Blaine straightened his bowtie one final time, looking in the mirror, shooting himself a 'you can do this!' look. He got out of his car temporarily reconsidering his idea to do this. He sighed one more time before walking towards the back of the seating, head bowed. He couldn't afford to get caught.
When the invitation for the wedding showed up in his mailbox it seemed like the world stopped. Nothing had ever hurt so bad.
He was wrong. When he got the call from Kurt saying that his fiance didn't really want one of their exes to be there, it hurt worse. But Kurt promised to keep in touch. And he did. Calling him maybe once a week, and they would try to talk about things other than the wedding , or Kurt's fiance, or Blaine's lack of a love life after he and Kurt had broken up more than two years ago.
Not once in his life did he think he would ever be attending Kurt Hummel's wedding. Going as the groom? Yes. Attending univited? Never.
He watched as old members of the glee club walked down the aisle. The girls wearing gorgeous strapless sky blue dresses that flowed past their knees. He was sure Kurt had designed them himself. The guys wearing simple black tuxedos with the same shade of sky blue as the girls dresses on their ties.
A few people walked down with the people that Blaine wasn't familiar with. They must have been his family. Blaine rolled his eyes. He watches as Robert or Robbie, as Kurt had talked about what seemed like a million times over the last six months, alked down the middle of the aisle.
He looked pathetic. Not good enough for Kurt. But he was pretty sure he wasn't either.
Kurt came next. Blaine was pretty sure he'd felt his jaw drop to the ground. He'd never seen him look anymore gorgeous than he did right then. He felt the tears begin in his eyes and he almost stood up to leave.
He sat with his fists clenched when he watched Robbie grab Kurt's hand once he was up to the front. Infact, he sat with his fists clenched the entire ceremony.
He watched as they exchanged glances. He felt like his heart was breaking.
The ringing in his ears was almost too loud to hear when the officiant asked if anyone objected. He stood, hands shaking.
"I do." His voice was barely above a whisper.
