Blaine Anderson moved around the bar, serving drinks as people crowded into the bar. It was Friday, finally the weekend the people of New York had come to start their weekend. The place was buzzing with loud music and even louder people. Blaine cringed as a loud screeching noise came over the speakers, he had had a bad day and could feel a headache coming on, all he wanted was to go home and relax in his Jacuzzi, but no, it had Friday, he had to work until 3am the earliest. He checked his watch “10:36pm” Blaine groaned, the night hadn’t even begun.

“Hey!” a girlish voice broke Blaine from his thoughts, he looked over at a slightly annoyed blond, who looked suspiciously young to be at a bar.

“May I help you?” Blaine asked warily

“Yea, can I have one of… ummm…those cosmos?” She asked flipping her hair over her shoulder.

“Can I see some I.D please?”

The request seemed to have taken the girl by surprise, her eyes went wide for a split second.

“What? Why? You didn’t ask anyone else to see theirs”

“That’s because everyone else didn’t look 17”

“Come on,” she pleaded batting her eyes, leaning over exposing her breasts that looked like they were suffocating in that extremely tight red dress she had on.

“Just one drink... I’ll give you a really…really nice tip” she flirting, twirling her hair.

Blaine smiled to himself,

“Just play along.” He thought to himself, he leaned over the counter, inches away from the girl “how good?” he whispered

“Well, you’ll just have to give me the drink to find out now don’t you” she whispered, inching closer.

“Is that right?”

“Absolutely” she tugged on one of his suspenders, “so, you’d better get to it”

“I’d better” he smiled and walked over to fix her drink, he could never understand why these teenagers felt they can get away with that, this girl had the be the 7th under-aged girl today.

Blaine returned to the girl, who was now checking her make-up in a pocket mirror, he handed her the glass. She flashed him a flirty smile and took a sip as he cleaned off the mess drinkers had left on the counter.

“This is NOT a Cosmo!” the girl yelled. Blaine rolled his eyes.

“And you’re not 21” he replied not bothering to hide his annoyance.

“So you give me water?”

“Well that’s all that’s here that I can give you without getting arrested”

“Well, looks like you just missed out on an awesome tip”

“Oh darn, who saw that coming?” Blaine replied sarcastically. She glared at him and moved to get up.

“You’re gonna wish you got that tip later tonight”

“I don’t think so, I don’t play for your team sweetheart” Blaine said nonchalantly.

“No wonder,” she said rolling her eyes, “All the pretty ones don’t” and she got up and left.

Blaine smiled to himself as he served more drinks.

“Excuse me?” a voice called. Blaine rolled his eyes and turned towards the voice and stopped dead in his tracks.

He was faced with the most beautiful he had ever seen, a pale face with piercing blue eyes, lips a pale shade of pink, his brown hair was perfectly coiffed. He looked like he had stepped straight out of a vogue magazine. He was wearing a blue, cotton V-neck that clung to his body in a way that made Blaine want to trace his fingers all over it.

Blaine realized his staring when the man cleared his throat, bringing him out of whatever world he had just entered.

“Oh…ummm…sorry”

“That’s fine,” the man said smiling. Blaine felt his heart stop at the sight, this man was beautiful, it was as if God had hand sculpted him and sent him down in a chariot of angels.

“Can I have some water please?” he asked, his face slightly amused.

“Water? Sure, coming up” Blaine turned his back, feeling his face turn red, embarrassed that he let himself react that way. It’s not like the first time cute guys came in here, but there was something about this one, he wasn’t cute, he was beautiful, beyond words and Blaine could feel himself being pulled into a situation he didn’t want to be pulled into.

“Here you go.” Blaine said, handing the man his glass, his fingers brushed against the other man’s fingers as he took the glass and smiled. A tingly feeling shot through Blaine immediately and suddenly, his pants started to get just a little but tighter.

“Thanks.” the man smiled and disappeared into the crowd.

Blaine sighed and rested his chin in his hands and stared off into the crowd trying to spot the man.

Who was he? How did he manage to make him feel this way so easily? What did he even feel? He shook his head to get rid of the thoughts of the man, he’d probably never even see him again, he didn’t even know if he was gay, so why get all flustered?

Blaine focused on serving drinks and couldn’t wait to leave, it was 2:30am, he had a good half hour left, he didn’t want to wait, he just needed to go home and relax.

He was in the middle of arguing with another under-aged girl trying to pass off a fake I.D when a familiar voice interrupted him.

“Umm...Excuse me?”

“Go home” Blaine told the girl before turning around to be faced once again with the angelic man, a small smile appeared on his face as he noticed the huge wet mark on his shirt.

“Napkins?” Blaine guessed.

“How’d you know?” he smiled.

“Psychic.” Blaine replied handing him a handful of napkins.

“Thank God for Psychics” he said attempting to dry his shirt, giving up with an exasperated sigh when it was clear the mark was not leaving.

“Pity” Blaine said.

The man looked up raising an eyebrow “what?”

“That shirt… It looked good on you” Blaine said before he could stop himself.

“Stupid” he thought to himself.

“Thanks” the man said smiling, “I like your bowtie.”

Blaine smiled, “thanks.”

“Kurt?” a man, dressed in a white long sleeved shirt, black vest, denim jeans and a black fedora approached the bar.

“Kurt…his name was Kurt” Blaine thought to himself, glad to have a name to place with the face.

Kurt looked away from Blaine, his smile dropping slightly Blaine couldn’t help but notice.

“You ready to go babe?” he asked

“Babe?” Blaine asked himself “Babe… Of course he has a boyfriend. Of course” Blaine mentally kicked himself, leave it to him to take interest in a taken guy.

“Good going Blaine”

“Yea, sure” Kurt replied, he flashed a quick smile towards Blaine”Bye”

“Bye” Blaine replied

“Sucks…He was pretty too” a familiar voice said behind him. He thrust his elbow backwards.

“Ow! Way to great your friend who has come to rescue you” the voice teased

“Shut up Wes” Blaine grumbled…”Get me out of here”

“As you wish” Wes replied making a gesture Blaine couldn’t determine.

“What even- What was that Wes?”

“That was me granting your wish dummy” Wes replied sounded almost offended.

“With what wand?” Blaine countered.

“The one in my head” he replied.

“And you’re the straight one” Blaine commented rolling his eyes.

“Shut up Mr. Grumpy”

“Let’s just go” Blaine sighed.

Blaine nodded to the bartender who had just come in to relieve him, grabbed his keys and left.

“So” Wes began, “who’s the guy?”

Of course, Blaine had hoped Wes wouldn’t bring this up, what was he thinking?

“No one” Blaine said simply.

“Oh come on! I haven’t seen that look on your face since Adam” Wes whined.

Blaine stopped dead in his tracks.

“You promised” Blaine said, his voice turning cold, “You promised to never speak of him again”

“I’m sorry…. I just- I want you to be happy too Blaine” Wes said apologetically.

Blaine sighed and started walking,” I am happy Wes” he said, not even bothering to try and sound convincing.

“Please” Wes scoffed, “you spend all your free time locked in your room playing that depressing music on that guitar of yours, that’s not what happy people do Blaine”

“You would know” Blaine snapped

“Yes. I would” Wes replied seriously

“Right” Blaine sighed, “Don’t worry about me Wes.”

“It’s my job, you don’t know what you look like, but I do, I see how lonely you get Blaine, you can fool anyone else… but you can’t fool me, your eyes aren’t as bright as they used to be, you don’t smile like you used to.”

“Are you sure you’re straight Wes?” Blaine joked

“Quite sure” Wes said nudging Blaine in the side.

“I just want the old Blaine back, this new one kidnapped him and left him locked up in a cold dungeon somewhere far away, I don’t like the new Blaine” Wes said serious again

“You don’t have to” Blaine shrugged.

“Please. Without me you’re so lost”

“Full of it now are we?”

Wes only smiled. They had reached their shared penthouse now. Wes turned and looked dead into Blaine’s eyes.

“Promise me, you’ll try and find someone.”

“Wes…-“

“No. I’m serious… Promise?”

Blaine sighed.

“Fine. I promise….Please stop digging your nails into my shoulder now.”

“Night Blaine” Wes smiled.

“Night Wes” Blaine replied.

Blaine looked over to where the Jacuzzi was, calling him, but he was just too tired. He went straight to his room and collapsed on his bead, but try as he may, he just could not fall asleep. He could only think of the man at the bar. Kurt.

Blaine had written off being in love 3 years ago when his heart was broken in every way possible. He did not want to re-open that door, it was too painful, it wouldn’t end well, and he knows it. Plus… he was taken. Blaine sighed into his pillow. When would things ever go his way?

Blaine turned to his side and watched the rain that had begun to fall.

“Soon.” The voice in his head assured him

“Who was that?” Jake demanded.

“A bartender?” Kurt replied.

“Seemed like more” Jake said suspiciously.

“It always seems like more to you” Kurt rolled his eyes, “I don’t even know his name”

“Good.” Jake replied, pressing a light kiss to Kurt’s cheek, “goodnight then.”

“Goodnight” Kurt said.

Kurt closed his eyes, all he could see was the bartender. He was cute. He was wearing a close fitting white shirt with black pants and black suspenders, he wore a fedora but Kurt could see the curls trying to escape. Kurt couldn’t help but to wonder how it would feel to twirl one of his curls around his finger. Kurt smiled to himself, remembering the bowtie the man was wearing, it added a childlike element to the man, along with his eyes, wide and hazel, like a puppy’s, Kurt wished he could just get lost in them and never be found. He had found the man so adorably attractive that he actually spilled the water on himself, despite the fact that it physically pained him to ruin the shirt, in order to have some excuse to leave Jake and interact with this man some more.

Kurt sighed. This was wrong, he knew it, he had a boyfriend, he was happy…wasn’t he? Jake was a good guy, he was possessive and overly jealous but he was a good guy and Kurt loved him, at least he thinks he does. Happy or not, Kurt could not get the man out of his head of the past few days, he just had to go back to the bar, had to see this guy again, Kurt didn’t know what he was thinking, he felt like he was cheating in some weird way, he wasn’t cheating was he? He didn’t want to answer that. He’d go back to the bar, just to attempt to get this infatuation with this stranger out of his head, but this time…without Jake.

End Notes: So there it is..Let me know what you think...Please. :)
