The day went beautifully.
The sky was the perfect shade of blue with only a few puffy white clouds. The chairs had been lined up in exact rows all facing the simple arch that Kurt and Blaine stood under.
Their friends and families shed a few tears as they shared words of love. Hand held tight, both of them looked each other in the eyes and slid rings onto their fingers. After they were declared husbands they shared a sweet kiss, smiling brightly at each other as they separated.
Kurt had spend month planning their reception. They were in a small museum in New York City that was decorated in turquoise, navy and grey. A DJ played their favorite songs and waiters weaved through the crowd passing out cocktails.
“This is perfect,” Kurt smiled at his new husband as they danced slowly to a slower version of Teenaged Dream.
“You’re perfect,” Blaine grinned and kissed him sweetly.
They both hummed softly to each other before a bundle of energy slammed into their legs.
“Uncle Blaine! Uncle Kurt!” The four year old shrieked excitedly. “There’s cake! CAKE!”
“I know bud,” Blaine picked up his nephew. “We got that just for you, you know?”
“Really?” His bright blue eyes widened with excitement.
“Really,” Kurt agreed, ruffling his curly hair. “Maybe you can go ask your daddy and he can get you a piece when we cut it. I would keep asking again and again.”
“Will!” Cooper sighed, looking relieved. “Sorry guys. He insists on running off while Amy and I have our backs turned.”
“It’s fine,” Blaine pressed a kiss to Will’s cheek and handed him off to his father.
“Can we get cake daddy?” Will asked excitedly. “Please, please, please.”
“Right now Uncles Blaine and Kurt and having their dance okay? They’ll cut the cake soon enough,” Cooper shrugged at the photographer who looked peeved that the first dance had been interrupted.
“Please, please, please, please,” Will continued to beg.
“Have fun with that,” Kurt laughed and took his husband’s hands as they started their dance again.
Their guests cheered as the dance was finished and they kissed again.
“Well I want one of the…what was it?...crispy filo triangles with spinach and feta cheese with tomato-oregano relish or a seared bay scallop crostini with minted pea puree because I spent way too much on them and need to eat like thirty in order to get my money’s worth,” Blaine laughed as they stepped off the dance floor.
“Would you rather I had gone with Puck and Finn’s suggestions? Bagel bites and popcorn chicken?” Kurt pushed his shoulder lightly.
“That’s right. We’re classy,” Blaine snatched two glasses of champagne and handed one to Kurt. “To the classiest, most attractive couple in New York. The Hummel-Andersons.”
“Such a lovely toast sweetheart,” Kurt rolled his eyes and took a long drink.
“Only for you,” Blaine laughed.
Within moments some of Blaine’s family members pulled him away and Kurt was left alone.
“Take a look at all those presents,” Santana wrapped an arm around his neck, motioning to the huge stack of gifts. “That’s really why you got married huh?”
“For all the stand mixers and toasters,” Kurt nodded.
“Oh…that’s what we were supposed to get?” She raised her eyebrows. “Well. My gift is from the heart. And I even included batteries. You can thank me after the honeymoon.”
“God,” Kurt rolled his eyes and smiled warmly.
“Plus there’s another part of the gift that Puckerman got you,” She looked over all the presents and picked up one wrapped in simple brown paper. “What the hell is this? I had to go out and buy fancy ass paper and this jerk can’t be bothered?”
“Be nice,” Kurt nudged her and took the gift from her, turning it over in his hands. It was very simple, just plain brown paper. There wasn’t even a name written on it.
Glancing around the room, he peeled back the paper and opened the small box.
A silver pocket watch sat in the box, shining slightly. He pulled it out by the chain and held it in front of his face to read the inscription on it.
F. G.
“Where did you get that?” Blaine voice startled him and he spun around.
“Oh…it was just here,” He shrugged and Blaine snatched it out of his hands.
“That’s impossible,” He breathed, staring at it with wide eyes.
“Blaine?” The horrified look on his face scared him. “Honey, what is wrong.”
“This was destroyed in the fire,” Blaine turned wide eyes towards him. “F.G. Franklin Gallaway. I smashed it and it burned up.”
Without missing a beat, Kurt grabbed the watch and hurried out of the reception. Blaine followed closely behind him as they walked out onto the small grassy area facing the river.
Kurt let out a shout and threw the watch into the river, making it splash and vanish. With a soft whimper, Blaine grabbed his arm.
“Fuck him!” Kurt spat. “This is our wedding day! We’re married. We’re starting our life together and he does not have a place in it!”
“It’s okay.”
“It’s not okay!” Kurt fumed. “I fucking hate him. This is about us!”
In the middle of his furious rant Blaine kissed his husband passionately. They stood in the cool evening air just kissing as Kurt relaxed.
“It’s us,” Blaine whispered, gently rubbing Kurt’s wedding ring with his fingers. “It’s about us. I don’t care about anything else. This is all about us.”
“I love you,” Kurt breathed, kissing him again.
“I love you too,” Blaine grinned. “Can we go back inside? I want to enjoy a few pieces of that huge cake before we go to the hotel and I can make you come again and again until the sun rises.”
“Christ Blaine,” Kurt groaned. “You can’t just say things like that. How am I going to be able to wait a few hours?”
“There were some very large bathroom stalls upstairs,” Blaine winked getting a laugh in return.
“Race you there.”

I was waiting for Franklin to re-surface! Is there a sequel or has he left them alone now?
This was amazing, I love it so much!
:)
How the hell did that watch come back? Is that it? There should be a sequel! I loved it, I'm probably trumatized to sleep alone in the dark now lol but I loved it. When Santan said Puck got him the another part of the gift I totally thought it was something else lol
