “Come on.”
“Not a chance.” Kurt said. As soon as he felt Blaine's hand around his waist he knew he was getting dunked into the water and there was no way to stop it.
Blaine pulled his boyfriend close to his body and quickly fell backwards making both of them go under water. Blaine immediately let go of Kurt and let him surface. When he saw Blaine come up a few feet away he gave him a dirty look. “Blaine Devon Anderson.”
“We're using the middle name are we?” Blaine laughed as he watched Kurt swim over to him. “Am I in trouble?”
“Yes.”
“I can think of about 10 different things to say here and each of them you'll get mad at.” Blaine said smiling.
Once Kurt reached him he immediately pushed him under the water. Blaine got up and quickly grabbed Kurt pulling him in to kiss him. “You are so lucky I love you so much.” Kurt told him once Blaine pulled away.
“If you didn't would you have punished me?” Blaine said.
“You are horrible.” Kurt said breaking free of Blaine's hold on him.
“Kurt!” Blaine called after him. “Come back. I'm lost without you!” He shouted. Kurt only laughed. He turned around and saw Blaine looking around like he had actually gotten lost. “Kurt! I'm thinking ice cream!” Blaine shouted towards him.
“Then come on.” Kurt shouted back at him.
They both slowly walked up to the shore and went in search for an ice cream bar. Once they reached the stand Blaine became overwhelmed by the number of options that he had to choose from. “Just pick one.” Kurt told him impatiently.
“There are so many, Kurt.” Blaine said looking through the list one more time.
“He'll take the rocky road and I'll have vanilla.” Kurt said knowing that after Blaine looked over the menu seven more times he was just going to choose the rocky road like always.
“You ordered for me?”
“You're predictable.” Kurt said playfully pushing Blaine. The person working gave the boys their ice cream while Blaine paid.“How sweet; buying me ice cream.” Kurt said taking a small bite. “You're such a gentleman.” He quickly kissed Blaine on the cheek. “Give me a bite.”
“No. Get your own.” Blaine said moving his small styrofoam bowl away from Kurt. “You wanted the vanilla. That's what you get to eat.” Blaine told him.
“But I got you the rocky road so I could have just a couple of bites.” Kurt said reaching around Blaine's body for the bowl.
“Really? I should have known.” Blaine laughed scooping up a little of his ice cream and sticking the spoon in Kurt's mouth. “Satisfied?”
“Yes. Thank you.” Kurt said smiling and laughing at Blaine feeding him in public.
“I love being able to actually act like we're together in public without thinking about what someone might do.” Blaine said giving Kurt another bite of his ice cream.
“I'm good now. But I know what you mean. We would have been getting the dirtiest looks if we were back in Ohio.” Kurt said taking a few bites of his own ice cream. “Being able to be open is so refreshing.” He said dipping his spoon into Blaine's bowl.
“Why didn't you just get rocky road?”
“Because I knew you'd share with me.” Kurt laughed.
Blaine smiled watching Kurt slowly eat both of their ice creams. “What do you want to do tomorrow?” Blaine asked him.
“Either Hollywood or Disneyland.” Kurt smiled at him.
“Disneyland. That sounds like a ton of fun.” Blaine said. “Let's do that.”
“Alright.”
“Stop.” Blaine said sharply.
“What is it? Is there something in my hair?” Kurt said starting to fuss with his wet hair.
“No. No your hair is perfect, as always. The light is just so perfect right here. Set your bowl down I want a picture of you.” Blaine said pulling out his iPhone and taking a few pictures of Kurt. “You are truly the most handsome man on this beach. Look at this.” He said showing Kurt the photos he had just taken.
“I don't know. My boyfriend is pretty good looking himself. Come here.” Kurt said pulling him closer and snapping a couple of pictures of the two of them. “New profile picture.” He quickly changed his profile and cover photo on Facebook before they started walking again.
That night Blaine pulled out the pull out couch and started to make the bed so they could sleep. As soon as Blaine sat down it made a loud screeching noise.
“That's a warning that you two are getting busy out here. So I don't come out of my room.” Cooper laughed after seeing Blaine's face.
“Because we're gonna be doing that in this bed.” Blaine scoffed. Kurt just rolled his eyes at his boyfriend and his brother's conversation.
“Do what you want. You're both adults.” Cooper said. “Just try to be quiet. Goodnight.” Cooper said and walked into his room.
Blaine looked over at Kurt. “Not gonna happen.” Kurt said seeing Blaine's face.
Blaine crawled over to the other side of the bed and took hold of Kurt's waist. “Come one, baby.” Blaine said as he rubbed up and down Kurt's sides. “It's been…” He kissed his lips. “so…” He kissed his cheek. “long, baby.” He started sucking at his neck.
“Blaine…” Kurt trailed off. “B.” He stepped backwards making Blaine chase him. “This bed is far too loud for me to be comfortable in your brother's apartment.”
Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand and pulled him back over to the bed. “Come on.” He said pulling Kurt down to the bed with a loud screech of the frame. “I need you, Kurt.”
“Hold on.” Kurt said standing up from the bed. He went and grabbed a few blankets and put them on the bed. He adjusted the blankets and crawled in underneath them next to Blaine.
“Kurt?” Blaine asked wondering what he was doing.
“Hold on.” He said again. He curled up next to him.
“This is what I'm getting? I was almost expecting sex.” Blaine said sounding very disappointed.
Kurt moved his leg across Blaine's slowly sliding himself on top of Blaine. Suddenly Kurt connected their mouths and let his tongue quickly invade Blaine's mouth. Kurt's hands linked around Blaine's neck as Blaine's started rubbing Kurt's back trying to get him closer than he already was. Kurt let out a very loud moan when he felt Blaine's hard cock on his own. Kurt started to rock gently creating friction between them. “Kurt.” Blaine let out once Kurt went to gnaw at his neck.
“Shhhh.” Kurt hushed his noisy boyfriend.
“You're the one moaning.” Blaine said trying to gasp for air. After only a second of them being disconnected Blaine reached up to kiss him again. Kurt put a little more pressure on Blaine's cock causing his hips to buck up and crash into Kurt again. “Ohmygod, Kurt.” Blaine almost screamed.Kurt quickly got off of Blaine and laid next to him. “What are you doing?” Blaine asked breathing heavily.
“If you're not gonna be quiet I'm not gonna do anything.” Kurt said tracing circles into his chest. “Do you promise to keep your mouth shut?”
“I don't know.” Blaine said trying to pull Kurt back on top of him.
“Blaine, come on. You were able to stay quiet when we were at the house.”
“That was different.” Blaine stated.
“How?” Kurt laughed.
“If your dad found out what we were doing in your room I would have been killed. Cooper doesn't give a damn.” Blaine said rolling on top of Kurt. Kurt gasped at the sudden friction of their cocks rubbing together. “You and I both know that if we keep up this song and dance you are gonna give in and I'm gonna make you feel really good.” Blaine said leaning down and sucking on Kurt's neck.
Kurt's eyes rolled into the back of his head making him unable to form a complete thought while Blaine's tongue swirled around his neck and his dick felt really nice against Kurt's. Blaine felt Kurt try to spread is legs underneath him and that told him that Kurt was very close to allowing him to fuck him that night. Blaine sank in between Kurt's legs and started to slide his pajama pants off. Kurt's hands had made it into Blaine's pants and clutching his ass in both hands. Blaine got off of Kurt and quickly took both of their pants from their bodies.
Blaine fell back down on top of Kurt and let their bare cocks rub against each other. Blaine reached for his bag to get the condom when they heard a creaking coming from Cooper's room. Blaine looked in that direction and saw Cooper standing at the bathroom door with a large smile on his face. “EVERY FUCKING TIME!” Blaine yelled. Kurt just laughed at Blaine's frustration. “Cooper, get the hell out.”
“I have to pee, Blainey.” Cooper replied and walked into the bathroom.
“Now both of our brothers have interrupted and killed the mood.” Kurt laughed.
“This is not a laughing matter, Kurt. It has been weeks. WEEKS!” Blaine almost yelled.
“Not to make you even angrier. It's been over a month.” Kurt interjected.
“You just made this worse.” Blaine told him.
They heard the toilet flush and Cooper walked back into the living room. “Proceed with you stuff.” He said and walked into his room.
“So are you gonna finish or mope on that side of the bed?” Kurt asked Blaine.
Blaine had propped himself up hovering over Kurt and thought for a moment before his lips crashed into Kurt's. Kurt laughed into the kiss and held Blaine tighter; clawing at his back leaving scratches.
The next morning Blaine was lying on top of Kurt holding his torso. The blanket was only covering their areas when Cooper walked out of his bedroom. Cooper went and got a couple of pans from his kitchen and started banging them together causing the sleeping teens to wake up. “At least cover yourselves better next time.” He said.
Blaine immediately took the blanket off of them. “We have our underwear on.” He told his brother.
“Did you really need to take the blanket completely off of us?” Kurt asked pulling it back on. Kurt leaned closer to Blaine. “I'll make us some breakfast before Disney.” He said.
“Disneyland today?” Cooper asked them.
“Yeah.” Kurt said pulling his pajama bottoms up and walking to the kitchen.
Blaine hopped out off the bed and walked passed Cooper very smug. He took a quick shower as Cooper stood in the living room watching Kurt cook.
“Would you like some breakfast too, Cooper?” He asked when he noticed the man staring at him.
“As long as you're cooking.” He chuckled. “So, how's life?”
“Awkward.” Kurt laughed. Cooper joined in his laughter.
“I get that.” He told the teen. “But Blaine isn't lying to me when he says everything back in Ohio is fine, is he?” Cooper asked.
“Not entirely. There are still things that are being worked on and stuff going on.” Kurt explained cracking the eggs into the bowl. “He's still having some trouble sleeping. He's been getting some backlash after the over televised trial. People are just all over him. He's finding it hard to adjust.”
“People were all over him when he was a kid.” Cooper said slightly confused.
“I have a feeling that it's just different. When he was a kid people were all over him because he lit up the Broadway stage. Now it's because his dad tried to kill him and actually killed two people.” Kurt explained. “What's going on with him is completely understandable.”
“What about you? I know that night wasn't easy for you either. Or the trial.” Cooper asked sincerely.
Kurt looked at him. “I'm fine. You know I've put up with a lot. I'm bullied at school and now this. I've put up a wall.” He told Cooper. “And somehow Blaine tore it down.”
“I want what you two have.” Cooper said like a 12 year-old girl. “You talk about each other in the most incredible way.”
“There's just something about him.” Kurt said dreamily.
“Something about who?” Blaine asked walking out of the bathroom.
“This guy I met a few days ago.” Kurt laughed.
“Really?” Blaine said placing his hands on Kurt's hips from behind.
“Yeah. You wouldn't like him though. His bow-tie collection is out of control. Oh wait…” Kurt trailed off.
“Funny.” Blaine said and kissed Kurt on the cheek.
“It was cute for a while. Now it's just gross and irritating.” Cooper said.
“Does someone need a hug?” Blaine asked stepping away from Kurt and walking towards his brother.
“No, just get out and go to Disney.” Cooper said leaving the room.
“Breakfast is done.” Kurt called.
Cooper quickly walked back into the room. “I'll be eating this in my bedroom.” He took the plate Kurt had just made and walked away with purpose.
“Thank you for breakfast, babe.” Blaine said and kissed Kurt taking the plate to the bed.
Blaine sat on the edge of the bed eating when Kurt crawled in and held him from behind. Kurt's chin was resting on Blaine's shoulder. He would place a light kiss on his earlobe every few seconds. “I'm eating. Not in the mood.”
“Not what I was going for.” Kurt said taking a piece of bacon from Blaine's plate. Blaine gave him a dirty look. “You know I put extra on your plate so I can eat off of it.” Kurt laughed.
“I know.” Blaine said giving him a bite of his eggs.
“I'm gonna shower.” Kurt stood up and went to take his shower. Blaine put the room back together and folded the bed back into the couch. Kurt took a quick shower and fixed his hair. He walked out of the bathroom to see Blaine had cleaned up. “Look at you.” He laughed. Blaine turned around with a large smile on his face. “You ready?”
“Let's go.” Blaine picked up his bag of stuff for the trip and they started out of the apartment. “We're leaving, Coop. See you later.”
“Bye!” Cooper yelled from inside his bedroom. The trip to Anaheim was longer than they had wanted it to be, but they didn't care. They quickly got into the park and started walking around.
“What first?” Blaine asked. “We could see that castle or—“
“I don't care. We could just walk around all day.”
“We'll play it by ear.” Blaine said taking Kurt's hand and walking towards the center of the park. “I feel like we need to seek out all of the characters and get pictures with them.” Blaine told him.
“Definitely.” Kurt agreed. As soon as they said that they saw Mickey Mouse talking to a couple of children.
Blaine quickly got out his iPhone to take a picture of Mickey and Kurt. After the children had run off Kurt and Blaine walked over to Mickey Mouse and asked for a photo. Kurt wrapped his arm around Mickey and Blaine took the picture. “Excuse me, sir.” Blaine asked one of the workers. “Can you take our picture?” He asked. The man nodded and took Blaine's phone. He took the photo of the three of them. “Thank you so much.” Blaine thanked the man and retrieved his phone. Mickey turned and gave Kurt a hug saying ‘goodbye'. Mickey walked away waving at the boys. “I say we hit Space Mountain!” Blaine almost cheered.
“Alright.” Kurt laughed. They hurried to Space Mountain hoping there wasn't a long line.
They spent the entire day trying to meet all of the Disney characters and taking pictures. Blaine was taking pictures of Kurt all day without him knowing. They bought a couple copies of pictures taken on rides because of the faces they were making. Blaine kept trying to win at the booths even though Kurt told him they were rigged every time. He never won anything, but we bought Kurt a couple of things from the gifts shops.
They were able to meet the characters they wanted to. They met all of the Princesses and Pinocchio. Blaine made the observation that Kurt sort of looked like an older version of the puppet. By the time they were ready to head back to Cooper's apartment; Kurt at four new stuffed animals and Blaine was on such a Disney high that he never wanted to leave. “Stop!” Blaine yelled as they were walking out of the gate.
“What? That really freaked me out.” Kurt said after being scared by Blaine's sudden burst.
“We need a pic with the statue.” Blaine said pulling Kurt behind him. They ran over to the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. Kurt wrapped his arms around Blaine from behind and rested his chin on Blaine's shoulder. Blaine quickly took the picture with his phone. “One more.” He said turning to face Kurt. Before Kurt could object to the picture Blaine kissed him and snapped the shot.
Kurt pulled away. “You know I hate that.”
“I couldn't help myself.” Blaine said kissing him again.
“Come on. It's gonna be almost midnight before we get back to Cooper's.” Kurt said to Blaine.
“I guess.” Blaine said taking Kurt's hand. “I love being able to just hold your hand without people giving us dirty looks.” Blaine told him.
Kurt leaned over and kissed his happy boyfriend. “I love it too.” He said pulling away.
“And kissing you. I love just kissing you whenever I want to.” Blaine said kissing him again.
“Stop it.” Kurt said blushing slightly. “Let's just get back to Cooper's I'm exhausted.”
“I'll get a cab.” Blaine quickly called for a cab and they waited just outside the park. Even though it was late August and California Kurt felt it was getting a little chilly outside so Blaine was wrapped tightly around him trying to keep him warmer.
Once the cab got there they both slid into the backseat. Blaine gave the driver Cooper's address and they relaxed in the back. Kurt laid his head down on Blaine's lap and fell asleep almost immediately. Blaine looked down at him. He looked so peaceful and happy. There was a slight smile on his face. Blaine wanted to curl up next to him and just stay there forever. Nothing could ruin this trip. Nothing.
He simply watched him sleep. ‘You are the luckiest guy in the entire world, Blaine Anderson.' He thought to himself. ‘This man has been through everything with you and never once thought about backing away. He gave you everything he had. His trust. His love. Everything. He's put up with you and still loves you. Never let him go.' Blaine started to run his fingers through Kurt's hair. ‘He's just perfect. There is no other word to describe the man you are with. Perfect. I want to be with him for the rest of my life. I need to be with him for the rest of my life. He's the only person who has ever taken the time to know me. And I love him more than I ever thought I could love someone.'
They finally pulled up outside of Cooper's apartment building. “Kurt, honey. Wake up.” Blaine said gently shaking Kurt awake. “We're back.”
Kurt sat up in the cab and looked around to get his bearings. Blaine paid the driver and they slowly walked up to Cooper's door. “Thank you for this amazing day. I love you.” Kurt said kissing Blaine on the cheek.
“I love you too. But you're about to fall asleep right here. Let's get inside.” Blaine knocked on the door. “I should have gotten a key. Cooper! Open up!”
Cooper opened the door for them. “You're late.”
“Did we have a curfew?” Blaine asked walking in followed by Kurt.
“No, it's just really late.” Cooper said again. “I was starting to get a little worried about the two of you.”
“We're fine. Just tired.” Blaine said setting their things on the floor and pulling the pull out couch out. Cooper went back into his room and the boys just changed into their pajamas in the living room. “Today was so amazing.” Blaine said crawling into the bed. Kurt started to crawl in next to him. “No moisturizing routine tonight?” He asked.
“I'm just too tired to even try.” Kurt said curling up next to Blaine. “I just want to sleep.” Kurt rested his head on Blaine's chest and drifted off to sleep.
“Perfect.” Blaine whispered before letting sleep take over.
The next day the boys decided it was far too hot to leave the apartment and spent the entire day cuddled up on the couch in the air conditioning watching movies.
“Squirt, I have an audition so I'm leaving for a couple of hours. Don't do anything stupid.” Cooper told the boys.
“Break a leg.” Blaine said to his brother.
Blaine listened carefully to hear when the door slammed shut and Cooper locked it. He started rubbing Kurt's upper body gently sliding his shirt up revealing his perfect skin. “What are you trying to do, Anderson?” Kurt asked looking up at Blaine.
“If you have to ask that question I'm afraid I'm doing it wrong.” Blaine joked.
“I kind of just want to relax and watch movies.” Kurt told him.
Blaine immediately took his hand out from underneath Kurt's shirt and rested it on his chest. “Alright.” He said. “I'm so happy he has Netflix. What next?”
“I actually have a DVD.” Kurt said standing up and digging through his backpack. He popped the movie into the player and sat back on the couch with Blaine.
“What is it?” Blaine asked pulling Kurt closer to him.
“Just wait.” Kurt said just as the opening credits to Moulin Rouge came on.
“Our movie.” Blaine smiled and kissed Kurt on the cheek. “My favorite.”
“Mine too.” Kurt said settling down in between Blaine's legs a little more.
“Have I ever told you I love you?” Blaine said him.
“Once or twice. But I will never get tired of hearing it.” Kurt said.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.” Kurt turned his head so he could kiss Blaine.
Cooper came home and saw the boys cuddled together on the couch sleeping. He just smiled at his little brother and Kurt. He loved finally seeing Blaine completely happy.
The rest of the trip was very low key. They would stay at the apartment and watch movies or go to the beach.
Kurt didn't know it, but Blaine had something very special to surprise him with before they left for Ohio. Blaine had ordered a promise rings from a jeweler at the beginning of the trip. While Kurt was in the bathroom at a restaurant near the jeweler Blaine ran out and picked up the ring.
Blaine did a quick inspection making sure it was perfect. Just a silver band with ‘I Promise You Forever' engraved on the inside. He was so excited about his gift for Kurt he ran back to the restaurant hoping Kurt hadn't walked out of the bathroom yet. He slid back into his chair just before Kurt walked back out.
“Why are you out of breath?” Kurt asked him noticing he was acting different than when he had left.
“What? Uh, nothing.” Blaine answered. “You ready? I already paid the check.”
“You need to stop doing that.”
“Not a chance.” Blaine said offering his hand for Kurt to hold as they walked out of the building.
“Our last day here. What's the plan?” Kurt asked they slowly walked down the street hand in hand.
“Picnic by the ocean.” Blaine said smugly. “Cooper has it all set up.”
“We just ate.”
“I never said we had to eat right now.” Blaine laughed. “It's just set up. We're going to the beach. A private area of the beach. So it's just us.” Blaine said.
“You are just full of surprises aren't you?” Kurt smiled at him.
They got to the secluded part of the beach north of Los Angeles and Kurt saw what had been done. There was a blanket stretched out over the sand. A large basket that was over flowing with dinner and tea candles let all around. “I'm dating the most romantic man in the world.” Kurt almost jumped on Blaine hugging him as tightly as he could. “I love you so much.” He mumbled into Blaine's ear.
“I love you too.” They spent the rest of the night in the water. Blaine didn't dare dunk Kurt in the water again knowing he would get angry.
It was beginning to get dark and the boys were wrapped up in each other's arms on the blanket. Blaine was staring at the stars while Kurt was breathing in Blaine's scent not wanting the trip to end. “There is one more thing.” Blaine said breaking the comfortable silence.
“What do you mean?” Kurt said not moving his head.
“One more surprise.” Blaine explained.
“You've been so wonderful while we've been here. I don't know if I can handle another surprise, Blaine.” Kurt told him as he started tracing hearts on his chest.
Blaine reached for his jeans pocket, where he had stored the ring, without moving too much to disturb Kurt's position on top of him. Blaine finally got the box out of his pants and set it on his chest in the way of Kurt's finger.
“What on earth is this?” Kurt asked his heart rate speeding up. “Blaine, we're—“
“Calm down.” Blaine laughed. “We're sixteen, I know. This isn't that.” Blaine told him. “I wish it was, but it's not. Just open it.”
Kurt sat up slowly followed by Blaine. He inspected the box thoroughly before slowly opening it. “Blaine.” Kurt was at a loss for words.
“It's a promise ring. A promise to stand by you no matter what happens. Just like you did for me. A promise to love you unconditionally for the rest of my life. And probably longer. I just want to make you happier than you thought you ever could be.” Blaine told him.
“I-I-I-I-I love it.” Kurt said taking the ring out of the box. Just before he started sliding it on his finger he noticed the engraving on the inside of the band. Kurt couldn't even form a complete thought looking at this. He just put the ring back and quickly kissed Blaine with more meaning and passion that he ever had before.
“Let me.” Blaine said taking the box from Kurt. Blaine slowly slid the band on Kurt's right ring finger and kissed it. “I promise you forever, Kurt.”
Without any words Kurt had pushed Blaine to the ground and kissed him. “I love you so much, Blaine. I wish there were more words. I want forever with you. You are the most amazing and perfect and strongest man I've met.” Kurt said. “I'm holding you to this promise.” Kurt smiled.
“I'd expect nothing less.” Blaine said kissing him again.
“We're gonna be okay?” Kurt asked rolling off of Blaine. “With everything that has happened this last year. Us living together now?”
“We'll be okay. I'll be okay. We'll be amazing. I'm never letting you get away.” Blaine told him taking both of his hands. “You and I are forever; no matter what.” Blaine smiled at Kurt.
They both knew that nothing could break them apart. They knew that somehow they were brought together after eight years just so they could be together. They're were gonna be okay.
