Kurt walked into the Anderson house quietly after being let in by Blaine's lovely mother. She hugged Kurt as soon as he opened the door and thanked him for taking care of Blaine so well the night before. When in all reality he felled like he didn't do everything he could have to protect him. But there wasn't much to do when Blaine was only trying to protect him.
She told him that Blaine was back in his room hopefully sleeping. She informed him that all night he was awake in the emergency room yelling at her because she'd told Kurt to go home and get some rest because there was school in the morning. He laughed at her upon hearing this.
"He has to be pretty worn out from that.." She laughed lightly. "And even when we did get home, he was still in quite a bit of pain, so I'm not sure how much sleep he actually got.." She sighed.
Kurt nodded and made his way back to Blaine's bedroom and looked in the doorway. He was stirring in his sleep mumbling.
"S-Stop." He pushed the blankets off of himself as if he was pushing another person. "Get offa me." He mumbled.
Kurt walked in closer to his bed, almost stopping him. "Blaine, your just dreaming wake u-"
"Stop! That hurts!" He practically started screaming. Before Kurt could reach down to tap him awake he was being swung at, Blaine's fist felt like it was coming at him and a thousand miles and hour. "Don't touch him!" He remained silent for a few seconds before he started speaking again." No, Kurt run!"
Kurt reached down and restrained Blaine's arm that was swinging. And used his free hand to gently stroke Blaine's face. "Blaine..Wake up.."
Blaine's eye opened slowly to see Kurt still holding his arm down. "Oh god..I tried to hit you..Didn't I?"
Kurt let go of his arm. "It's okay..You were dreaming.."
"It's not okay..I almost hit you.." Kurt could see the tears welling up in Blaine's eye that was not covered by the eye patch.
"Don't cry.." Kurt stroked his cheek.
"How am I not supposed to cry?! I almost hit you.." He shook his head like he couldn't even fathom the idea of what he'd just done.
Kurt climbed on top of the bed and sat next to Blaine and looked at him. "What were you dreaming about?"
"What?" Blaine looked up at him, from where he'd been previously looking at his fingers trying to stop the tears that were springing to his eyes.
"What were you dreaming about?"
"The dance.." Blaine said so quiet Kurt could harely hear it.
"The Sadie Hawkins dance?" The words made Blaine tense up immediately, he nodded his head solemnly.
"Except this time.. Sebastian's there..And he's doing the same things as all of them..Kicking me..And spitting on me..And calling me those names.." He shook his head as if wanting to erase the memory. "And then you're there, your standing watching, screaming at them to stop, screaming for help. And I look up at you and you're crying just screaming for someone to help. And then they go after you..And I just I want you to run and-" Now he couldn't stop the tears that were coming down his face. Kurt wipes them off with the pad of his thumb and kisses Blaine gently on the head.
"Shh, it's okay, I'm here now, and we're both okay.."
"But what if this would have been you?" he gestured to his eye. "I couldn't have forgiven myself.."
"But you did, and you were beyond strong and amazing. And I love you.."
"I love you too but mmph-" Kurt cut Blaine off by kissing him.
"No more but's..I love you..And I want you to start feeling better..Try to get some sleep.."
"Are you gonna stay here with me?"
"I won't go anywhere.." Kurt adjusted himself to where Blaine could lay his head on his chest. He leaned down and kissed Blaine on the top of his head, holding his hand while Blaine started to drift off to sleep.
