CHAPTER 2
He got out of the house and started his walk towards the end of the forest. He knew his parents wanted him to already propose to Quinn. They were telling him every day at dinner that he had to go and pick out a ring because he wasn't getting any younger and that Quinn deserved to be engaged formally by now. He knew he had to go and buy a ring but he just couldn't get himself to do it. He always knew he was different; he didn't like girls the way his other friends and classmates at school did. But he realized it until he started to develop a crush. But it wasn't a normal crush he had a crush on a boy. But of course he couldn't say anything to anyone, well maybe to Quinn but he still didn't know. He was so lost in thought that he hadn't even realized that he had arrived to the end of the forest.
The pond was still the same but when he looked up there wasn't the usual brick wall, instead there was just a huge fence of barbed wire. He could see what he hadn't been able to see years before. There were these enormous warehouses with a giant tower. Every single acre of this place was fenced by the barbed wire. There were security men everywhere. But mostly in the front where a big gate was and there were lots of guards in between the warehouses. What are those warehouses for? Why were they hidden behind a brick wall? Why did they destroy that wall in the first case?
He moved closer and closer to the fence... was that a person sitting near the fence? As he moved closer and tried to get a better look he heard his name been called at the front of the forest. It was Quinn, she was here and he had to go back to her. Because if he didn't she would come to him and he couldn't risk it.
He started walking back to the front of the forest and glanced back, he would come back and find out what was it with that field. He didn't know when or how but he would try his best to come back and ask SOMEONE, ANYONE what was going on there. He knew he couldn't risk everything by asking his father because if he did his father would ask him a bunch of questions he didn't have answers to. Like what was he doing at the end of the forest, and why was he wondering around without permission and a lot of other questions he wasn't going to answer, so he had to find out all by himself.
