Blaine has no intention of telling this Kurt Hummel anything. He is not here voluntarily - he is only here to pacify his mother, nothing more. Guilt makes his stomach twist as he thinks of the money she will be spending for naught, but he refuses to bare his soul to a complete stranger. Unbiased individual or not.

He doesn't expect the first sight of his therapist to take his breath away.

He pictured a graying man, with silver at his temples and wrinkles lining his face. Or even just someone late into their middle ages, with a weary look and slightly sagging shoulders. He didn't expect this.

Kurt Hummel is beautiful.

Blaine gapes soundlessly up at the older man, something fluttering nervously in the pit of his stomach. He makes a valiant attempt to quash it down, reprimanding himself sternly. He is your therapist. He is a stranger. He is nothing to you.

"Hi there," his therapist speaks in a controlled voice. A tiny smile pulls at the corners of his lips. "You must be my new patient." He extends a hand towards Blaine, his gaze guarded. "My name is Kurt."

Blaine takes the proffered hand, biting down on his lower lip. "Blaine."

Kurt smiles encouragingly, and Blaine feels something inside him inflate. "Well, Blaine, why don't you come in?" he asks, stepping aside as he releases Blaine's hand. "And you can just make yourself comfortable wherever you want." Blaine wonders what he means by that, but as soon as he gets a clearer view of the office, he understands.

Two chairs are squashed into one corner of the office, as well as a small desk. There is also a low cushioned bench and a carpeted area with a blanket spread out and colorful throw pillows. Blaine's eyes widen in surprise.

Kurt laughs at his expression, making an exaggerated sweeping motion. "People have different ways of being comfortable, and who am I to deprive them of it?" he explains. Blaine fights back a smile at this remarkable statement and takes a seat on the bench, ducking his head shyly. Kurt smiles at him and settles down on the ground.

It's strange, having to look down at him.

"So, Blaine," Kurt starts out in a careful tone, "do you have any siblings?" Blaine's eyebrows shoot up at the innocuous question, and he lifts his head to look directly at Kurt. His therapist is smiling slightly, almost absently. Blaine nods, even as his stomach sinks. Because Kurt - Dr Hummel - he's magnetic. Blaine can already feel his sheer presence tugging at him, pulling him out of the tight little shell he'd locked himself into.

He's not allowed to feel this way. Not anymore.
