Author's Notes: A/N: This chapter may be extremely rubbish because I've not really written fanfics before, I've only written my own stories, so I apologize in advance. :)

As his boss continued shouting at him for not being ready enough for his next shift, Blaine just rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I know, I'm nearly ready, I'll be ready in a sec, I just need to finish tuning my guitar." He said, continuing to fiddle with the strings as he tuned them.

Once the guitar was tuned, Blaine smiled to himself. He sat on the stool on the front of the stage. His boss knew the setlist he was going to be doing, he began to play the familiar tune to Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. He looked at the crowd and gulped as he noticed they were all watching him as they sipped on their coffees. In a way, Blaine liked the fact they had acnowledged him, but he was worried they were looking at him as if they were expecting him to mess up, seeing as he was only 20 and it was his first ever gig.

As he began to sing, the door opened, the creak made him jump, he stared at the door, gulping as he saw the brunette that walked through it, the first thought that rushed through Blaine's head was Shit, he's really hot.. I hope he stays until I finish my setlist.. Shit. He continued singing, watching the brunette's every move, as the brunette's eyes fell on him, Blaine blushed and looked away.

When his first song ended, he smiled softly as the crowd erupted into applause, looking at the brunette again, he beamed at him as their eyes connected again. He looked at the microphone and gulped. "So, thanks for the response for my first song! The next song I'm singing is Teenage Dream by Katy Perry, it's a favorite of mine, I love Katy Perry and what she stands for, so here's Teenage Dream!" He said, beaming as he began to play the song.

During the song, the brunette seemed to move even closer to Blaine. Blaine couldn't help but smile as their eyes connected again. He took a deep breath as the song ended, biting his lip. "The next song I'm gonna be doing is Tu Vuoi Fa L'Americano by Renato Carosone." He said, smiling softly as he began to play the tune to it before coming in with the vocals.

As he played the song, he could see the brunette swoon, this made Blaine grin as he continued to sing, he glanced at the other people in the audience, hoping none of them had noticed the fact he was swooning over this mysterious brunette who walked into the coffee shop while he was performing.

Once he finished performing Tu Vuoi Fa L'Americano, he climbed off of the stage, moving his guitar to behind him as he bought an Espresso. He glanced at the mysterious brunette and gulped, tapping him on the shoulder. "Hi." He said, taking a deep breath. "My name's Blaine, Blaine Anderson." He grinned, waiting for his espresso to be handed to him.

The brunette looked at him and blinked a few times, before responding, "My name's Kurt Hummel, you were amazing up there and I-"

Blaine's boss cut in and scowled. "Blaine, what have I told you about scaring off the customers, get back up there! Your shift doesn't end for another five minutes!"

Blaine looked down. "It's nice to meet you, Kurt. Would you like to sing with me?" He asked, biting his lip, hoping that Kurt would agree.

As soon as Blaine finished talking, Kurt's face lit up. "I would love to, ohmygosh." He said, taking a deep breath. "What should we sing?"

Blaine thought for a moment, "Do you know Somewhere Only We Know by Keane? We could split it if you want, or we could just sing the chorus together? It's up to you." He grinned.

Kurt clasped his hands together and nodded. "Ohmygosh, I would love that. I'll sing the chorus with you." He grinned.

Blaine clapped. "I'll put my guitar down and play the piano." He smiled, looking into his eyes as they spoke. "Oh, and before you ask, I am gay, yes." He said, laughing softly as he placed his guitar by his bag. He watched Kurt sit on the stool, smiling softly. He began to play the tune to it, before starting to sing.

When the chorus came around, Blaine looked over at Kurt, a small smile on his face as they sung together.

Blaine was in love, it was official. Of course, Kurt would never feel the same, because Blaine would never be his type, and he probably has a boyfriend.

Blaine gulped as he continued singing and playing the piano, not wanting this performance to end, but every second the end came closer, Blaine kept his eyes on Kurt during the whole performance, he was truly captivated by his beauty.

Once the performance ended, Blaine shift ended, Blaine took his espresso from the counter and sat beside Kurt. "So, that was an awesome performance. Have you lived here all your life?" He asked, smiling softly.

Kurt shook his head. "I'm from Lima, in Ohio." He sighed. "It sucked and I wanted to live in NY, so here I am." He grinned.

Blaine raised an eyebrow. "I'm from Ohio too, well, I'm from Westerville." He grinned. "I attended Dalton Academy." He smiled.

Kurt raised his eyebrows. "I attended William McKinley! Our Glee Club won against Dalton's Warblers, I swear you were like their frontman?"

Blaine laughed softly. "Yeah, those were the days, before my parents kicked me out. I moved in with my brother for a while but he pissed me off, so I got an apartment here and I work here daily, so yeah." He mumbled, scratching the back of his neck. "I don't know why I'm telling you all this."

Kurt sighed. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. If you need any help settling in you can always text me.. Here, I'll write down my number." He smiled, grabbing a pen and a small piece of paper. He wrote his number down.

Blaine's face lit up as Kurt gave him his number. "Awesome, I'll drop you a text soon."

Kurt nodded, looking at his watch. "Shoot, I've gotta go, I'll see you soon." he smiled, rushing off.

Blaine watched him leave, putting his head in his hands. He took out his phone and gulped, typing in a text to Kurt as he noticed a very fashionable scarf left on the side where Kurt was previously sat.

[22:09]

Hey Kurt, it's Blaine, um, you left your scarf here, if you'll text me your address, I'll drop it over or we can just meet somewhere if you're still around the cafe.

[22:10]

Shoot, I knew I forgot something! Sorry, I'll meet you outside if you want.

[22:11] - Message undelivered

The taxi driver didn't want to stop, I'll see you around.

Blaine just sighed, picking up his guitar and other belongings, he held Kurt's scarf to his chest and sighed, the scarf smelled of Kurt, the soft natural scent that Kurt smelled of. Blaine sighed softly as he saw Kurt's silhouette. "Kurt!" He called out.

The silhouette didn't move, Blaine blinked and it had vanished, Blaine looked down at the scarf. "Fuck." He mumbled, wrapping the scarf around his neck, hoping Kurt would text him his address so he could drop the scarf to his.

Blaine got into a taxi and headed home. The taxi drive home was long, scenarios of if Kurt waited for him and didn't speed off, Blaine rushing up to him, handing him his scarf, Kurt crashing their lips together.

Blaine's thoughts were interrupted as the taxi came to a stop outside his apartment. "Thanks.. Keep the change." He mumbled, handing the driver $10. Blaine got out of the taxi and rushed to his front door. He opened it and quickly walked into his apartment, shutting the door behind him. He took a deep breath as he placed his belongings down. He didn't want to take Kurt's scarf off. He pulled his coat off, placing it on the armchair, he took his shoes off, placing them down, he pulled his jeans off and changed into his pyjamas, he unbuttoned his shirt and buttoned his pyjama top up. He got into bed and sighed as his phone buzzed again.

[23:14]

Sorry for not getting my scarf back, the taxi driver didn't want to stop, can I come and collect it tomorrow?

[23:15]

Sure, I live in the apartments opposite Central Park, mine will probably have a cat on the window sill, patting the dog beside it's head. Yeah, my pets are always doing that, so yeah. I'll see you tomorrow, goodnight Kurt.

[23:17]

I'll remember that, I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Blaine, sweet dreams.

[23:18]

Don't let the bedbugs bite ;)

End Notes: A/N: So that's the end of the first chapter, it's not that good, but I'll try and write another one this week! :)
