Hey everyone, new chapter today. Sorry I didnt upload yesterday. I have to study for my exams and its crazy how much I have to know. I hope you like this one though. I wanted it to be a little like a real party but also the past into it and Blaine growing closer to Kurt. The next chapter will hold the last day of the party and probably a few school days. Hope you like it! Let me know. Lots of love
It was Friday. Kurt was walking out of his last class. The past few days had been alright. He had spent a lot of time with Blaine. He had a lot of catching up work to do, but Blaine had thankfully helped him with most of it. Tonight their sleepover would take place. Kurt had had a lot of sleepovers with his girls, but he knew these would be different. He was kind of nervous for it. What if the warblers didn't like him? Ofcourse they had seen him in the week and a few had tried to talk to him like Jeff but they barely knew a thing about him. Kurt walked towards his room. He opened the door carefully but Blaine wasn't there. Kurt took his bag and pulled in his pyjama's, pillow and blanket. When everything was in his bag, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He smiled up at Blaine. Blaine held his hand out for Kurt to hold. Kurt noticed that his bag was already ready. They walked through the hallways. Some of the warblers joined them on the way to the living room. Some of them were already inside. Sofas were pulled aside of the room and their stood a table with candy, snacks and soda cans. Kurt let go of Blaine's hand and went to help a warbler with the last sofa. The boy looked up and smiled thankfully. Kurt just nodded his head. When the sofa stood aside, he sat down with his bag and just looked around. A lot of warblers were walking into the room now. Some went to take a can of soda, others went to talk with someone they knew. After a while of sitting alone, Kurt wanted to get out for a bit. He started to walk to the door when he felt a hand in his. He looked up to see it was Blaine. Blaine smiled brightly and they walked a bit around the school. Kurt sometimes wondered how Blaine could understand all of it so easily without asking questions. It was nice. After a while they went back inside to see the party at full swing. Everyone was dancing around and laughing. Kurt smiled and walked with Blaine towards the box. He lay his hand on it to feel the beat flow through his body. He closed his eyes and just felt. He didn't notice how some of the warblers were looking at him now. Kurt loved to feel the rhythm. It made him forget for a little while about everything. Kurt felt someone squeeze his hand when he remembered he was still holding Blaine's. He looked up to see Blaine watching him curiously. Blaine took his hand and a paper. What are you doing? Kurt chuckled and took a hold of Blaine's paper and pen. I feel the beat. It's how I listen to music. It's calming. Blaine smiled widely now and took again a hold of Kurt's hand. His other hand, he placed on the box. Kurt was laughing now. It was funny that Blaine wanted to give it a try. Blaine looked op with a big smile before looking after him. Kurt noticed that all eyes were on him. He felt a bit uneasy now. Blaine grinned and talked to another warbler. Then he took the paper again and started to write. What would you think about a little question game so we all can get to know you a little better? Kurt looked around the room to see hopeful smiles. He just shrugged and took his own notebook and pen. They all sat down in a circle. Kurt noticed how everyone was holding a notebook and pen. He chuckled a little, it was nice and they thought this probably through. As first he was introduced to everyone. All of them wrote their name on a paper. Kurt just smiled and said all hi to them back with a small wave. When everyone had introduced himself they to ask Kurt a few questions. They wanted to know where he was from, what his dad did for living, if he had any siblings, what he thought of music and so on. He answered on every questions until Blaine tapped his shoulder and held up a paper. You talk sign language? Kurt just laughed. Of course I do, how do you expect me to communicate with my family? We would use way too many paper. He saw everyone chuckling. Learn me? Kurt looked up as if he was kidding but his puppy eyes said enough. We can try but it isn't easy. I'll show you another day ok? Blaine smiled widely and nodded. It was getting late and they decided to watch a movie. Thankfully they didn't forget to place on the subtitles. Kurt sat next to Blaine, all cuddled up in his side. Blaine looked down halfway the movie to see Kurt fast asleep. He asked Jeff if he could give Kurt's bag. Blaine wrapped the blanket around Kurt and watched the movie further, every once in a while looking down at sleeping Kurt. Yeah, this sleepover was a good idea.
Kurt woke up early. He back was hurting from the position he was lying it but it felt warm. He opened his eyes to see all warblers fast asleep. Some were lying on the ground, some on the sofa's. It was that moment he realised he wasn't alone in the sofa. He looked up to see Blaine asleep. Kurt slowly tried to get out of Blaine's hug but it was nearly impossible. He just sighed and tickled Blaine's side. Something he had learned the last time they had fallen asleep during a movie. Blaine tried to get in his sleep and let go of Kurt. Kurt just chuckled. It was funny to see. He decided to go upstairs, take a shower and get dressed properly. It would be the first time that the warblers would really see him in his clothes and he was a little hesitant. Maybe he should just wear a hoody and some sweatpants? But he missed his skinny jeans a lot. He was in his dilemma between the clothes as he still could see the words leaving Karofsky's lips. “You are teasing me every day with those skinny jeans and while shaking your hips. We should end this for all don't we? You shouldn't have the right to show your gay all day around these hallways. Yeah let's end this.” It were the last words before he got once again dumped into a dumpster. Kurt shook himself out of his thought. They wouldn't do such thing. Kurt picked out a pair of black skinny jeans with a white button up. It looked nice but simple and that's what he was going for. He decided to wear his black boots with it. A last turn around before the mirror told him he looked good. He made his way downstairs to see most of the boys still asleep. Maybe they were even worse than Finn who would try and sleep the whole weekend. Kurt walked to the kitchen to find it empty. He decided to make some breakfast for all of them. The fridge was stocked and renewed every weekend with new stuff so they could cook if they wanted to. Kurt decided to make some pancakes and coffee. After a while he felt like someone was watching him. In panic he turned around and back up a little. He looked up in two hazel eyes who were confused. Without a word he pulled Kurt in a tight hug. Jeff who had come along worked further on the pancakes. Kurt really looked scared when he had turned around and they both were worried. When Kurt stopped shaking, Blaine took his hand and let him towards the table. He sat down and pulled Kurt on his lap. He took the notebook and started to write. You ok? I didn't mean to scare you. Kurt just nodded, still a bit away in his thought. Blaine decided to just hold him a little longer. Kurt would open up after a while. A few minutes passed and other warblers came inside the kitchen, some looking confused as way Kurt was sitting on Blaine's lap. Blaine just shook his head slightly. All the boys thought Blaine had a crush on Kurt but no one knew for sure. When all the warblers were inside, Kurt took a seat of his own. Blaine got them each a plate with a few pancakes and a cup of coffee. They ate in silence. Well Kurt ate in silence. He saw a few boys talking but didn't feel like really trying to follow what they said. He still felt a little shaken up from what happened a few minutes ago. He hadn't meant to get like that but after so many months of getting through all the torture he couldn't get rid of it. Blaine's hand found Kurt's and gave it a small squeeze. At least he hadn't scared Blaine away. That was something. He decided he would tell Blaine about his past, just not during the sleepover because those should be fun.
After breakfast, they decided to play videogames. Kurt hated those but was pretty good after learning a few games from Finn. Blaine gave Kurt a remote after a few boys played and looked with puppy eyes. Those were irresistible. Kurt sat down on the sofa next to Blaine. At the end of the game, Kurt won and looked up at Blaine with the biggest smile he probably had worn in a while. Blaine just pouted sadly. He took a paper and wrote him a message. I'll win next time Kurt. I want a reround. Kurt just chuckled. They played videogames the whole afternoon before they decided to play some party games. Blaine looked up to see Blaine hold a paper with all smileys and in the middle Truth or dare we are going to play! You better play with us. Kurt chuckled and sat in the group. David was the first to choose. He choose a dare. The boys grinned and wrote down the dare for David so Kurt could follow. David had to run into the school hallway naked. All the boys laughed when he ran down the hall. Some were filming others were taking pictures. Next up was Wes. Wes also choose a dare. Wes had to give in his gavel for the weekend. He pouted slightly when he handed it over to David. David just grinned and placed it in his bag. Next up was Blaine. Blaine hesitated but went for a truth. Wes grinned and started to write a question on the paper. Tell me if you have a crush and who it is. Blaine was blushing now. Kurt noticed how he said something like, those or two questions but all boys looked too eager to know. Blaine just nodded to the first questions but didn't said a name. The warblers just chuckled that they would get him so easily embarrassed. Kurt was next up. After a little hesitation he wrote dare on the paper. The boys grinned and Kurt knew he would regret it. What had he been thinking. We dare you to switch clothes with Blaine. Kurt looked up at Blaine who was now as red as his face probably was. Blaine looked at Kurt with a look that said, you don't have to If you don't want to. Kurt just stood up and held out his hand for Blaine. Kurt and Blaine switched shirts easily but then there were the pants. That was just impossible. Kurt was way skinnier and Blaine was more muscular. He would kill those jeans and they looked way to expensive. They came out of the room still wearing their jeans explaining and most warblers seemed to understand. Kurt and Blaine sat down in the group again still wearing each other's shirt. They played a little longer before they decided to play “Never have I ever”. Kurt had never played it with his friends but he knew how it worked. A boy named Thad started. He took a paper to write it down for Kurt. Never have I ever not kissed someone. Kurt noticed how a few boys removed one of their shoes. He saw Blaine do the same. A few people liked at Kurt like they expected him to remove a piece too. Kurt sighed and took a paper. He started to write. I had a girlfriend in high school. Everyone looked shocked and he saw Blaine looked a little disappointed. A boy he thought was Nick held up another paper. You are straight? Kurt chuckled and started to write. No I'm gay. It was just a phase I guess. He blushed a little but saw some of them chuckling and looking at Blaine. He watched Blaine who was now blushing but looking happier again, a little relieved even. Kurt just shook his head and laughed with the boys. It was up to Nick. Never have I ever been drunk. Kurt sighed guilty and removed one of his boots. A few boys doing the same. Everyone was again looking curious at him. He just sighed. You guys are really curious you know. I've been drunk once after a new direction party. I threw up on the councillor shoes in school. Now I never drink again. Everyone was laughing when they read the note. Some shook their heads and lips moving things like I can't believe he did that. It was David's turn. Never have I ever been in a sport team on school. Quite a few warbler removed their other shoe, a few even their shirt. Kurt saw that Blaine was shoeless now. It was up to Jeff. Jeff grinned. Never have I ever been walking in by a parent. Kurt sighed and removed Blaine's shirt now. He saw a few faces on him and some looking at Blaine who was trying his best to look to the other side. Kurt just snickered. It was Wesley's turn. Never have I ever been in love. Kurt was happy that he didn't have to remove his belt. A few warblers were almost in their boxers now. Blaine was one of the only ones who still wore his shirt. It was Blaine's turn. Blaine thought a while before writing down. Never have I ever been kissed. Kurt read the words and a memory came into his mind.
A locker into his back. It hurt so much. His whole body was hurting. He couldn't move his legs even if he tried. A big jock was leaning over him. Karofsky. He could see the words clearly falling from his lips. “This is what you get for walking around like you own this place. You're nothing Hummel, nothing. This is what you deserve. You shouldn't spray all your fairy dust everywhere. It makes me sick.” Kurt was trembling but didn't want to show his fear. And then something happened he never expected to happen. He felt a pair of lips on his. Kurt was afraid and started to kick and push Karofsky away. Karofsky seemed in shock about what he had done. With one last push against the locker, Kurt was left behind alone in the middle of the hallway, in shock and in pain.
Kurt felt someone shake his shoulder. He looked up to see Blaine looking worried at him as were a few others. He didn't notice the few tears that had spilt over. He removed them quietly and wiped them away. He took a paper and wrote a note for Blaine. I'm sorry. Got lost into a memory. You mind if I go outside for a bit? I want some fresh air. Blaine read the note and turned to the warblers to say something while pulling on his shoes. Blaine took a blanket, the notebook and a pen before he held out his hand for Kurt to take. Kurt hadn't meant to take Blaine with him outside but didn't mind really. He pulled on the shirt and his shoes before taking the hand and walking out with Blaine. They went to their bench in the garden. Kurt cuddled up against Blaine. They were quiet for a while before Blaine took the notebook and started writing. What was the memory about Kurt? Kurt just shook his head and placed his head again on Blaine's shoulder. You can talk to me you know. Before in the kitchen when you looked so scared, I think you were bullied. I've been too because I'm gay. Kurt looked up with surprised eyes. Blaine started to write a little more on the page. I've had my fair share of dumpster tosses, books being slammed out of my hands and being locked in the closet. One day I went with a friend of mine to the school dance and things escalated. I was punched with a baseball bat and left behind for dead. I've spent weeks in the hospital recovering before I came here, my safe heaven. Kurt read it silently before whipping away a tear. I'm sorry Blaine. I didn't know. Blaine just shrugged. The story still hurt but it wasn't as painful anymore. It got easier with the time. He saw Kurt hesitating before taking the notebook. In my last school I've been bullied since the first day I stepped inside. I was the favourite victim of the jocks. My friends, the new directions, had their share in slushies' but I always got the worse. Every day I had multiple slushies' thrown at me, I got tossed in the garbage, I was pushed into lockers, I got food throw at me and lockers painted in pink with words on it. I could never hear them coming after me so they could just stand behind me if I wasn't careful and do what they wanted. When you wrote your “never have I ever” it reminded me of the time the worst Jock pushed me into my lock, which was open, for being gay. I was so afraid and I read his lips to see what he was saying. Then he kissed me… Blaine sat silent next to him and was reading over his shoulder. Kurt was shaking again and crying. Blaine wrapped the blanket more over the both of them and hugged him closely. A few tears fell down Kurt's cheeks. Blaine cupped Kurt's face, brushed a few tears from his face with his thumb and talked to him. He never had done that before but he wanted to be able to look into Kurt's eyes. I'm so sorry Kurt. You should have never gone through that. That jock had no right to do that. Now you're safe though. I won't let him get near you again. Kurt was concentrating and trying to read it before he nodded silently. He held Kurt closed and hugged him a while longer before they were getting cold. Blaine took Kurt's hand and let them back inside. Before they entered the living room, Kurt stopped him. He signed something to Blaine who just looked confused. Kurt took the notebook and started to write. It's a sign that means thank you. Blaine smiled happily and let them back inside. All warblers were watching a movie and all cuddled up into the sofa's. A few looked up when they saw them coming in, mostly worried and asking if everything was ok. Kurt saw Blaine nodding and saying a few things before everyone watched the movie again. They sat down on a free sofa. It was a sleeping coach that you could pull open. He opened it and lay down on it. He patted on the space next to him so Kurt could do the same. Kurt lay down, looking at Blaine. Blaine just smiled and wrapped a blanket over them. Then he moved his arms over Kurt's waist to keep him close. Kurt just smiled. It didn't take long before the both fell asleep.
