January 18

Hey, wanna hang out today?
What!?
I'm just trying to make things better... but if you don't want to, then okay.
Oh I... yeah.
Sorry.
I would like to get together. Yes.
Okay... meet you at Starbucks? I miss just hanging out with you.
Okay. Starbucks is good. I miss hanging out with you too.
See you soon.
Okay.

Kurt walks into Starbucks, standing in line and looking around.
Blaine is already in line, next at the counter. The person ahead of him moves to the side, and he stepped forward.
"Hi! Could I get a medium drip, just plain, and a nonfat mocha?"
Blaine turns around to glance behind himself and spots Kurt. He turns completely around, a soft smile forming on his lips as he moves down the counter to wait for the drinks.
When Kurt hears what's being ordered, he blinks and looks more closely, seeing Blaine. He offers a small smile himself, stepping out of line and walking to the end of the counter where Blaine is.
"You remember my coffee order."
"Of course I remember your coffee order."
"You're amazing."
"Nah. I'm not that great."
"Don't say that."
"I only remembered a coffee order."
"It meant something to me, okay?"
"It meant something to me that you came to my apartment yesterday."
"I'm sorry about... everything."
Blaine shakes his head and looks at the floor.
"No, it's okay."
"We have a bit to go before it's okay."
"...I know."
"Oh, there's the coffee. Shall we sit?"
"Of course."
Blaine takes the two cups and motions for Kurt to find a table.
Kurt walks towards a free table, sitting down.
Blaine smiles and sets Kurt's cup down in front of him.
"Grande nonfat mocha, sir?"
He smirks before sitting down with his own drink.
Kurt smiles and tries to hold in a giggle.
"Why thank you, sir."
"Of course, any time. Are you hiring a butler, by chance?"
"No, sorry. But I am looking for someone special to spend time with."
Blaine blushes and attempts poorly to hold back a smile.
"...I can probably do that too."
"I'd like that. You're the best applicant."
"I don't even remember applying."
"It was a while back. I'm not surprised you don't remember. I hold applications for a long time."
"So you're still hiring then, someone to spend time with?"
"Yeah. Are you still interested?"
"Very. I mean, yes."
"Well then do you mind if we do a little impromptu interview now?"
"Oh, sure. I don't have any phone numbers for references or anything, but that shouldn't matter."
"Okay. That's alright, we can figure out references later. First question. Your idea of the perfect afternoon spent together."
"Hmm. Well, it starts off with coffee. And, as I'd be the special someone, I'd just go ahead and remember your drink order and pick it up before you got to the coffee shop. Then we'd chat for a bit about random things, that probably aren't actually that random, and then we'd go for a walk in the park. At dusk so that the twinkle lights come on, because it's just so pretty when they do."
"Very nice. And say I was upset one day. What would you do?"
"I'd buy you a slice of cheesecake and bring it to you with flowers. Daisies probably. And then, I'd ask you if you wanted a hug. If you didn't then that's okay too. But I'd probably sing to you. Maybe something Buble."
"Mhm. Your idea of the perfect gift?"
"A kiss. -Or something handmade. Like maybe a jar with a hundred tiny little origami snowflakes inside."
"What if something happened and we weren't okay with each other?"
"I would make sure that you know that I wouldn't be going anywhere. That I would wait for you until the end of time. That my heart... still explodes when I see you. And that nothing is ever going to change that. Ever."
Kurt blinks rapidly.
"A-and... if I have to run?"
"It doesn't matter because I'm still going to love you more than anything or anyone."
"You... where do you see the two of us in a year, provided I hire you?"
"Sitting right here having coffee together and talking about how we met, and how we saved each other. And how ...beautiful... and perfect you are."
"What comes to your mind when I say... curls?"
"Gel."
"Did you know I hate gel?"
"Did you notice I don't have any in my hair?"
"I did. I only have one more question for you."
"Alright. I think I can handle it."'
"What happens if I... fall in love with you?"
"Then we'd be even."
"I think I'm going to hire you on the spot. If you'll accept the offer."
"I gladly accept. Do I.. do I call you 'boss' then?"
"Great! Um... no. You call me... Kurtlet."
"Only if you call me Blainey."
"Done. I think today is your first day on the job."
"Oh! I'm not even dressed the part!"
"You look perfect. Especially in that bowtie. A perfect Grasshopper."
"No, no. You're the perfect Grasshopper. Could I, maybe take you for that walk in the park now? I mean, if you want."
"No, you. And yes. Please. I'd love that."
Shaking his head, Blaine stands and extends his hand out to Kurt.
Kurt takes Blaine's hand and lets him help him stand up, smiling.
"Shall we?"
"We shall."
Blaine moves to let his fingers intertwine with Kurts, but stops himself.
Kurt glances down at Blaine's hand.
"Are you..."
"...I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Um. I kind of... want to hold your hand."
"Really? I mean, so do I."
"Then go ahead."
Blaine lets his fingers weave into Kurt's, trying not to appear in a state of relief.
Kurt tightens his fingers around Blaine's, offering a small smile.
Blaine squeezes Kurt's hand a little bit and leads him out of the coffee shop and across the street to the park.
"I'm really glad."
"So am I."
"I really missed you."
"I was hoping you'd say that."
"Of course. I've always missed you. I just got... upset."
"I'm sorry... that I upset you."
"I upset myself."
"But, it's okay. I'm not... mad or anything."
Blaine subconsciously holds onto Kurt's hand a little tighter.
"I'm sorry."
"No, don't be sorry. It's okay. I understand."
"Please just accept my apology."
"Of course I accept your apology, I... how can I not?"
"I'm sorry I kept running. I'm sorry I got scared. I'm sorry I said things."
"Kurt. I forgive you. I will always forgive you. You could... I don't know... rob my apartment and I'd forgive you. You could do anything and I would alway... always... forgive you."
"I love you."
"I love you."
"Can we be okay?"
"Yes please. Actually, I don't want anything more than that."
"I'm so happy. I don't want anything else. Just us."
"Really?"
"Yeah. You're my favourite."
"You're my everything."
"My teenage dream."
"My missing puzzle piece."
"My Blainey."
"Kurtlet..."
"Mhm?"
"I never want to let you go."
"Never gonna let you."
"Promise?"
"Pinkie promise."
Kurt stops and brings his free hand up, pinkie stretched out.
Blaine doesn't let go of Kurt's hand and brings his own free hand up, turning so that he's facing Kurt and locking his pinky with the other's. He doesn't let go of Kurt's pinky, and stares right up into his eyes.
Not caring about anything else in the moment, Kurt leans in and presses his lips to Blaine's.
With the tiniest gasp of air, Blaine presses back, kissing Kurt and pulling him close by the hands, which he pressed to his chest.
Kurt squeezes his eyes shut, pressing as close as he can to Blaine.
Blaine lets go of Kurt's hands and slides his arms around the other's waist, a sob of joy trying to sneak out of his throat.
Kurt wraps his arms around Blaine's neck.
Blaine pulls Kurt as close to him as he can, ignoring the tears that escape and run down his cheeks as he continues to kiss Kurt.
Kurt pulls back, tears falling, and tries to smile.
"People are going to stare at us."
"Oh, I'm sorry... "
"Let's go to your apartment."
Blaine raises his eyebrows.
"O-okay. We'll cut through the other side of the park."
"Quickly."
Blaine bites his lip and takes Kurt's hand again, heading through the park and to his apartment building.
"I missed you so much. Please, just..."
They're barely to Blaine's floor when he turns to Kurt, pulls him close and kisses him again, losing his balance and accidentally pushing Kurt backward toward the hallway wall.
Kurt kisses back eagerly, getting a bit desperate.
Blaine continues kissing Kurt, pulling him along the wall urgently.
Kurt breaks the kiss for a split second.
"Blaine..."
He kisses Blaine again, deepening the kiss.
Blaine lets out a soft moan, backing himself roughly into the wall next to his door and making every effort to find his keys while maintaining as much contact with Kurt as possible.
Kurt presses close to Blaine, trying to keep his hands on the other.
Blaine fumbles with his keys, breaking from Kurt's lips to kiss his neck as he blindly shoves the key in the lock and pushes the door open, turning himself and Kurt into the room and kicking the door shut. He drops his keys on the floor and starts undoing buttons on Kurt's coat.
"Oh, god, Blaine!"
Kurt works frantically on Blaine's coat, a lusty look in his eyes.
"Kurt..."
Blaine slips out of his coat, tugging Kurts away from him. His hands reach up to place on either side of Kurt's face, and like a magnet, he attaches their lips again.
Kurt kisses back, cupping Blaine's face and letting out a low moan.
Pushing Kurt backwards, the back of the sofa gets in his way, and he turns, pulling Kurt along toward his bedroom.
Kurt moans his approval and shuffles along with Blaine.
Blaine backs into the doorframe, pulling Kurt into him and leaning up to kiss his neck lightly, his hands tracing down Kurt's sides.
Kurt tilts his head back, closing his eyes and wrapping his arms around Blaine's neck.
"I've missed you... so much..."
Blaine tugs at Kurt's shirt, still kissing the other's neck.
"Missed... you... too... oh god..."
Kurt pulls away from Blaine and takes his shirt off, immediately tugging at Blaine's shirt as well.
Blaine pulls his shirt over his head, tossing it wherever, and drawing closer to Kurt, lining the other's chest with kisses.
Kurt pulls back again, then leans in to press kisses along Blaine's collarbone.
Blaine's breath hitches, and his hands grip into Kurt's sides as he rests his forehead in the crook of Kurt's neck for a moment.
"Love you so much."
"Love you... so.. so mu-ch..."
"B-bed."
"Ye-es."
Blaine pulls himself away from Kurt and takes hold of the other's belt buckle, dragging him to the unmade bed.
"Have I told you how unbelievably hot you are?"
"I think I need a refresher."
"You... have the most incredible hair. The most gorgeous eyes. The most stunning smile. The sexiest body. I have ever seen."
"Did you just read my mind, because that was exactly what I was thinking about you."
Blaine crawls onto the bed and lays facing Kurt, on his side, propping himself up with one arm.
Kurt follows Blaine onto the bed and mirrors his position, smirking.
"Well, what a coincidence."
"Quite."
Tentatively, Blaine reaches across to run his finger up Kurt's arm, over his shoulder, and down his side.
Kurt shudders at Blaine's touch.
"N-not fair..."
"So fair..."
"Please, just..."
Blaine leans in close, picking up Kurt's hand and kissing it, his eyes staring up. His voice is just a whisper.
"Please what?"
Kurt only whimpers.
Blaine leans in further, kissing down Kurt's jawline and his neck, and then back up, leaving one last kiss below the other's ear.
"Tell me..."
"...You. Touch. Me."
"Like this?"
Blaine's hand traces a line down Kurt's back, flattening his palm to the other's skin when he gets about halfway, and hooking his fingers into the top of Kurt's pants when he reaches his waist.
"Ohdeargodpleaseyes."
Smirking into Kurt's neck, he nips a bit at Kurt's ear, letting his fingers slide toward the buckle he'd pulled Kurt to the room with.
"Bl-ai-ne..."
"Yes?"
Blaine pulls back to look at Kurt questioningly, his hand undoing the buckle.
"Please. More."
"Of course."

A couple of hours later, Kurt slowly wakes up, smiling at Blaine lying next to him.
Blaine lays asleep, one arm over his head, only half covered in blankets.
Kurt drapes an arm over Blaine, kissing his forehead.
Blaine stirs a tiny bit, a smile on his face.
"Hmmm?"
"Hey. Guess what?"
"Mmwhat?"
"I love you."
Though his eyes are closed, a huge smile stretches across Blaine's face.
"I love you too."
"So, we're okay?"
Blaine scoots closer to Kurt, snuggling into him.
"Mhmm."
Kurt snuggles with Blaine.
"Yay."
"All you have to say is 'yay'?"
"I'm too happy to put energy into saying something more elaborate."
"No regrets. Just love."
"You're perfect."
"Stop talking about yourself."
"I'm talking about you, silly."
"Mm-no."
"Dork."
"Ah-dork-able?"
"That would be you."
"You... you're just beautiful."
Kurt smirks.
"Stop talking about yourself."
"Stop using my own lines on me."
"Never."
Laughing, Blaine picks himself up and tickles Kurt's side.
"Fine, but you have to deal with this."
"Oh my gosh, Blaine... stop!"
Kurt giggles.
Blaine continues.
"Um, no."
"Stop before I use my knowledge of your secrets!"
Blaine laughs and moves his feet away from Kurt and continues tickling.
"Nope."
"Blainey..."
"I'm sorry, but no."
"Stop or I'll leave!"
Blaine pulls his hand back and the smile slowly fades from his face.
Once he realizes what he said, Kurt grimaces.
"No, no, I'm sorry, Blainey... I'm not going to leave..."
Blaine bites the inside of his lip and shakes his head, nodding at almost the same time.
"No, I knew that..."
"I didn't mean to..."
"It's okay."
Lifting Kurt's hand to his lips, Blaine kisses the other's knuckles.
"I don't want to leave you, ever again."
"Then don't."
"I sort of had dinner plans with Rachie..."
"She'll understand."
"You have a point."
"Though I don't have much to eat here. And I'm kind of hungry."
"You are?"
"Yeah. I have granola bars and um, baby carrots. And Rachel's gross sweet pickles and cheese whiz."
"Ugh, I know all about her weird cravings. You know how often I've had to run out and grab something she wanted?"
"Probably more often than I've had to."
"Understatement of the year. But it's Rachie so I do it anyway."
"She's a good girl. A good friend."
"She really is my best friend."
"She might actually be mine, too."
"I could see that."
"I feel so bad about the other night."
"Don't. She's practically forgotten about it."
"Well, alright. ...Are you really going to stay?"
"I... I guess I can. We should order something in."
Blaine sits up straight.
"Can we get breakfast?"
Kurt bites his lip.
"It's like 8pm."
"So?"
"And you're..."
"Hungry for pancakes?"
"Yeah. Right."
"With butter."
Blaine stretches, arms up in the air.
"And syrup."
"Oh dear god, Blaine, stop."
Blaine drops his arms and looks at Kurt.
"What?"
"You're like this perfect Adonis."
"What are you talking about?"
"Your body, it's just..."
Blaine raises his eyebrows and smirks a tiny bit, purposely stretching his arms again.
"It's what?"
"God, Blaine."
Blaine flexes, and turns so that he has to look over his shoulder at Kurt.
"Yeah?"
"I am this close..."
Blaine bites his lip.
"To what?"
"You are a complete tease."
"You didn't answer my question."
"You know what I'm talking about and it's related to how big of a tease you're being!"
"I'm sorry, I'm completely unaware of what you're talking about."
"Bl-ai-ney..."
Shaking his head, Blaine drops his arms and lays back down on his side of the bed, pulling the covers up to his neck, looking to Kurt expectantly.
Kurt opens his mouth to speak when he hears "Don't Rain on My Parade" playing.
"Rach. Shoot. Sorry."
Blaine sighs and pulls the covers over his head.
Kurt gets out of bed and finds his jeans, pulling out his phone.
~"Hey Rachie. Yeah? Uh huh... mhm... okay. Alright. I'm with Blaine right now, Rach... yeah, but- ...Rach... Yeah. Okay. Yeah, see you soon. Love you. Mwah."~
He looks over at Blaine.
"I need to go home."
Blaine stays under the covers.
"Oh."
"I'm sorry. I'll text you."
"...Okay."
"I love you."
"I love you."
Kurt quickly gets dressed and blows a kiss in Blaine's direction before walking out of the bedroom and out of the apartment.
Blaine lays in his bed for a long while, eventually rolling out of it to find his phone.
