“Are you done your application yet?” Rachel asked Kurt. They were sitting in the Lima Bean filling out the applications and looking through the school catalogue.
“Yeah,” he replied, “I’m so excited to graduate and get out of this town!”
“Me too,” Rachel agrees. “I’m trying to get Finn to come with me, although I’m not too sure what he would do in the amazing New York. Could you try to convince him to come, Kurt? Oh, which reminds me, on Friday me and Finn went to the movies, and…”
But Kurt stopped listening at “convince”. He was too busy scanning the store for the mystery boy he met two days ago. If he came in, would he talk to Kurt? Or would Kurt have to make the first move? He also wondered what he would be wearing, if he would still have the bad boy act or if that was just his mood of the day that day. He hoped it wasn’t just a mood; the leather jacket was really hot on the boy, not to mention it was just a nice jacket in general. Although, he wouldn’t mind if he wore something more revealing.
Kurt tried to not think about the attractive guy wearing fewer clothes. He couldn’t think like that; he has high morals, and he doesn’t even know his name. Today though, Kurt is at least hoping to get his name, maybe even the last one too, if the boy shows up. He’s been brainstorming a few quick comebacks to insult him with. Or to not completely have a loss of words if he says anything sexual to Kurt again. Even though the comments weren’t exactly insulting – he enjoyed them quite a lot actually – he still had no idea how to reply.
What if he did wear more revealing clothes? Would Kurt be able to focus? He was completely in his own planet now.
I bet he has abs…
He had to get his mind out of the gutter! Five seconds talking to this boy and he’s already wondering what he looks like with his shirt off.
Unfortunately, Rachel interrupted his pleasant train of thought when her seemingly endless speech finally came to a close.
“Are you even paying attention to what I’m saying?” She asked, slightly annoyed.
“Yes,” he replied blankly.
“Then what did I just say?”
“Uh…” He tried to focus. Thankfully, someone spoke behind him, saving him from having to deal with Rachel’s wrath.
“Hey sexy,” the voice said, sending shivers up Kurt’s spine. He wasn’t sure whether they were good shivers or not, but he tried to hide them from whoever was there.
Which, as expected, was the incredibly attractive boy from a few days ago. Kurt turned around and tried not to blush at those words. “Hello to you too, hobbit,” he replied, smiling inwardly at his ability to keep calm. It was a difficult task, though, especially with the boy’s outfit of the day. He was wearing a black Nirvana shirt underneath his leather jacket, along with ripped grey skinny jeans and navy blue converse.
The mystery boy pulled up a chair and took off his jacket. Instead of a shirt he was wearing a tank top, which showed off his arms. They were toned, not too muscular but still very, and made him even more attractive. Kurt wanted to know what those arms would feel like wrapped around his waist.
He blushed as he looked up and saw the boy staring at him with a huge grin on his face, noticing Kurt checking him out and obviously doing the same. Kurt hoped that the boy liked his outfit; he spent an hour prior to meeting Rachel trying to make it look great but not as if he tried too hard, and hopefully making him look hot, trying to accentuate the best aspects of his body. He was wearing a tight green mid length sleeved shirt and skinny jeans so tight they could be painted on. To say he didn’t choose this outfit just for if the boy saw him was a complete and utter lie.
Kurt met the boy’s eyes and immediately got lost in their hazel color. He wondered why someone with so much hope and light in their expression would dress like he did, but he wouldn’t dare ask, considering they only met once; he doesn’t even know the boy’s name. He continued to make eye contact, pretending not to be mesmerized, trying to seem intimidating, but the boy just kept looking right back at him, a huge grin on his face.
Rachel was still sitting there awkwardly with a surprised look on her face, trying to figure out what exactly was going on. She’s never seen this boy before, and he looks like trouble. She wondered how and why Kurt would ever associate with someone like that.
She was also silent, practically feeling the tension between those two, and surprisingly feeling like a third wheel. She couldn’t take the quiet anymore. “Hello, my name is Rachel Berry. Nice to meet you.” She held out her hand to the boy, and he took it and shook it firmly, his eyes burning into hers.
“Nice to meet you too,” he said with a low, sultry voice, and a smirk on his face. Rachel, like Kurt, was mesmerized by the hazel, and blushed when he let go of her hand. Nervously, she continued speaking.
“Who are you? I’m one of Kurt’s best friends, we both go to school together, and…”
The boy waited until she was done talking, not taking his eyes off of Kurt. Kurt, however, was shooting Rachel an annoyed look, wanting her to go away for a moment so he could have some alone time with him. Once she was done speaking, Kurt tried to explain who this boy was.
“Well, he’s –“ he started to say.
“I’m Kurt’s friend,” the boy interrupted, “with benefits.”
“You are most certainly not!”
“Not yet, but don’t worry hun, I will be,” he said matter-of-factly to Kurt, winking at him.
Rachel’s completely baffled expression would be funny if they weren’t in this situation. And although Kurt was trying to act cool, that’s exactly how he felt as well; surprised and slightly giddy.
“Well,” Rachel started, ”I need another coffee. Kurt,” Kurt snapped out of his daze, looking at her, “do you want another coffee?”
“Yeah.”
“Non-fat mocha?”
“Yes please!” Once Rachel left, Kurt just keeps staring at her walking away, preparing himself for the confrontation he’s about to have with the no named boy. Once he talks himself into it, he looks back at the stranger, and tries to keep a serious expression.
“And why are you here?” He asks, trying to read the boy’s face.
“I want my seat.” The boy says, blankly staring at Kurt.
Kurt’s expression saddens a bit. Maybe he was just making fun of him. “Although I don’t quite know your name, I’m sure you aren’t Sméagol.”
“Who?”
“Sméagol,” Kurt says, raising an eyebrow. How has he never watched Lord of the Rings? “You know, ‘my precious’. It’s basically how you are with this seat.”
The boy looks at Kurt, who seems put down by the situation. He thought that Kurt knew why he actually wanted to sit here. How can it be any more obvious? “I personally think that you’re more precious. I’d like to get my hands on you.”
Kurt was almost getting used to the boy hitting on him. He almost liked it, too. The boy saw Kurt’s eyes light up at that comment, although he was trying to keep his facial expression more annoyed.
“How… flattering,” Kurt retorted, although mostly serious.
“Well you’re really fucking hot, what can I say?”
Once again, Kurt’s reaction was surprised but giddy to what he said. He had prepared himself with comebacks to insults or slight flirting, but never something so upfront. He was at a complete loss of words, just staring with wide eyes at the boy showing his signature grin.
“Here you go, Kurt!” Rachel said, pushing the coffee in front of his face. Although he wanted to have one on one time with the boy, Kurt was glad that she came back then; he had no idea how to reply to the boy’s latest comment.
“Well, I need to get going,” the boy said, standing up out of his seat.
“Wait!” Kurt exclaimed. He couldn’t keep calling this boy ‘mystery boy’ forever, “What’s your name?”
“My name,” he says, holding out his hand for Kurt, “Is Blaine Anderson.”
“Nice to meet you, Blaine,” Kurt says. Adding to the fact that he’s incredibly hot, his name just adds the cherry on top of the sexy sundae who is this boy. He takes the boy’s – Blaine’s – hand and shakes it firmly, “Kurt Hummel.”
“Firm grip,” Blaine says, “That’s useful.”
Kurt scoffs and pulls his hand back, trying to look offended. Blaine then says something even worse. “Remember my name, Kurt. You’ll be screaming it later.”
Kurt eyes were so wide they were going to pop out of his head. How could this boy say something so offensive, yet sound incredibly hot and turn Kurt on? In the meantime, Rachel thankfully didn’t understand the reference, “Why would he be screaming it?” she asked herself out loud.
Both boys were too focused on each other to answer, though. Blaine said, “I’ll see you later Kurt,” turns his head, “Rachel,” and walks out of the coffee shop, swaying his hips.
Kurt shuts his mouth that has been open from shock, and turns to Rachel, blushing. Rachel was giving him a playful death stare, “Okay, Kurt, who is THAT?”
He sighs, getting ready to tell her the whole story about Blaine. At least he knows his name now.
