Oh fine, just one more class and I can leave. Kurt started to feel the relief as he could hear the bell marking the end of the penultimate class. Standing up and starting his way out to the hallway he could only think about counting minutes he have to spend in school that thay until the end of the next class, which is going to be maths. Just 52 more minutes.

Kurt headed to the classroom when he realised he left his calculator in his locker. Damn it! Every morning he grabs all the stuffs he can bear from which he is going to need the day from his locker. The least time he has to spend on the hallways the least chance to be ending up in his locker, or the dumpster, or the toilet, or somewhere even worse then these together.

Cursing himself for being so unmindful, he turned around to find his locker. Just two turns and I’m there. BAMMM! As he turned a stout hockey player pushed him, so he hit the lockers. One. Because this was the first time since he left the last class, he was smacked against the lockers. But that is nothing. So he straightened his shirt and hurried to his locker. Fidgeting on the lock he feels it again. Two. This time a football player. He managed to open his locker, took his calculator and put in the stuff he won’t need anymore that day, just to save himself a route back here after maths.

On his way back to the math lab his counting reached six. His record was 29 during a break. Almost 30, but he stumbled in his own feet so the jock accidentally hit another guy instead of him.

Math was really boring. He finished the tasks for the 45 minutes in 15 minutes, so he just sat there thinking. Glancing around the room he saw all the others suffering with the exercises. He could help, but no, they deserve that. As he gets more and more bored, he thinks about doing something much more fun. Going some place where it’s much more fun spending his time. A small smile appearing on his lips and suddenly he is not in the classroom anymore.

A perfect place to be. He can do everything he wants. I feel like swinging. He walked up to the top of a hill where a huge tree can be found with a swing hanging on it. Kurt sat down in the swing and started to make it go higher and higher. After about twenty minutes of swinging he stopped and just sat there. He felt something strange. Not bad, just strange. This is odd. He thought, because it’s his own place. Nothing should be strange. He never felt strange here in his life before.

The ringing made his mind stop flowing. He fell back to his real life, he quickly packed his stuff and ran out to his car. He parked his car 3 blocks away from the school. It was needed if he didn’t want to wash eggs, paint and other types of stains off of it every single day. He drove home and after opening the door he yelled a „Hey Dad!” and run straight into his room.

He shut the door and sat down on his bad. What happened? I shouldn’t feel weird in my own mind. I need to go back and find out what’s wrong.

After his classes Blaine decided to run a few /or a lot of/ laps. While running he thought through his day. He wasn’t happy. During lunch break he had to play nice with a girl who was clearly hitting on him. She asked for help in chemistry and since Blaine was the best in the class he agreed to help her. She had herself invited over to Blaine’s for the next day.

He hated to be in the closet. He’s always been the type of guy who didn’t care about what others said. Except for his best friends and his parents. So he had to play nice with all the pretty girls who got interested in him. But how much easier it would be for him to be out. He wouldn’t have to lie everytime someone wants to date him.

He had a Warblers practice earlier the day. They sang Gawin DeGraw’s “I don’t want to be” with the choir which made Blaine feel a teeny tiny bit nervous. That was the reason for him to leave before everyone else and going to the tracks.

He found the locker room empty, and sat down on a bench. His mind started to soar right away. On a sudden he was sitting on the ground. His hand stroking the grass beneath, he felt his heart skipping a beat. It woke him up immediately, so he changed his clothes and went for a run.

It never happened before. He didn’t know what happened, but he definitely wanted to find out. He felt something back there. Something he’s never experienced before…ever.

After an hour of running he run out of strength /and his breath obviously/ and decided to go home, to find another place to clear his mind. After a quick shower he drove home and fell on his bed.

And then it happens. They both enter their own secret world in the exact same time, lying on their own beds, Kurt in Lima and Blaine in Westerville. A two-hour drive and they could be together, only they don’t know each other, they don’t even know about the other’s existence.

They both fall into their world and feel that strange thing that they felt earlier the day but never before. Something warmer, something snugger, something great, but most of all something new.

Kurt found himself sitting in the swing he has sat in earlier. What is this? He stood up and made his way to the ledge of the hill. He glimpsed something, or someone like vibrating in the distance.

“Hallooooo!!“ He screams, and he can hear some weird echoing. Except it’s not his voice.

“Is there anybody? “ He tries again.

“Is there anybody?“ Can be heard from the distance and now Kurt knows it can’t be an echo. Someone else is there with him.

This is impossible. It’s my mind, and I’m not making anyone to be here. He started running towards the flashing shape. But he had to stop. The shape started moving towards him. As Kurt stopped, the shape stopped, too. But it started coming closer. It’s a person, a stranger in my own mind! It can’t be happening. Why is he – is he a he? Yes he IS a he…- Why is he coming closer.

“Stop! Stay away from me!“ He commanded and the other man stopped immediately.

“Who are you?“ The other one asked.

“Who are YOU? What are you doing here?“

“Who am I? You shouldn’t be here.“ The stranger slowly started walking again.

“Don’t come any closer or I will… hurt you! Ummm… Really bad!“

“What? You know you can’t hurt me, you are not even real.“

What? I AM real! Well, not exactly but this is my place to decide what’s real and what is not. And who is this guy? Kurt started to move slowly. He wanted to get a better look at the person possessing his personal area.

What this child is kidding me? First he gatecrashes my own mind and now threatening me? Like I wouldn’t know this is just a dream.

Blaine walked up to the other boy and realized that in contempt of his voice, he is not a child but a teen about his own age. They stopped at the same time just a few steps from each other. Now Blaine could see him, he wasn’t vibrating, he was getting blurry every now and then.

But God, you are beautiful. See that’s how I know it’s a dream.

“Who are you? Why are you blurry?“

The beautiful boy looks down at himself and then back at Blaine.

“I’m not blurry, you are and this is my dream, I don’t know you, you shouldn’t be here.“

“What? Wait! No. This is in MY own mind, believe me I should know.“

“I should know. How did you get here? What is your name?“

“I’m Blaine, and as I said I’m dreaming. What about you?“

“Kurt. Also dreaming.

I see. “

“Dinner is ready! “

“Excuse me?“ Blaine frowned.

Kurt glanced at him for the last time and fell back into realization, by his stepbrother shaking him.

“You sleeping, dude?“

“No Finn, what’s wrong?“

“Nothing, I said dinner’s ready.“

The last thing Blaine could hear when Kurt disappeared with the other voice. Finn? And he was alone again on the field. Kurt?

This is really interesting. I am curious to see if they get to know each other in their dream world and if that will lead them to meeting for real. I can't wait to see where you take these characters next.
