Author's Notes: So here's chapter one - enjoy :)

Ever since Kurt and Quinn had moved to London after graduating high school, they had always spent Saturday afternoons together. If it was sunny, like it was today, they'd go to Starbucks, order take out coffee and go and sit together in Hyde Park and enjoy the sunshine. If it rained, they'd sit in Starbucks in their favourite seat by the window and spend hours talking.

But it wasn't raining today, it was sunny, and they were sat outside. Well, in Quinn's case, it was more like sprawled outside in the sun, with her head resting on Kurt's lap.

Sigh.

Quinn looked up at her best friend, a concerned look crossing her delicate features.

“Are you ok my love?”

Kurt sighed again, then growled in frustration

“I just really miss him Quinn, I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it, we were together almost five years... we were going to get married, start a family!”

Quinn sat up and took his hands in hers and looked him straight in the eye

“I know you do sweetie,” she kissed him on the forehead “and I know it hurts now, but I promise you it'll get better.” she smiled “There's someone out there right now, and I'll bet he's one million times better than Francis!”

Kurt squeezed her hands

“I hope so Quinn.” he sighed again “I just really really thought he was the one you know.”

“Nonsense. I know he's out there, he's just waiting for you.”

Kurt pulled her into a tight hug

“I have no idea what I'd do without you Quinn Fabray.”

She smiled and pulled back

“Ice-cream?”

“I fucking love you!”

She giggled, and stood up, brushing any grass off her skirt before walking towards the ice-cream van with her best friend.

“... and the last person for you to meet this morning is Miss. Rachel Berry, she plays Velma, hold on one second, I'll just go find her.”

Blaine's jaw dropped, it couldn't be the Rachel Berry. Could it? His question was answered soon enough when his director returned

“Miss. Berry, this is Blaine Anderson, he's our new Billy Flynn!”

Rachel looked up at Blaine, her expression an exact mirror of his own

“Blaine!”

“Rachel! Hey!”

“Oh my goodness!” She exclaimed, pulling him into a tight hug “This is so weird, it's so great to see you again!”

“It's so great to see you again too, when was the last time we saw each other?” he responded, trying to cast his mind back

“Ten years ago, when we were waving Quinn and Kurt off at the airport when they left for London, I remember because they left the week before I moved to New York, and I've lived here ten years now.”

Blaine let out a low whistle

“Wow, has it really been ten years? Feels like yesterday.”

The brunette nodded

“Tell me about it!”

There was a short pause while the two friends thought back to the day they had last seen each other, it was interrupted by Blaine

“Have you... have you heard from Kurt at all?”

Rachel shook her head

“No, but I do know that he still lives in London, and that he recently took his own fashion label international, hold on one second...” she rummaged in her purple oversized handbag that was thrown over her shoulder “Here,” she pulled out a copy of Vogue and flipped to the right page “there's a feature on him, he's not changed much has he?”

Blaine started at Kurt's face smiling back at him, once again finding himself lost in those clear blue eyes again

“No, he hasn't... I mean wow, yeah, he's doing really well for himself” he added

Rachel tilted her head to the side and looked at Blaine

“You miss him.” it wasn't a question

Blaine sighed

“Every minute, of every hour, of every single stinking day.” he shook his head “If only I'd had the courage to tell him in high school how I really felt instead of pushing him away. Maybe...”

Rachel rubbed his arm

“He would have still gone to London”

“I know.”

“You have a little bit of ice-cream, riiiight,” Kurt dabbed a bit of ice-cream on Quinn's nose “there.”

The blonde woman pulled a face at him before bursting out laughing

“You will pay for that Hummel!”

“Only if you can catch me!” replied his sing songy voice before he ran away from where Quinn was standing, wiping the ice-cream off her nose.

Quinn laughed as she chased after her best friend, thinking secretly that even though she was the happiest she'd ever been in her entire life right now, she was missing that one tiny little thing that would make her even happier.
