Kurt Hummel was dreaming of daisies and maybe puppies when his boyfriend, Justin, jostled his shoulder while sitting down on the bed beside him. Justin unfolded a newspaper and began reading off pieces that interested him. Kurt gave a huff and nudged him off of the bed with his cold toes. "Aren't you going to be late?", he asked while walking towards the bathroom. Kurt hated when Justin woke him up by reading the newspaper, he's been doing it ever since he got that news anchor job. Kurt rolled his eyes and started to brush his teeth. Justin scurried past him and placed a sloppy kiss on his cheek on his way out. "I'll be back by eight for dinner!" he yelled before he slammed the door shut. Kurt hurriedly rinsed his mouth out and rushed to look through the peephole to make sure Justin was out of the hallway. He ran towards the window and pulled the curtains to the side searching for Justin's red coat throughout the usual crowd of people on the sidewalk. Soon enough the apartment building's door opened and Justin walked out into the cold October air, Kurt held back a squeak of delight as he let go of the curtain and finally reached his laptop.

He clicked on his mail inbox and crossed his fingers while it loaded. His eyes quickly scanned through the subjects of the emails on the first page and he started to mumble them to himself absentmindedly. "Another puppy email from Rachel, a free car insurance scam, Dad telling me to take some time off again, Meet Pippin from NYwarbler, Flowers in Central Park need your hel- wait, NYwarbler!" He quickly clicked on the email titled 'Meet Pippin' and started to read enthusiastically.

Subject: Meet Pippin
From: NYwarbler

Don't you just love the Fall in New York? The colors, the leaves. My dog, Pippin, loves to trample around in freshly fallen leaves and has more than once dragged me down with him. I've learned to just go with it. Who cares if a billion strangers think I'm completely bonkers for rolling around in the park with my dog. Can't a grown man roll on leaves in peace? I'll let you in on a little secret. Sometimes I don't mind it so much when Pippin decides to pull me along. It's kind of nice, like he's trying to share his favorite activity with me. Is it strange that a dog is probably my best friend? He should be anyways, I let him hog my pillow and slobber all over the covers, I think that deserves something. Now that I have more than likely thoroughly embarrassed myself, I would like to introduce you to Pippin. Don't be thrown by his size. You're probably thinking how a little dog like him could possibly pull a grown man to the ground. Like his name sake, he may be a hobbit but he has great strength. (Also, I may be only just a little bit clumsy.)
