Blaine stood talking to Trent, Thad and a few other various Warblers in the commons room, waiting for school to actually begin. He looked through the corner of his eye to see his boyfriend of only a few weeks walk past him. His heart flipped in his chest at the thought of Kurt's blue eyes and perfectly styled hair. He excused himself from his group of friends to walk over to the brunette.
"Hi." Kurt said, looking up to meet Blaine's eyes.
"When did you get here?" Blaine questioned.
"I just came down a few minutes ago." He responded with a small smile, pulling out a small paper plate from the bag he had and handing it to Blaine. "Happy valentines day."
Blaine examined the peanut butter cookes on the plate with a small smile. "Thank you." He could see Kurt's cheeks warming. "But I didn't get you anything, I'm so sorry. I was busy with all of this homework and then Wes and David needed help with some choreography for the next competition and-"
"It's okay." Kurt breathed out with a smile. "I wasn't expecting anything, I was just making these last night to send to Finn, because I promised I would, and I decided to make a few for you too."
Blaine smiled, fingers tapping against his leg, his hand that wasn't occupied by a plate in his pocket.
He went on with the rest of his morning the way he and Kurt had gotten into the routine of the last few weeks. He walked with Kurt to his AP history class and dropped him off at the door with a kiss, something they'd recently decided that they loved.
Kurt sat the rest of the day dodging the questions, from the Dalton boys that knew that he and Blaine were together, about what Blaine had gotten him for valentines day. It wasn't that he was upset, he was just a little embarassed that he'd given Blaine something. He questioned if it were too soon in their relationship for that.
He tried his best to push the doubtful thoughts out of his head all day.
By the time the seventh bell rang, Kurt had basically pushed all of the negativitiy out of his mind, just in time to be greated by Blaine, who was leaning against Kurt's locker with a smile on his face.
"How are you here already?" he laughed a little, "Class just got out two minutes ago!"
"It got dismissed a little early." Blaine smiled charmingly and moved out of Kurt's way so that he could open his locker. He watched carefully as Kurt worked the numbers on the metal lock. Kurt chose to ignore the looks and not say anything to Blaine, who he knew was watching him. He pulled on the lock and held the lock when he opened the locker.
Inside, sat a small red teddy bear holding a stuffed heart, and a heart shaped box full of his favorite candy, M&M's. Kurt looked over at Blaine who had both of his hands stuffed in his pockets, his eyes on his shoes.
"You did this?" Kurt smiled.
Blaine nodded sheepishly. "I was kind of lying when I said I didn't get you anything."
"It's fine. I- Just thank you." Kurt smiled, wrapping his arms around Blaine's neck in an embrace. They only pulled away, long enough for Kurt to kiss Blaine before packing up the rest of his things.
Blaine walked Kurt back to his dorm and smiled. "Happy valentines day."
Kurt only responded with a kiss.
