Author's Notes: Okay, well this took a little while but I was busy with school, so...here's chapter 3, I hope you like it... Read & Review please :3 K byee

“You’d think that working in a bar you’d be used to hangovers Blaine.”

“Shut up Wes” Blaine groaned.

He had woken up that morning with the worst headache ever and couldn’t even remember a thing from last night. Not that he wanted to. The only reason Blaine ever got this drunk was so that he could block out things he never wanted to remember.

“Here, have some coffee, you look like a dead person.” Wes said handing him a mug of hot coffee, ”I’m not even going to force you out of bed, almost drunk yourself unconscious”

That bad? Blaine thought to himself. He decided he’d take the chance.

“What happened?”

Wes turned looking confused, “You don’t remember?”

Blaine shook his head.

“I’m not sure you want to then”

“Tell me, please?” Blaine pleaded.

Wes sighed and sat at the edge of Blaine’s bed, ”Well, you guys were talking and suddenly he got really close to you and-“

“Wait, who’s you guys?”

“You and…. Kurt”

“Oh.”

“Should I continue?” Wes asked.

“No, I think I remember now” Blaine said quietly.

“I’m going over to Rachel’s, I’ll bring you back some lunch okay?”

Blaine nodded.

He sat up in bed, sifting through the blurry moments of last night. He remembered sitting and talking with Kurt, then what else? Wes had said they got really close, but why? Then the memory hit him clear and sharp. They had almost kissed. Blaine remembered Kurt’s face when Jake had interrupted, seen his face when Jake stormed out, pained and worried but not as much as Blaine would have thought, but still, it pained Blaine for some reason. Kurt hadn’t come back, or at least back to him, so he ordered a drink and another… and another…and another.

Blaine shook his head trying to shake the memory from his mind and fell back in his bed, staring up at the ceiling.

“Life sucks” he said to himself.

Blaine lay in bed for what seemed to be two hours cursing his life until his stomach decided he had bigger problems. He didn’t think Wes was coming back for now so he’d find something himself. Blaine stood up, feeling dizzy immediately, he stood still until the feeling passed and walked slowly to the kitchen. He searched the cupboards and fridge and finally decided on ordering a pizza. He sat in the living room and turned on the T.V. waiting for the pizza to arrive, when it finally did he finished the whole box in twenty minutes. Not long after he fell asleep.

“Blaine?”

“Mmmm”

“Maybe you should just let him stay.”

Blaine heard a girlish voice say, Rachel probably.

“Yea, he looks tired.”

This voice forced Blaine to open his eyes.

Kurt.

“Morning” Wes grinned down at him.

Blaine sat up and looked around, Wes, Rachel and Kurt were all staring at him somewhat concerned. Blaine’s gaze wondered to Kurt who was smiling softly, the sight of him made him stop breathing. He was wearing very tight black jeans with boots and a blue shirt with a black vest, he was beautiful.

And you look like crap

“Oh my God.” Blaine said realizing how he looked right now compared to Kurt, jumping up to go change or hide or something better than this moment of embarrassment.

“Ok, see you later! I brought you take out!” Wes yelled after him as he rushed down the hallway to his room making a mental note to kick Wes’ ass.

He quickly took a shower and changed into more presentable clothing and contemplated rejoining them.

He decided against it, he decided he’d just get the take out Wes had brought from the kitchen and just hide in his room until they had left.

“Hi.”

Blaine turned away from the food he was sharing out to see Kurt standing in the kitchen doorway.

“Oh, hello” Blaine replied trying not to sound nervous. Why was he even nervous? “Came for something?”

“Yea, water” Kurt said.

“Well, cups in that cupboard over there.” Blaine showed him, collected his food and rushed out the kitchen. He was sorry if he had sounded cold but being in Kurt’s presence was making his body do things it shouldn’t. Blaine opened the door to the balcony, taking in the breeze, the sun had set now and the sky was a purplish colour, it was beautiful. Blaine went back in his room got his paint set and started to paint.

Kurt was getting restless, Rachel and Wes had gone to buy something from somewhere, he wasn’t sure where, he wasn’t listening, he was too busy thinking about Blaine and how adorable he had looked when he was asleep.

He stood up to stretch his legs and decided to take a look around. After inspecting the DVD and CD collections, deciding that Blaine and Wes had a flawless music and movie taste, he glimpsed something outside on the balcony. It was Blaine, he had his back turned, but he was painting what Kurt assumed was the sky. It was beautiful.

Before Kurt knew what he was doing, he slid open the door and stepped out into the cool evening. He stood there awhile to watch Blaine, how smoothly he moved, how beautiful the picture was. His eyes ran over his whole body, he was wearing dark blue jeans with a plain white T-shirt. He wasn’t macho but his muscles stood out in the shirt making Kurt feel such things it was if as if he didn’t have a boyfriend.

“That’s really beautiful” Kurt found himself saying, talking about Blaine himself and not the painting.

Blaine jumped and turned to see who it was.

Kurt racked his brain frantically to find a good reason for why he was out here being a creepy guy.

“Sorry, Wes and Rachel went to go pick up something, I got bored” he shrugged.

“Oh, well thanks” Blaine said, staring out at the sky.

Kurt took a couple steps closer and sat in the chair beside Blaine.

“So, you paint too” He asked.

Blaine nodded.

“Is there anything else you do? Are you secretly spiderman too?”

Blaine put his finger to his lips, smiling slighty.

“Ssssshhh,no one needs to know.” He whispered.

Kurt leaned over, “Your secret’s safe with me.”

They sat in silence as Kurt watched Blaine paint.

“I’m sorry” Blaine whispered.

“For what?” Kurt asked confused.

“Last night, you know at the party…we were-.”

Kurt held up his hand, silencing Blaine immediately.

“It’s fine” Kurt smiled.

It wasn’t fine. Jake had walked in on him almost kissing another guy. Kurt had found him, crying. He may have been drunk but he wasn’t drunk enough to not feel horrible for almost cheating on his boyfriend. Jake was mad, he had told Kurt to go away, so he did. Kurt couldn’t bear to go back to the party, so he texted Rachel his apology and went home, he waited up for Jake all night, but he never came home. He wasn’t blaming Blaine for it, he had been the one who almost kissed Blaine and not the other way around, so he wouldn’t burden him with the worry. That wasn’t fair.

“So are you guys okay?” He asked.

“Yea” Kurt lied.

The rest of the evening passed in silence, until Rachel and Wes came back home and the party moved back out into the living room.

“We should be going now” Rachel said eventually.

“Yea, it’s getting dark” Wes agreed.

Kurt didn’t want to leave, he wasn’t looking forward to going back home, not knowing what would or wouldn’t be waiting for him when he got there. He wasn’t done stealing glances at Blaine when he could and catching Blaine stealing glances at him either. But obviously he couldn’t say that.

“You’re not ready to go home yet are you?” Rachel asked as soon as they had left Wes and Blaine’s.

Kurt shook his head, ”no.”

Rachel slipped her arm through Kurt’s, “well, let’s go get dinner.”

Sometimes Rachel could be the most annoying person ever but when needed she could be the most understanding person ever and Kurt was grateful to have her as a best friend.

“So what happened?”She asked sympathetically.

“You saw what happened” Kurt started.

She nodded.

“Haven’t seen him since.”

“You like Kurt.” She said

Kurt was a bit surprised that she sounded so sure, she didn’t even ask, but told him he like him.

“I shouldn’t”

“For the record, I think you guys would look better together anyways, Jake always seemed… shady to me.”

Kurt glared at her, although he somehow knew it was true, Jake had been shady, over-possessive too but he was his first boyfriend, it had been two years with him, all his firsts had been with him, what was he supposed to do? End it? He couldn’t.

Kurt banged his head on the table as the waitress brought out their food.

“You don’t have to be alone tonight, you can always stay with me” Rachel said rubbing his arm.

“No,” Kurt shook his head, “I have to go home, he could be there.”

Rachel stared at him sympathetically.

“If you must, but I’m always a phone call away.”

Kurt just nodded, starting on his food. He hadn’t eaten since last night, maybe he’d feel better once he got some food in himself.

He kept checking his phone to see if Jake had texted or called even. He hadn’t.

“Kurt, you have to decide, it’s 11:37pm now, the diner is closing” Rachel said.

Kurt looked at the clock, wondering where the past three hours went.

“Yea…I guess I should” He replied standing up and paying the bill.

“Hey Rach,” he called as they were parting ways, “thanks.”

She smiled and came forward to hug him.

“Anytime Kurt.”

She let go and he started walking, his heart felt heavy and his eyes tearing up.

Half of him hoped Jake was there, half didn’t want him to be. He held his breath as he climbed the stairs to his apartment. He stopped when he heard noises coming from his apartment, was it Jake? He didn’t stop to wonder, he opened to door and immediately regretted even coming home. He was home. Before Jake could see him he ran. Of course Jake was there, but he wasn’t alone.
