Author's Notes: Have upped the rating due to some coarser language in this chapter ... and possibly some smut in the future if you play your cards right ;)
'Wow, that's frrrresh!' Blaine exclaimed when they were outside.

Finn hailed a cab for he and Rachel, turning to the guys to see what their plans were.

'We're probably gonna walk for a while.' Kurt said. 'If this one can stand the cold, that is.'

'I am fine.' Blaine hissed, and skipped over to Rachel to give her a warm hug. He whispered something in her ear and she giggled, waving coyly at Kurt and blowing him lots of kisses. Kurt grinned and motioned for her to get in the cab, shaking Finn's hand as he turned around.

'Really good to meet you, Finn.' He smiled.

'You too, man. Hope to see you again.' Finn said.

'Definitely.' Kurt nodded, and gently closed the cab door behind them, waving emphatically at Rachel as it slowly pulled away.

'Awwww.' Blaine swooned at his side.

'Yeah.'

'So, how many miles are you gonna make me walk to get to this comfy couch of yours?'

***

Less than twenty-five minutes later, Blaine was sitting on that very same couch with two pillows, a comforter and a brand new, still-wrapped toothbrush in his hand. Kurt prided himself on being prepared for any eventuality, even if this one had crept up on him a little.

'So you definitely have everything you need?'

'Abso...lutely.' Blaine tried to supress a yawn.

'And you're sure you don't want to borrow some of my pyjamas or something?'

'Nope. Kurt - this is more than enough, honestly.'

There he goes again, saying my name all sweetly and making me fall even more in love with him.

As if by magic, the stereo of Kurt's downstairs neighbour juddered into life below them, and Kurt's face screwed up in a fit of rage.

'Aaaaahhhhhhh, for fuck's SAKE!!!'

Blaine let out a loud, high-pitched laugh and clapped his hands over his mouth, wide-eyed.

'What?' Kurt looked shocked.

'You ... swore.' Blaine whispered, an impish grin spreading across his face.

'Yeah, well so would you if you had to put up with that at all hours of the day ...' Kurt stomped on the floor, '... and NIGHT!' and stomped some more.

'Oooh, can I play?!' Blaine giggled, and scooted over to join Kurt in all the stomping. They paused after a minute or so to see if their actions had made any difference, but the music was still blasting away below them. Kurt threw his hands into the air in disgust and then folded them huffily across his chest.

'Great. You're never gonna sleep now. I mean, I'm used to it - I can tune it out. But you're my guest, and ...'

'... Kurt.' Blaine said as gently as he could above the noise, taking hold of Kurt's wrists and unfolding his arms so that they laid against his sides. 'I'm really tired. I think I'll sleep through anything.'

'I could maybe find you ... like ... a pair of earmuffs or something.' Kurt whined miserably.

'That would look really gay.' Blaine slurred dryly, shaking his head. 'I'm not gonna do that.'

Kurt tried not to reel at that comment, although he was suddenly feeling terribly panicked. Had he honestly completely misread the signals he'd gotten from Blaine's eyes when they'd spoken these past few times?

Blaine chuckled gently to himself and let go of Kurt's wrists, stumbling back over to the couch to retrieve his shiny new toothbrush. 'Bathroom's this door, right?' he said, motioning to the one directly beside where Kurt was stood.

'Yeah.' Kurt murmured, still dazed and rooted to the spot.

'Yeah. The 'bathroom' sign was kind-of a giveaway' Blaine mused, and hiccuped loudly.

'Yeah.'

Blaine reached for the door knob and smiled as his arm brushed gently against Kurt's. 'Blaine?' Kurt found himself saying as the man passed him.

'Yes, Kurt.'

'Are you ...?'

There was a long pause.

'Gay, Kurt?'

'Mmmhmmm.'

'Yes, Kurt. G'night.'

And with that, the door closed. Kurt turned and made his way into his own room, directly beside the bathroom, and leaned his back against the door as he pushed it shut. He let out a strangled breath that he didn't even know he'd been holding.

G'night Blaine.

***

Kurt hadn't dared to leave his room again after he heard Blaine leave the bathroom. Their last conversation was still ringing in his ears, and all he could do was slump onto his bed and stare wide-eyed at the door. He eventually fell asleep, only to wake up at 3am, freezing cold from not being under any covers and desperate to use the bathroom.

He mustered up every bit if courage, wrapping himself in a thick cardigan and cursing his throbbing head, and opened his door as quietly as he possibly could. He glanced over at the couch which was just visible thanks to a small amount of moonlight filtering through the half-closed window blinds, and saw a cocooned mass which was snoring gently. He quickly slipped into the bathroom and did what he had to do.

On the way back to his room, Kurt couldn't help but tip-toe lightly over to get a closer look at his sleeping friend. Only the top of Blaine's head and his eyes were visible, and Kurt sighed quietly as he gazed at those pretty little eyelashes again. Blaine's hair had become a dishevelled mess, some curls stuck to his head, others jutting out at every angle.

Adorable.

Kurt took a small step backwards and trod on something. 'Shit!' He gasped, seeing Blaine's clothes in a heap below his foot and hoping that the small pop he'd heard wasn't something important like Blaine's phone. He quickly jumped back a little further and smacked his heel against the leg of the coffee table clumsily.

'Aaaaahhhhhh.' He hissed quietly. 'Fuck, fuck, fuckity-fuuuuck!'

Blaine stirred on the couch, letting out a faint murmur and rolling over into his pillow. Kurt stood stock still, rubbing his heel and praying that Blaine wouldn't wake up to see the weirdo grimacing over him as he slept, because that would surely scar him for life. Thankfully the snoring began again, and Kurt hobbled back to his room as quietly as possible. He put his head in his hands and winced at the pain that surged between his temples, knowing that it would be ten times worse tomorrow. Cursing his sore head and throbbing heel, he shrugged off his cardigan and crawled under his own comforter, identical to that of Sleeping Beauty in the lounge. And then he just stared at the ceiling.

What the hell am I doing?

Very cute. I giggled at Kurt's swearing when he hurt himself and trying to be quiet. It's something I would do. Lol. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Haha - yeah, same here! Thanks for letting me know what you think so far :)
