When Kurt arrived at school, it was similar to Blaine’s morning. He got asked a lot of questions, mostly by Tina and Mercedes, which was okay. During school, he focused enough, but he also couldn’t help the feeling of excitement coursing through him whenever he thought about Blaine or the date or kissing him. It wasn’t until Glee, however, that he really got interrogated. He arrived to the choir room early to hopefully avoid questions, but Mr. Shuester was late for class (something about Sue Sylvester locking him in his classroom – how did she even do that?), so the rest of the New Directions had tones of time to learn about Blaine. There were other conversations and stories prior to Kurt’s, but after a while they ended up talking about his love life:

“Dude, how come I didn’t know about this?” Finn asked in his cute, trying-to-be-a-protective-big-brother tone. “He better not hurt you, or I’ll hurt him.”

“Yeah,” Sam agreed, “Mike, Artie and I are in. Isn’t he a trouble maker? That’s what I heard.”

“Bad boy eh Kurt?” Puck chuckled. “Get some!” he continued, high fiving Kurt. Kurt just rolled his eyes, but still returned it.

“Okay,” Rachel started as she walked through the choir doors, Tina and Mike following behind, “so I know you gave us a basic summary of that night, but I want to hear all of the details!”

“Me too!” Tina and Mercedes both said at the same time.

“Yeah,” Artie added, “Apparently he did something right, and I need to know how to plan a romantic date; I’m totally lost when it comes to these things.”

“I just find it so cute how he caught you,” Tina cooed.

“Wanky,” Santana chirped as she walked through the door holding hands with Britany. Her and Santana took the seats on the left of Kurt, Mercedes already sitting at his right alongside Rachel.

“Congrats on catching a dolphin Kurt,” Britany said, a big smile on her face. “I’m glad it’s not a killer whale, apparently if you catch one they can hurt you and eat all of your food. Lord Tubbington wouldn’t be happy if I caught a killer whale…”

“What she’s trying to say,” Santana interrupted, “is that we’re proud of our little gay for actually finding another gay in this place.” She gave him a little smile, but the nice grin quickly turned devious. “And if you ever need advice, Auntie Tanie is here for you. You’re almost as big of a virgin lady as Mary, and I’m pretty much the opposite, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask the expert.”

Kurt blushed and gave a quick and semi-sarcastic “okay” before Mr. Shue walked in to start their lesson. Kurt was glad for the sudden interruption, getting everyone’s mind away from the previous topic. He started talking about Nationals, which is in Chicago, and later on about how they will receive their sectionals list soon. Kurt was excited to start competitions, and was hoping for a possible solo. He knew that they could win this year; regionals for sure, and hopefully nationals.

Mr. Shue then began to give one of his emotional pep talks, so Kurt zoned out and his mind once again drifted to Blaine. He wondered if they would still be together when Nationals came around. Were they even a couple? Kurt had no idea; they went on a date, which seemed to go very well, and he did kiss him this morning. Kurt, unlike Blaine, has never been in a relationship before, and has no idea about how things were supposed to progress. He’s watched enough chic flicks with Mercedes and Rachel to have a bit of an idea, but those were movies, and they were always between a girl and a guy. Maybe he would ask Santana for advice; or one of the guys possibly. Although, he wasn’t sure of how romantic Puck was, or whether Finn and Rachel’s relationship was actually healthy.

He felt his phone buzz then, and opened it to find a text from Mercedes, saying:

Stop day dreaming about Blaine ;)

He looked over at Mercedes, sitting right next to him, and gave her the best bitch glare he could, while she just smirked at him, knowing that she was right.

Kurt looked back down at his phone again, and scrolled through his contacts. He found ‘sex god’ (he needed to change that name) and wondered if he should text Blaine; was it too soon? He should probably stop over thinking things, considering he probably was. Just to be safe, though, he texted Mercedes back.

Should I text him? Or is it too soon?

Go for it! You think too much, I’m sure he’d be glad to hear from you!

He smiled. Mercedes always gave him the best advice about anything. He could always count on her. Just as he was clicking on the “send message” part of Blaine’s contact information, he received another text, this time not from Mercedes. It was from ‘sex god’, or rather, Blaine:

I’m getting interrogated right now, please save me!

Kurt was confused; he had Blaine’s number, but Blaine didn’t have his. How did he get his number? He was confused, but still incredibly happy. He texted back:

Yeah me too, for once I’d rather not be put in the spotlight. How did you get my number? :P

I’m good at taking things without people realizing it. I can be pretty sneaky ;)

How do I not notice these things? -_-  Ps Mercedes says hi!

They continued texting for a while, Blaine telling Kurt that he wouldn’t be going to the Lima Bean for the rest of the week. Kurt didn’t mind, he knew Blaine lived far enough away.

Do you want to go see a movie this weekend?

Mercedes saw the text, and playfully poked Kurt. Rachel was at the front of the group going on about how they should pick at least one solo from Cabaret for her to do at sectionals. Nobody noticed Kurt texting – they were too busy giving Rachel annoyed looks. He was thankful for that; he didn’t want to get in trouble.

He typed in a reply, but showed it to Mercedes before sending it. When she gave him a nod of approval, he pressed send.

Yeah, that sounds great! No scary movies though

But those are the best kind :( you can cuddle with me if you get scared ;)

Now that you say that, it’s a maybe! When? :)

We don’t even really have to watch the movie ;) How about Friday at 7ish?

Kurt chuckled at his comment. I have family dinners on Friday. How about Saturday?

Blaine saw that text and sighed. He wished he had family dinners. His dinner usually consists of either eating by himself when his parents were busy, or quiet dinners at a long table, mostly only hearing conversations between his parents about business.

Saturday sounds good! I’ll pick you up at 7

Wait, Kurt thought, on his motorcycle? That idea freaked Kurt out a little bit; he’s never really wanted to go on one. They seem scary and the helmet would mess up his hair. If he could hold on to Blaine, though, he didn’t mind as much.

                Okay, see you then :)

As he sent that text, Glee finished and most of the kids headed home. Mercedes squealed beside him, and Kurt turned to her, giving her a timid smile. After she said bye, Kurt walked out of the classroom and over to his locker.

While putting his books in his bag, he got shoved into the lockers. His back hit with a loud clang and he fell to the floor, wrapping his arms around his knees. He looked up to see David Karofsky laughing at him and walking away. When Karofsky opened the door and left to the parking lot, Kurt sighed and stood up, grabbing his bag from his locker. He walked out to the parking lot, angry at Karofsky for dampening his mood. He looked back at his phone, remembering the date he had on Saturday, which cheered him up a little bit. He drove back home, hoping to find a way to keep his hair coiffed after being in a helmet.
