O.K… So – as probably many people are aware… I'm working on a Glee/THG crossover ('cause I wasn't really silent about it xD).

When will I publish it? No idea xD. It's a really, really, really long process…

I have planned all three parts I want to write… and actually written down about 1 and of them. But well… There is still my beta I need to work with and 1 story is 16 pages long and second story is already 40 pages long and I'll probably publish it in parts 'cause I don't think that anyone would be happy with a chapter having 60 pages xD.

But… I thought that I can give a small… glimpse you can say ;).

What do I mean by glimpse? Well… Glimpse to my head and my THG universe.

And what is so special about my head canon? Well… I'm not really… invested in a district twelve xD.

Well… Of course, I am invested in all these poor districts 'cause of the characters, their plotline, and I love twelve 'cause both Peeta and Katniss are from there… (don't really care about Gale, sorry that I'm not sorry :P). But my head canon is not really THAT invested in them.

Why? 'Cause we already KNOW what life in them looked like. We know that people were poor, used, exhausted, hungry, dying, treated worst than animals. And yes, of course it moves me. It made me sick to my stomach when I was reading some of the descriptions in books that showed HUGE difference between people in Capitol and most of the districts (and ugh, a scene on a ball in 'Catching Fire' when Peeta and Katniss were said to drink a special specific (drink?) that would make them vomit in order to create a place for more food… disgusting)…

But what is bothering me more is districts One and Two (and you can say that also Four, although this Fourth district seems to be more… normal, even though there were also careers from there). Why? The answer is simple – careers and their blind following of Capitols rules.

Examples? Well… beside obvious careers… district two in 'Mockingjay'. They were ready to die without any fear you can say. Just sitting there in this freaking mountain and trying to win although there was no way to escape and no way to win left. Or even description of peacekeepers, where besides the obvious examples of them being assholes – there were also those good ones, for example the guy that saved Gale in 'Catching Fire' or just other peacekeepers that were buying food from Katniss although they knew that she broke the law to do it.

It all of it just… bothers me. Bothers me to think about why people would become careers or peacekeepers. Why would they follow Capitol so much although they knew that in fact – they are nothing in comparison to Capitol, they are practically slaves like everyone else.

I just have all these… visions about those Districts. And yeah, people may have different opinions, but…

The basic life, characters and all that crap you will see in my fic, which is taking place in the First district out of all of them. Basically Blaine is me you can say :P. Me as me analyzing everyone, thinking WHY and trying to analyze all this options.

Although in my fic there is no place to analyze EVERYTHING so I decided to write an answer to few questions that people may have during reading my fic here.

1) How I picture life in district One by the meaning of the stuff they are using everyday or how they are dressing etc…

Well – basically? As we do today. You know… computers, DVD players, cars etc. There may be people that are more rich than the other and that have access to at least a few out of those 'crazy' things that Capitol can have, but most of the people can't afford them even though the district as a district is very rich (mostly because many items are 'Capitol only'. You know, people of Capitol need to be special, they must have things accessible only to them, right?).

And besides… in my story I have described a little bit the 50th Hunger Games apart of other I described in more detail… and the 50th Games were… 3 or 4 years before the moment in which the actual plot is happening, so… yeah, it's like in the future ('cause all plot of THG, CF and MJ is in the future :P) but still in the past if you look at all three of Collins books ('cause you know… she is describing 74th and 75th)… so yeah, things are still not as developed as in THG universe.

2) The school system.

a. People are going to school since they are 5 till they are 25.

b. There is a huge variety of classes kids can take BUT there are few of them that every and each of them needs to attend. These type of classes are typical 'propaganda classes' you can say, where they are learning about the history of Panem and Capitol, biography of their president, greatness of Capitol, they are learning how to notice the enemy of Capitol, how to punish them, who to inform about it etc. Of course, not every student lets it control their life (although they need to pretend, at least publicly), but most of the kids are brainwashed since they are 5.

c. How I picture behavior of most of the kids after attending these kind of classes? You know the movie called Equilibrium, Gataca (you will see what I mean by it in different paragraph) or Orwell's 'Year 1984'? If yes, you have a picture. If no… you NEED to do it, especially with Orwell's book. MASTERPIECE (and you have basically described kids that are so brainwashed that they are telling on their parents and are treated like a heroes by the whole society, although it makes us, the readers, sick 'cause they were sending their own parents to death…).

d. And these different types of classes? Well… 'cause district one is making jewelry… My vision is that there are boys that are learning how to make different kind of diamonds out of coal, others are learning how to make gold and silver (cause I'm sure that they can't do a jewelry out of ONLY diamonds), and well… basically doing any physical job connected to making jewelry. Making jewelry per se and designing it is considered as 'girls job' and boy must be really, REALLY special to be allowed to take these kind of classes but they are usually not allowed to take them.

e. There are two types of PE classes. PE for everyone and PE for 'special individuals' that were making most of the progress during their usual PE classes, have the best marks etc. And this 'special PE' is basically career training. Some kids are directly asking to became a career, but most of them are selected. Every kid in the district is learning how to kill or survive, but it's only the basic skills that they are learning. For more drastic training they need to enter the group of careers.

f. They are learning since they are really little that basically only those healthy and fit have the right to live and are worth a place in their society. School system is openly supporting the bullying situations, treating all of it like some sort of a 'character training' and 'natural selection', also organizing competitions all the time in like… EVERYTHING and after each competition there is a huge assembly where not only the best results are published… but also the worst, making a laughing matter out of each defeat. Basically? They are looking for a perfection.

3) I picture those districts as places where they can do everything… but basically they can do nothing. They have no freedom, no free will… just like robots programmed to be the strongest and the best. Of course, there are few examples of people that are trying to live a different life, that fail to be 'perfect'… but their life in the society is definitely not an easy one. I don't see them as bad people… Just people that don't know that life can look different and that different doesn't necessarily mean bad.

I think that is all… at least all I had the urge to talk about and thought that may help with understanding why the plot of my story looks this not different way. If someone will have some questions now, or will have after I finally publish my story… she/he can feel free to ask ;). And besides, I'm opened to all suggestions.
