There he is again, dreamy as ever. How is he real? He’s so perfect and –
“KURT!” Mercedes snapped in his ear, clicking her fingers in front of his face.
“What?!” Kurt whined angrily, pouting a little as he watched Blaine walk down the corridor away from his locker, arm in arm with Rachel, his girlfriend.
“Stop drooling over Blaine Anderson and hurry up, we’re going to be late to French.” Mercedes told him, Kurt blushing loudly at just the mention of Blaine’s name.
“I was not drooling.” Kurt bit back, rolling his eyes as they headed to AP French. Kurt tried not to think about Blaine's big brown eyes as Madam Lefoure droned on about past tense words (something Kurt was already very familiar with), but he end up thinking about them anyway. By the end of their lesson Kurt had learned absolutely nothing except that his little “high school crush” on the most popular guy in school was getting out of hand.
*
Kurt’s lunch did bellyflops in his stomach as he headed to math, knowing he sat only three people apart from Blaine was enough to make his heart feel like it was on fire. Kurt busied himself with taking out his books and pencils, straightening them on his portion of the desk as he heard Blaine come in, felt his presence in the room. When everybody was seated and the teacher had arrived, Kurt chanced a look over at Blaine, stifling the whimper that threatened to release itself as he watched Blaine stare intently at the board, the smallest of frowns tilting his eyebrows inwards as the teacher worked through an equation. Kurt watched Blaine’s lips purse in thought, those beautiful, peach colored lips that Kurt had wanted to kiss for forever.
“Right everybody; get on with questions 4 and 5 in the textbook in silence” the teacher said, the sound of students searching their bags noisily for their textbooks filling the room suddenly. Kurt had a minor panic as he realized he’d been too busy staring at his future husband to pay attention, so he’d missed the teacher explaining the work. Kurt turned to question 4 and stared blankly at the page, the jumble of numbers and symbols making absolutely no sense to him. Fuck, he was screwed.
When his teacher left to use the restroom Kurt quickly asked the girl sitting next to him, Lucy, how to do the equation.
“You should have been listening.” Lucy snapped, sticking her nose in the air as she whizzed through the calculations.
“Well I wasn’t, now can you please just explain?” Kurt asked through gritted teeth, trying not to let his annoyance show, though he was sure he wasn’t doing a very good job.
“Nope” she chimed, jumping up and rushing to the teacher. Kurt growled low in his throat, Blaine’s head snapping up at the sound.
“Uh..Kurt? Are you OK?” Blaine asked, that angelic voice of his stirring something deep within Kurt.
“Y-y-yeah, I’m f-fine thanks.” Kurt squeaked, cursing his vocal cords for making his voice high when he’s nervous.
“No he’s not, Hummel doesn’t understand the work.” Lucy said from in front of Kurt, a smirk playing on her lips as Kurt shot her a death glare. Kurt didn’t want the Blaine Anderson to think he was a complete and utter dumbass, not since this was the first time Kurt had properly spoken to Blaine since the beginning of the year where they’d exchanged some small talk that made Kurt’s heart leap.
“Oh...I could help you if you like, Kurt?” Blaine offered, his tea colored eyes flicking up and meeting with Kurt’s. Kurt’s insides melted with Blaine’s kindness, and he fell even more in love with the beautiful boy. Kurt nodded quickly and smiled, not trusting his voice at this moment. Blaine stood and shuffled along a bit, falling into Lucy’s chair with a sigh.
The smell of cologne hit Kurt like a ton of bricks as Blaine leaned a little closer, everything suddenly tight in Kurt’s chest as Blaine pulled the text book closer to him and started to explain the work. Kurt didn’t listen to a word he was saying, he couldn’t listen to a word he was saying, because all he could focus on was the curve of Blaine’s cheek, so smooth that Kurt had to ball his hands into fists to stop himself from reaching out and tracing it with his finger. Kurt made sure to nod and “mhmm” in all the right places, not wanting Blaine to think he wasn’t listening (even though he wasn’t..).
“And that makes 115 squared, see?” Blaine looked up at Kurt, a little smile curving the corners of his lips and taking Kurt’s breath away. Kurt’s whole body longed for him, longed for those strong arms to wrap around him and pull him close, longed for those sweet lips to kiss patterns up and down his neck, longed for that gorgeous body to be all his. The thought made him blush, and he cursed his pale skin as he felt his whole face heat up.
“Uh..yeah, thanks Blaine.” Kurt croaked, voice deep from arousal. The bell for the end of the day made Kurt jump a little, the sudden loud noise scaring him slightly. Blaine stood and with one last little wave he strode back to his desk and started to put his books away. Kurt forced himself to stand and do the same, the act of being so close to Blaine making his brain turn to goo.
