Tina wasn't really sure if she'd ever seen Blaine this upset. The last few weeks he'd been so distraught. Not paying attention in class, not putting his all into glee club like he used to. And after asking him several times what was going on and not getting a response, she finally decided to take things into her own hands.
Blaine was getting the rest of his things to fit into his bookbag that was completely stuffed full of books and folders. Looking really frustrated not being able to fit everything into it. He slammed his locker closed and flinched when the small frame in his locker fell, it was the only one in there and it had a picture of him and Kurt from Kurt's senior prom. He winced at the thought of the broken frame and immediately unlocked his locker and found that the picture frame was safely laying picture-up in his locker. He picked it up and placed it back nicely where it was, and closed his locker more gently than it had been previously slammed.
He sighed and walked out to his car and got in, he'd found himself here so many times. SItting in his car in the McKinely parking lot in tears. The first time being before he'd even started going to McKinely, when Kurt was in New York for nationals, he didn't know what had snapped in him but he'd decided to sit in the parking lot, as if he were waiting for Kurt to come outside and he could drive him to get some coffee, but he didn't come and Blaine spend his afternoon crying in the front seat of his car. Now he was spending his night like this again. But this time it was different, Kurt wasn't coming home in a few days.
He wasn't coming home.
He stared out the window wishing Kurt could magically appear in the passenger side of the car. He closed his eyes and imagined Kurt staring over at him with his gorgeous eyes. He was interrupted by someone knocking on the passenger window. It was Tina, she had a small smile on her face and he unlocked the door for her. She got in and smiled sweetly at him. "Hey.."
He nodded his head at her "Hey."
"It's Kurt.." She sighed. She'd finally figured out why Blaine had been so on edge and upset, it was because he missed Kurt.
Blaine immediately burst into tears and just nodded his head. She'd never seen him like this before, sure he cried when Kurt sang 'I Have Nothing' to him, or even when Kurt graduated, but those were a few tears that he could wipe off of his face, this was full on sobbing. And all she could do to stop it was to hold on to him and let him sob until he couldn't anymore.
After almost ten minutes of him crying, he finally opened up his mouth to talk.
"We-e sky-most-er-ight..nd-i-i Ill mis-im -o m-much.." he cried into her shoulder.
"Sweetie, I can't understand a single thing you're saying, you need to stop and breath for a second.." she ran her hands over top of his perfectly gelled hair.
"We s-skype almost ev-every ni-ight, but I still miss him so mu-much.." He managed to get out before he ducked his head to wipe a few tears off of his face.
"I know how you feel..I miss Mike, more and more everyday, but then I remember I'll get to see him so soon." She smiled at him with tears in her eyes now. He hadn't realized that the person she loved was gone too, he was too worried about himself to realize how much pain his friend was in.
He only nodded in response.
"And before he left he gave me this.." she pulled a small necklace chain out from uner her shirt where it had fallen after wearing it all day. A small silver star that was outlined with small crystals was hanging from it. "Read it.." She turned the small star over.
'We're under the same stars.'
Blaine looked down at it, now tears coming to his eyes again. He'd realized that Kurt wasn't that far away. That made him smile. It felt good to smile for the first time in what had felt like forever.
He would get to see Kurt again, and he was going to make sure of it.
