It starts when he starts when he starts helping Kurt get ready for his first fashion week. He doesn't have enough time to eat. No big deal.
And then finals begin and studying is the only thing he ever finds himself doing. Kurt calls and texts him constantly because they don't even see each other between their schedules. And every time they texts, he asks him if he's eaten that day. Most of the time Blaine can honestly say he has, but probably not as much as he should be eating.
Then he gets cast in a show, but he's not too concerned because Kurt's doing the costuming for it, so they'll see each other even if Kurt has to work at vogue during the day. But when rehearsals hit full schedule, he's too busy to think about getting something to eat. Or laying down and sleeping for a few hours.
He probably should have considered it.
The choreographer showed up to rehearsal warmed up and ready to begin, along with the rest of the cast. They lined the stage, already streched out, and ready to dance.
Kurt sat off stage sewing the final pieces on one of the costumes he'd only drawn a week earlier.
The first song she wanted to start was the huge opnening number, where Blaine would be the lead of the entire song and the dancing involved in it.
He runs through the step and Kurt watches him with a smile, gushing over the curly haired man. He draws his attention back to the costume he's working on. Pulling the threads and stitching the colors togth-
THUMP.
Kurt looked up to see the entire cast crowded around something. The entire cast exept for Blaine. He stood, attempting to get a better look at what they were all looking at. He walked a little closer to the stage slowly, taking in what was going on. A small space opened between two of the cast memebers and he could see in well enough to see that Blaine was the one lying on the stage.
His heart started racing faster than he was sure it'd ever had. He walked quickly in what he was sure were huge strides up to the stage. He wasn't sure when it had happened, but he was down by Blaine's side, his hand on the younger man's forehead.
"Blaine..Come on babe.."
A few people push past him, claiming that their brother went to med school and knows about these things. Kurt rolls his eyes.
But the longer his boyfriend lays looking unconsious on the floor the more his heart races, getting more and more nervous that this must be serious.
His heart beats faster when Blaine opens his eyes and looks around the room, eyes huge.
"Kurt." He asks, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I'm right here." He puts his hand on the curly haired man's cheek.
"I'm really tired." He says, a small smile gracing his lips.
"I'm sure.. We're gonna take you home and get you something to eat, and then you can sleep as long as you need." Kurt ignores the look he's probably getting from the director, standing a few feet away.
"Sounds good." He sits up slowly. Thanking a few of his cast mates for helping him out, although Kurt knows they didn't really do anything to help him.
"You really scared me you know." Kurt breaks the silence for the first time in a few minutes that they've been on the subway on the way back to their apartment. They sat with their fingers laced and Blaine's head on Kurt's shoulder, half asleep.
"I'm sorry.." Blaine mumbled sleepily. "Wont happen again."
