He walked home, head held high, ignoring his phone buzzing in his pocket. It may have been selfish but whoever it was could wait. They could wait for a long time.

He walked back into his house to see his dad drop the remote at the sight of him.

“What the hell Kurt, you don’t just go out and-and do this. This isn’t you, I was worried, last night but-“

“Dad just stop,” He said calmly.

“Kurt-“ Burt warned

“No. This is me. This is who I am now, I’m going up to my room.”

He pushed past his confused and slightly aggravated father to his room, he picked up his laptop only to see a message from Rachel, probably apologizing again or something. In that moment he realized he wasn’t just sick of Lima and the image that he had made in it; he was sick of everyone. He quickly deleted his facebook as well.

An hour later there was a knock on his door,

“Dad go away,” He started but the door opened anyways, and a much shorter, bowtie clad boy was there in his place.

“Kurt?” Blaine asked, confused, and hurt-looking.

“Blaine,” he breathed.

“You didn’t answer my texts, or my calls, uh, you deleted me off facebook?”

Oh.

“No honey no, I deleted my facebook. It was a rash decision. Social media is really killing society today though, honestly,” he muttered the last part to himself. Blaine looked visibly less concerned, but still worry etched itself onto the boy’s face.

“Kurt, what is…all of this?” he inquired, waving his hand around gesturing at Kurt’s new appearance.

“It’s…me.” He replied eventually. “I needed a change. I wanted to rip my skin off, I wanted to become someone else. So I did.” He said solemnly, eyeing the ground as he spoke.

“Is this you, Kurt? Is this what you want?” Blaine asked desperately, trying to understand what was going on.

“Yes. This is what I want. This is who I am.” Kurt replied with an air of finality. Blaine clasped his hands together.

“Okay,” he said. “Okay?” Kurt questioned, doubtful that this would be as easy as it was turning out to be. Blaine smiled affectionately at his boyfriend; all clad in metal and hair dye, but still adorable as ever.

“Kurt I love you. All of you. You’re still Kurt. You’re just scarier-Kurt with pink hair and piercings now. Do you think I could talk you into a tongue piercing cause-“ he was silenced with a pillow to the head.

“Don’t get any ideas, Anderson.” He said with a smirk.

“Oooh Anderson, I like it. Am I going to be your embarrassingly dorky boyfriend now? ” He teased “Or are you going to make me dress in a leather jacket and get an eyebrow piercing?” Kurt laughed good-naturedly, happy that his boyfriend was so understanding.

“Please.” He says with an air of false-annoyance. “You were my embarrassingly dorky boyfriend before, and not even the coolest of eyebrow piercing could fix that.” Blaine smiled.

“But you love me anyways?” he asked.

“But I love you anyways,” Kurt confirmed with a smile.

“We really have to stop with the whole repeating each other’s sentences thing,” Blaine muttered off handedly.

“Oh shut up and kiss me.” Kurt replied.

He did.
