Author's Notes: Who says someone only has ONE Guardian Angel :)
Kurt made his way to first period. AP Literature. Normally, he'd walk in and sit next to Mercedes, Quinn, and Artie, but today, his desk had 'mysteriously' disappeared, so he resorted to a desk far opposite his normal crowd of friends, sitting next to that weird tech-guy that seems to get off by the simple touch of a girl's skin. That was only the beginning for Kurt.

Someone in Kurt's third period class noticed how he had to stand all throughout second due to a mysterious disappearance of chairs and graciously offered-up their seat. Little did Kurt know that Rachel had paid off that person and soon, Kurt had been doped into a chair lined with Super-glue—a pair of jeans down the drain. In-between third and fourth, he got his first of three slushies that day—a swirly was even squeezed in right before the final period of the day.

Usually when a member of glee club was being harassed or picked-on, the entire club would retaliate and stand-up as a group to the perpetrators, but not this time. Every single one of his friends did nothing but stand by idly and watch—Santana managed to video tape two of the three slushies and fully planned on featuring them on her YouTube channel. By the time the final bell of the day rang, Kurt had almost reached his breaking point.

He ran out of McKinley as fast as possibly, not hesitating a moment to make sure he would avoid any on-coming harassments. He dashed out the building, car keys in-hand, to the place his car had been parked that morning except there was one problem: his car wasn't there—at least the part that was needed to actually drive the machine. That's right, Rachel had managed to buy someone else out to go out to Kurt's car and take all of his wheels off of his car.

Kurt didn't waste any more time in the parking lot. Seeing as his car was inoperable and as his brother hated him, he just started walking home. His long, ten and a half mile walk. A mile or so in, he stopped and tried calling Burt or Carole, but both phones went straight to their respective voicemails. He sent them a group text, asking if one of them could call him back as soon as possible. He had a while and searched through his bag.

Oh where the hell...god, I swear I had them in third....fucking great. No headphones. Someone probably jacked those as well. AWESOME. Fucking great. Well that bitch really knows how to fight.

Kurt started tearing up and walked for a little until he heard a familiar voice.

"Hey, you need a ride?"

He looked over to find one Sam Evans and his little Ford pick-up truck. Sam noticed Kurt's fresh tear-stained cheeks.

"Hey, man, don't let those people get to you. They're just a bunch of assholes and they actually don't know any better."

"Oh, haha, we are way past the point of letting it get to me or this being deemed a work of assholes," Kurt laughed bitterly. "Do you have any idea how much of an outcast they made me feel today?! Of all people, the outcasts-outcasting a fellow outcast. I mean, really Sam! Who paid you to come here and what did they want you to do to me?"

"Rachel," Sam said, stoically.

Kurt bitterly chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Of-fucking-course. That bitch."

"What? Come on Kurt. Hop in; I SWEAR I'm not going to do anything but take you home. That's it."

But Kurt didn't hear Sam. He was too preoccupied with his own thoughts of the matter.

"That fucking low-down, good for nothing, pig-stealing, whore-faced, mother of the infant toad, granny-panties WHOREBAG. She knew I liked you for the longest time and..."

"Wait what?!"

"...wanted to leave you for last to put the icing on the cake; the best ending to my GRAND-of-a-day from Hell." Kurt said, obviously frustrated. He turned to Sam with a sour look in his eye.

"What'd she want you to do, huh? Take off your clothes for me; hell, she knew I loved your body and that because you'd do anything for money, she'd pay you to prostitute for me until you lured me into this false-hope of your sexuality only to crush me and my dreams once again. Fucking great, that whore," Kurt said as he flung his hands in the hair.

Sam pulled over and turned off his car. He got out of the truck, slamming the door before pushing Kurt over onto the ground.

"Oh great, yes, beat me up. That's a better tactic; very original. Well, could you do the left side for me so at least I'll have an even amount of bruising," Kurt said, turning his cheek to give Sam an open target and free range to swing.

"Dude, what the hell is your problem?!"

"You know, it's really not my—"

"No! Just shut the hell up for once!" Sam screamed. Kurt was taken aback for a second. Sam was many things, but Kurt didn't think he ever had it in him to fully demand something so passionately.

"Why can't you just stop for one second and see that I'm trying to help you. I get that your day sucked—believe me I get that. If this had happened to me, I'd probably be in the same, maybe even worse, state. But stop for one second and let me explain. Rachel told me everything—she told me everything that a bestfriend shouldn't tell. All of the...things you liked about me."

Kurt got so extremely bright red at that instant that you would have thought he had been severely sun burnt.

"And though I am extremely honored and flattered, I think we've gone over that before."

A nice side note. Remember when Kurt said his first crush was on a straight guy, Finn? Yeah, his second was on another one—Sam.

"Yes, yes, I know. What's your point?"

"My point is that what she wanted me to do was almost the exact thing you said—she wanted me to trick you back into liking me because apparently she knows about a boy that actually likes you back and wants to separate the two of you..."

Kurt stayed red, but now out of extreme anger

"Because she wants to make you hurt for 'what you did to her.' Which was what? Probably calling her a name?"

Kurt nodded

"Well fuck her for her double standards and not wanting you to be happy with someone. But about that—that's awesome, bro! I couldn't be happier for you and I hope you'd feel comfortable enough to invite him to hangout with us sometime. Now whatever thing you have with Rachel, that's both of your guys' business. But what she did was so wrong—she made your business everyone else's business. And no amount of money would make me break apart or choose between friendships."

Kurt couldn't help but admire the character that was Sam Evans.

"I—I don't know what to say. I guess a 'Sorry' to start."

"Stop. Don't be. I told you, I understand. I just...really needed you to listen. Sorry about pushing you—I figured it would make you stop talking for a second."

"No harm done, I deserved that, I suppose. Uhm, ..."

Kurt now couldn't help but let the tears come streaming down his cheeks.

"I...I don't think you understand how much I appreciate what you just did and said. I had thought she turned...everybody against me. It's ...it's just nice to see that some are immune to her guile."

"Well, I have to give it to her—she is quite the actress and drama queen that she can embellish on most everything, but there's one thing that has taught me to look through all that bullshit—dating Quinn Fabray."

Kurt snorted.

"Dude you DO-NOT-EVEN understand. That chick is the master of psychotic. She can do and say and manipulate anything. The only person perhaps crazier than Rachel Berry."

"Touch," Kurt replied.

"Now if you wouldn't mind, I'd REALLY love to get in the car and drive you home before I freeze my ass off any longer."

They both jumped into Sam's truck and Sam let Kurt vent about his hell of a day. Kurt was just glad there was someone aside from his parents that would take or, at the very least, see his side.

"So how exactly did she do it, Sam?" Kurt asked. She being Rachel and it being manipulate everyone to go against Kurt.

"Well...sadly people are dumb. Finn's kind of a no-brainer since they're a thing. But everyone else she lied and told that you were blackmailing her—saying you had a 'very personal' video of hers that you'd expose to the Internet if she applied to the school you wanted to go to next year."

"W-H-A-T?!?!?!?!" Kurt boomed. "THAT'S SO RIDICULOUS!!!"

"Yeah, I know. The sad part is, most people believed it. I heard it and I knew it wasn't you. And you know, the really mature thing of people to do was nod, walk away, and ask you what was going on, but they just went ahead and believed her—and if there is anything that being in a relationship with Quinn Fabray has taught me, it's that you should ALWAYS get a second opinion on everything."

"You know, if I wasn't deeply falling for someone already, and if we had more of the same interests, and if you were playing for my team—I would have kissed you right now."
Sam laughed. "Hey, just the best person that a person can be."

They pulled up in-front of Kurt's house.

"Thanks, Sam. So...does this mean we're officially...what's the word for it..."

"Bros?"

"Yeah...bros?"

Sam laughed and nodded. He then reached out with a fist.

"Bros."

Kurt sat there, perplexed for a minute. "uhhh..."

"It's a fist bump."

"That's an actual thing?!"

"Haha, yeah. Look just do this," Sam said, taking one of Kurt's hands, transforming it into a fist and gently tapping it against Sam's. "Haha, we'll work on it."

"Yes, haha, we should. Alright. I'll see you tomorrow!" Kurt said and waved as he made his way up to the front door.

When a lot of people make you lose faith in humanity, all it really takes is for that one person to come along and everything seems restored. Thank you, Sam Evans. I can't wait to tell Blaine about my day.
