Chapter 4

While he and Kurt were making out, Blaine came to a stark realization- yesterday he and Kurt were best friends. Nothing more, nothing less. Today, what were they? Kurt had just given him a goddamn blowjob, and they had their first kiss, what, like two hours ago? Blaine froze, and pulled away from Kurt.

“Kurt…” Blaine said, sitting criss-cross, “I don’t think I can do this. At least not right now.” He ran his hands through his hair. “Not until I figure out what’s going on.” With that, he got up and grabbed his bag.

Blaine was about to turn the knob on the door when he heard Kurt start to speak. “Blaine, wait. We need to talk about this. Do you wanna go get coffee or something? Since it’s only second period, nobody will know we’re missing.” Blaine nodded, and Kurt wordlessly grabbed his leather shoulder bag and made his way to the door.

When the pair paid for their coffees at the Lima Bean, they sat down, and were silent for a few minutes. Kurt finally broke the silence, “After all that, you have nothing to say?”

Blaine looked up from the coffee he had been staring down into for the past two minutes. “Kurt..look. I just, I don’t get what’s going on. Yesterday we were best friends, and today we’re giving each other blowjobs?” Blaine whispered the “blowjobs.” “I know it’s too late for this, but I don’t want to ruin our friendship. I don’t want to make things awkward for us. I think maybe we should stop this in its tracks, so-,”

Kurt interrupted, “I know. I thought the same thing right after it happened. I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have moved that fast, it was so uncalled for. But, I don’t want to stop. I like you, Blaine. Don’t you like me, too?”

“Of course I like you, silly! I’ve always liked you. You’re gorgeous, you’re smart, funny, nice, you have an amazing voice-,” Blaine stopped when he saw Kurt blushing and looking down, embarrassed. “Really, Kurt, you’re amazing,” Blaine continued, lifting up Kurt’s head with his finger.

“Okay, okay, if we’re not gonna continue with this, you can’t be doing that,” Kurt said, giggling.

Blaine laughed. “Look, I don’t want to stop either. How about we make an agreement. If things get weird, let’s promise to always be friends, okay?”

Kurt nodded, and one of the Lima Bean baristas came over to check up on them. “How you guys doing?” the dark-haired boy asked with a smirk. According to the tag on his hideous green apron, his name was Sebastian.

“Fine, thanks,” Blaine answered, willing him to go away with his gorgeous eyes.

“You sure? We have some great biscotti,” Sebastian winked and glanced down at his own crotch.

“Just the check, please. Thanks.” Kurt interjected sarcastically, while Blaine sat there, stunned. As Sebastian walked away, Kurt said with a smile, “God, Blaine, can’t take you anywhere without you getting hit on.”

Blaine cracked a smile, and Sebastian returned with the check in his hand. He walked away, smiling. On top of the check was a business card for the Lima Bean, with a message on the back, saying, “If you change your mind, call me.” His number was scrawled underneath.

Kurt picked it up, and his jaw dropped in disbelief. “The nerve of some people,” he muttered. Blaine left cash to pay the bill on the table, and he and Kurt walked out, hand in hand. Kurt shot Sebastian his best bitch glare from the door, but Blaine saw Kurt and tugged him out the door.
