Tap. Tap. Tap.
My fingers move quickly on the glass. I'm pissed. Tired. Hungry. You name it.
I can clearly see Blaine on the other side, dragging himself out of bed and squinting in my direction. When he opens the window I hurry through, “Move your ass away,” I order. Blaine's looking like a lost puppy and I almost lose it. “Move!”
He scrambles back, stumbling and almost falling over his own fucking feet.
I make my way towards the mini-fridge, grabbing a can of beer and swallowing half the contents before I can calm myself down.
“What's wrong?” Blaine inquires.
I roll my eyes and throw myself on the couch, taking another swig. "My fucking boyfriend not knowing when to use a condom.”
His eyebrows crinkle.
"Has it felt weird when you pee for the last couple of days?" I ask. Blaine looks even more confused. I can feel my eyes rolling back in my head. Should this be that confusing? “Has it hurt?”
A nod.
My beer can is empty. When did that happen? “Sebastian just got tested positive for chlamydia. We need to give urine samples to the doctor on Monday."
All color washes out of Blaine's face. “Wh-what?"
"Sorry," I mutter. "Its not completely my fault, though. I thought I was clean and you were pretty much the initiator."
"B-but... my M-mom..." he manages.
"They dont have to know," I sigh. "Ill pay for the doctor. If you test positive Ill buy you the meds as well. Just... Sorry, alright."
His bottom lip catches between his teeth. "Dont be. Youre right, it was my own fault. Im sorry."
"Lets just forget it for tonight. Find a clean bottle tomorrow, piss in it, clean the outside of it off and give it to me. Ill drive down to the clinic with it."
Blaine fidgets nervously.
And I don't care. All I want is sleep at this moment.
“Goodnight Blaine,” I tell him before sliding under my covers.
******
Is it really that wrong to spy on my step-brother? It's harmless. He's just playing a video game. All the same it feels sexy.
"Boo!"
Blaine nearly jumps out of his skin, off the couch, and into oblivion. He turns around slowly, eyes narrowing slightly when he sees my smirking face. “Where have you been?”
“I decided to join the writing club at school and then I went over to Santana's to convince her to join with me. That way I can have at least one person who likes me in there.” I answer, placing my backpack on my bed.
There's not a proper Glee club at this new school, just a small choir. I researched it and they don't do anything near as exciting as my old one. Writing is a passion of mine and why not continue that passion? Just one piece of paradise at this new hellhole of a school.
"Have fun?" he asks.
"Yeah, Mom," I answer, rolling my eyes. Pulling out my notebook, sitting indian style on my bed, I begin to think of a song I could write.
“What are you writing?” Blaine says, sitting across from me.
My eyebrows knit together. “You know... I'm not really sure. I was debating on whether or not to write a song for the school paper. It would be an interesting new section. Maybe more people would pay attention to the paper if there was some originality.”
"Youre cute," he states, body suddenly rigid. He's blushing.
A small laugh leaves my lips. “You would be too if you'd lose the closet.”
Silence.
“Kidding.”
I lean forward and place a soft kiss to his lips.
"It would take more than that,” I joke.
Blaine smiles. “Will you sing it when you're finished writing it?”
His eyebrows shoot up, hiding under his bangs. Apparently its surprising that I play music at all. "What are your best instruments then?"
“Perhaps."
"Im coming with you to the clinic," he says matter-of-factly.
Oh.
******
Blaine's shaking like a fucking withered leaf in the fall breeze as we pull up in front of the clinic.
Were skipping lunch and fourth period since doing it during school would help us avoid awkward questions from the parents.
I feel like my whole car is vibrating with his body. I reach over and take his hand in mine, “Hey, it'll be okay. You can wait in the car," I offer, secretly hoping he doesn't want to.
Blaine shakes his head and we get out of the car. He sighs and holds out his hand.
"Its as the teachers say," he mutters. "If you feel old enough to have sex, you have to be old enough to deal with the consequences."
The automatic doors open and I motion him over to a seat as I walk towards the front desk. Once I finish checking us in I turn around and damn... Blaine looks like he is about to stroke out. He grabs my hand almost immediately when I'm seated. “What if they tell my mom and Burt?”
"They wont, Ill make sure of it," I reassure him.
I nod, deciding to trust him. At the moment thats just that much easier.
Theres a long pause where neither of us speak.
“What was it like at McKinley?”
"Ive been the school whore since I came out two years ago, school gay for just as long. It doesnt matter. I mean, yeah, it hurts, but I dont care."
"Why the school whore?" he questions.
"Gay guys cant get each other pregnant, hence everybody thinks were having sex left and right.” I sigh, "In all honesty its just a rumor, though. Youre only the third guy Ive slept with.”
"Im really sorry," he mutters.
I shrug.
Silence.
"Mr. Hummel!” the lady calls from the reception.
We both stand rather quickly and follow the nurse back into the examination room.
"We have one condition," I state.
"Condition?" The nurse is obviously confused and I understand.
How often do patients have conditions? Alright, all the time, but I mean this kind of a condition.
"Dont call our parents," my stepbrother says.
The nurse raises an eyebrow. "Well, youre underage and-"
"And if youre telling our parents, we wont get treated," I inform, cutting the older woman off. "Well walk right out of here before you get my friends name."
"But what about insurance?" she asks.
I sigh. "I can pay. In cash. Can we please just give you the samples, get your word that youll keep to your vow of silence and get back to school?"
The woman is quiet for a while, thinking. "I cant let you go untreated," she finally states.
I look to Blaine and grin, opening my messenger bag. I take out two containers, labeled with a K and a B. Sure the nurse already knows my name but not Blaine's. If the nurse decides to be a bitch and tell on us B wont get her very far. Five minutes later were sent out with numerous brochures and fliers on STDs, safe sex and safe gay sex. And a box of condoms with strict orders not to have unprotected sex until our test results come back.
Blaine has never looked more red in the face.
