“Are you sure you don't want me to come?” Kurt asked, seeing how nervous Blaine was.
“Yes, I'm only here to talk to Coop,” Blaine sighed, “but thank you.” he turned to his boyfriend and kissed him on the lips, making it linger. Kurt slid his fingers in Blaine's hair and pulled him closer, making their kiss last longer. His lips hungrily on Blaine's. Blaine moaned, the sound purring in the back of his throat, only encouraging Kurt even more. Blaine pushed Kurt away, sitting back to catch his breath. “I'm sorry.” Kurt apologized, “I got carried away.”
“I like it when you do.” Blaine chuckled, “you just quite literally take my breath away.” They looked at each other and smiled.
“I love you.”
“I love you too. I'll ask Coop to drop me off back at the hospital but I'll call you later?”
“You better.” Kurt pecked Blaine's cheek, watching him get out of the car.
Blaine waved to Kurt and waited for him to be around the corner before he knocked on his parental house's door. Blaine felt nervous and he missed the safety of his hospital room. It felt as if his heart froze when the door opened and he saw his mum stand there.
“Blaine!” she said in shock, looking very surprised to see him standing on their doorstep.
“Hi mum.” He smiled nervously, “can I come in?”
Before he knew what happened, his mum had pulled him into a tight hug and he could hear her breath hitch slightly as she said. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.” Blaine admitted, knowing it was true. As much as he disliked his parents disapproving of his choice, he had missed his parents a lot.
“What brings you here?” his mum asks as they let go.
“I, uhm, I'm actually here to talk to Coop.” Blaine admitted.
“Oh.” Her face fell but she recovered quickly, “he's in his room. Do go say hi to your dad, if you will.”
Blaine nodded and followed his mum into the living room. His dad looked up as he heard them enter. “Blaine.” his face full of surprise, he jumped up.
“Hi dad.”
“What brings you here?”
“He wants to talk to Cooper.” His mum answered for him.
“Oh?” his dad raised eyebrows, “anything we can help with?”
Blaine shook his head. “Not really. Just need talk with Coop.” He shrugged, smiled, turned and made his way to the stairs.
“Blaine?” he stopped and turned back to his tracks, “how've you been?”
“I'm okay.” Blaine lied.
“Any news that we haven't heard yet? Is the treatment going better again?” his dad voice broke lightly.
“Still the same.”
“Oh...well, I guess it's stable so that's good.” His dad, mumbled, slumping back down in the sofa.
Blaine waited for anything else to be said but his dad went quiet and looking at his mum, he only got a small smile from her and a nod, encouraging him to go upstairs.
As he walked up the stairs he could hear his mum's whispers. “Maybe it's not too late to go see that doctor in New York.”
Blaine rolled his eyes and continued climbing the stairs. His parents would never change. He knocked on Cooper's door twice, both announcing his arrival and wanting to make sure he wouldn't walk in on any indecencies. He knew his brother well enough to know that the latter wasn't at all impossible. “Yeah?” Cooper's voice called from the other side. Blaine entered and immediately got welcomed by his brother's warm voice. “Hey bro! What are you doing here?” he enveloped Blaine in a tight hug.
“Coop, I need some advise.” Blaine sighed, setting his jaw.
“Oh?” Cooper went to sit down and composed himself, to show his brother he was trying to be serious.
“It's about Kurt,” Blaine started, looking for the right words, “like, I won't be around much longer and-“
“Blaine! Don't say that.” Cooper disapproved.
“It's true, Coop! The quicker you accept it, the easier.” Blaine spoke, he waited for his brother to reply, got a nod instead and continued, “however, I love Kurt and he was too damn stubborn to not to fall in love with me,” they both smiled, “so we're kind of together now.”
“Blaine, you're kind of rambling and telling me stuff I already knew,” Cooper interrupted, “get to the point because you're making me nervous.” He smiled encouraging.
“I want to have sex with Kurt.” Blaine blurted out, immediately his hand covering his mouth. Shocked at his own outburst. Cooper's eyes widened before growing into an amused grin.
“Not so much little brother anymore then.” He raised an eyebrow.
Blaine could feel his cheeks flame. “Shut up.” He mumbled embarrassed.
“Oh no, I am happy for you deciding to do this. So what's the problem then? You don't need me to show you right? I mean, I don't think mum would appreciate me using the bananas for that.”
“Coop!” Blaine slapped his arm.
“Hah, sorry. It's stronger than myself.” he laughed, “what's up?”
Blaine shrugged, biting his lip. “I'm scared. And what if Kurt doesn't want to? What if he dumps me? What if I make a total fool of myself? What if I do it wrong?” Blaine blurted out his fears and stared at his hands. His mind was running all over the place and he wasn't even sure which question or worry to think of or ask about first. “What if I ruin it?” His voice small.
“Blaine,” Coop squeezed his brother's shoulder, “if this Kurt loves you the way I believe he does, then you've got nothing to worry about. You will not ruin it because it will be with someone you love and who loves you back.”
Blaine nodded and looked at his brother with insecure eyes. It was weird to get advice about love and relationships and how special it'd be from his bigger brother, when Coop's room was filled with dirty posters. He was well aware this was because they were mainly from Coop's teenage years, but the fact he still hadn't taken them down seemed worrying to him. However, he knew Cooper would never lie to him.
“So, when are you...?”
“I've not talked to Kurt about it. I just wanted to talk to someone else about it first. I don't know how to do this.”
“Blaine, you're over thinking it. The less you stress about it, the easier it'll be.”
Blaine raised his eyebrows at him.
“You know what I mean.” Cooper patted his back. “Talk about it with Kurt and you'll see that there's nothing to worry about.”
“I guess you're right.” He bit his lip.
“You want to practise your talk with me?” Cooper chuckled.
“Oh shut up!” Blaine pushed his brother away, but realized he did feel a little bit more reassured.
Cooper cleared his throat. “So...how long have you got?”
Blaine saw the sadness in his brother's eyes and wanted to lie. instead he told him. “I don't know. But not long anyway.”
