Blaine Anderson has lived in New York City for one year and he still constantly gets lost. It's a wonder he hasn't bumped into the whole population of the city. It doesn't help that his dog, Clinton, tries to chase every squirrel or pigeon in sight and he always manages to shake off his leash at least twice. Blaine knows how to get to the bookshop across from his apartment and he knows how to get to the coffee shop three blocks over but somehow, no matter how many times he's visited, he always manages to lose his way somewhere between his apartment and central park.

It doesn't bother him so much anymore, it used to annoy him to no end when he always arrived to important client meetings at least twenty minutes late but now he's kind of grateful for it. He probably would still be friendless in the city that never sleeps if it weren't for him bumping into people and then offering them coffee as an apology.

Wes and David were a complete coincident. He had been searching for a diner called Angie's to meet two new clients when he turned the corner and ran smack into a man's chest. That man turned out to be Wes who in turn was holding David's hand. He was on a tight schedule so he asked for directions and then passed them a business card and told them to call him when they were free for him to buy them coffee as an apology for spilling smoothie all over David's white shirt.

He met a young lady by the name of Lilly because he tripped over an edge of the sidewalk and her body sort of broke his fall. Naturally, he freaked out and started to smooth out her clothes after helping her up from the ground. While he was concentrating on smoothing out wrinkles, Lilly managed to laugh and quip that if he wanted to feel her up he could have just asked. Blaine immediately yanked his hands away from her blouse, face beet red and stammering out apologies. Lilly had just shook her wild red hair and patted his cheek sweetly with a grin. "You'll have to buy me coffee first at least!", she said. So, unable to form words, Blaine just passed over his business card and scurried off in a hurry- still tripping over his two left feet. Needless to say, Blaine had been only a bit nervous for that particular coffee date. Lilly had understood perfectly when Blaine told her that lady parts didn't appeal at all to him and now they were practically best friends.

There was one time when Blaine made a new friend that wasn't because he trampled them on a sidewalk covered in gum. It had been his birthday and Wes, David and Lilly had all coincidentally been out of town. Lonely, Blaine decided to wander into the over 20 chat room where he met the most spectacular man- BookishType.
