Kurt slowly opened his eyes to see sunlight streaming onto his bed through the curtains. He then remembered that he was at his brothers flat and not at home. He propped himself on his elbows and looked around. The first thing that struck him was that he had strewn his clothes over the flooor, which he never does. He slid out of bed and went to get in the shower, but then, as he was about to open the door, he realised that he didn't have any clothes to change into or any of his shampoos, body lotions or facial creams. All of his bags remained in the living room next to the sofa, which Blaine was sleeping on. He definitely wasn't going in there just in his boxers, he didn't want to put his old clothes on, but he had no other choice. He threw on yesterdays creased outfit and slowly opening the door to peer into the hallway. There was no noise so he was guessing that Blaine was still asleep and Carson hadn't woken up yet. Kurt tip toed into the living room area and saw Blaine curled up on the sofa with his hair in a mess and murmering in his sleep. A grin creeped onto Kurt's face at the sight of Blaine like this. Kurt then quickly picked up 2 of his bags and hurried into the bathroom.
Kurt emerged from the bathroom an hour later, washed, clothed and hair perfectly coiffed. He carried the rest of his bags back into his room as quietly as he could as to not wake Carson or Blaine. He then went into the kitchen and turned on the kettle to make some coffee. He could see that Blaine was still sound asleep as he was making breakfast. Kurt hadn't realised how open Carson's flat actually was. The living room, kitchen and dining room were just one big room with different parts. Then there was the hallway with the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom. Once Kurt had finished making his toast with marmalade and cereal, he went and sat at the dinner table to eat it.
When Kurt was half way through his cereal, he heard Blaine stirring. He looked over and saw Blaine turning over and mumbling. Then he sat up like a bolt, his eyes as slits from the amount of light from the windows.
"Morning," Kurt said smiling at him then eating another spoonful of cereal.
"Oh... Erm, morning," Blaine replied, rubbing his eyes as his dropped his legs off the side of the sofa, "Oh, my head. We didn't get that drunk last night did we?"
"Well, you did have quite a few beers, but I wasn't counting," Kurt said, finishing his cereal.
"Oh. I have a massive headache. Feels like I went out and just got completely pissed."
"I'll make you some breakfast if your hungry. You probably shouldn't stand up if you've got a big headache," Kurt said, taking his bowl, plate and mug to the sink, "What would you like?"
"Oh, no. Don't worry. I'm fine." Blaine tried to stand, wobbled then sat back down.
"See, now come on, I don't mind. Want do you want?" Kurt smiled at Blaine's messy hair and felt his heart flutter.
"Just a coffee, I don't think I'm ready for food yet." Blaine said, laughing. Kurt smiled and turned on the Kettle.
"You can have a shower after your coffee if you want to." Kurt said leaning on the kitchen table.
"Um, yeah I probably will. Should've brought a change of clothes really," Blaine thought aloud.
"You could borow some of Carson's. I don't think he's mind." Kurt suggested, pouring the boild water into a mug.
"I guess. Is he up yet?"
"Oh, no. Still asleep I think." Kurt carried the mug over to Blaine and set it down on the coffe table.
"Thanks," Blaine smiled up at Kurt as he sat at the end of the sofa. Kurt didn't say anything because he could see that Blaine was enjoying his coffee.
"Let's see if theres anything on TV today," Kurt stood and walked to pick up the TV guide. At the same time Blaine put down his coffe and went to pass it to him. Blaine's hand hit the magazine first and Kurts landed on top of it. A strange feeling shot up through Kurt's hand all the way to his spine. He could feel his heart beating and he looked into Blaine's eyes and his heart slowed down, it started to flutter and Kurt never wanted to look away. It felt like in that moment that there was nothing else except for him and Blaine. Nothing else mattered and everything was perfect.
Kurt's cheeks flared up and he slowly pulled his hand away from Blaine's. He took the guide and sat back on the sofa. Blaine wasn't sure what just happened but he knew that there was something between them. Kurt looked so amazing in that moment and he never wanted it to end. He looked over at Kurt who was bright red and nervously flipping through pages in the guide.
Kurt carried on flipping through the TV guide, unsure of what just happened. He could feel Blaine's eyes on him but he didn't want to look because he would just become more embarrassed. From what he felt, Blaine's hand was smooth but not delicate, it had an edge that he couldn't quite put his finger on. That feeling between them was the amazing amazing feeling and Kurt knew that he wanted to touch Blaine again and he felt as if he wanted to be around Blaine all the time but he wasn't really sure why.
"That was weird, huh?" Blaine said, breaking the silence and making Kurt jump a little. He turned his head to Blaine and saw something in his eyes, a spark or a flame, it made them look illuminous and beautiful.
"Um, yeah... but in-in a good way." Kurt replied, feeling as if he had increased the awkwardness between them.
"Oh, yeah, I mean..." Blaine trailed off, not sure what to say next, "Kurt, do you wanna maybe..."
"I-I better go and wake up Carson!" Kurt interrupted, hurriedly. He sprang up and quickly walked to the hallway. He wasn't sure what he was doing. He really liked Blaine and he definitely had looks that you could happily to some kind of god! But from the few experiences he had had in high school, relationships have never really worked out... so far. He was feeling panicy and he really wanted to hear what Blaine was going to say but he wasn't sure whether he was ready for this yet. They had only just met yesterday.
Blaine watched as Kurt jumped out of his seat and ran into the hallway. He really liked Kurt and he just wanted to ask him if wanted to go out with him sometime. 'Maybe he doesn't like me' he thought. But he wasn't going to give up that easily. Kurt was his best friend's brother, yes, but he wasn't going to let go of this change to be with this amazing man just because of that. When they both knew very well that there was something between them.
"Carson! Wake up! It's like 1 in the afternoon!" Kurt knocked on Carson's door, "I've you some breakfast! You better come and get it!" Kurt knew that he hadn't made Carson any breakfast but his love for food would drive him out of bed and making some breakfast would give him something do to.
"I'm gonna have a quik shower now, so aks Carson if he could throw me some clothes when he's up." Blaine said cheerily. He smiled up at Kurt and Kurt had to lean on the counter to keep his balance.
"Um, ok, yeah." Kurt replied, hesitantly. Blaine stood up and pulled off his shirt. Kurt looked up at the sound and his eyes almost popped out his skull. The sight of Blaine's bare, chizzled body amde Kurt just go crazy. His body was telling him to do one thing and his brain was saying another. He was hard for Blaine and he had only just seen his upper half. At realising this, he dipped under the counter so it wouldn't be noticable and then Blaine looked into Kurt's eyes and saw the longing burning there. Kurt spun round as he was becoming flustered and blushing incredibly.
Blaine stripped his shirt off and saw Kurt look up attentively at him. He saw him become flustered and blushing, he thought that it was adorable. He realised a growing bump in Kurt's tight trousers. Kurt spun around at the attention and Blaine didn't want to make Kurt anymore uncomfortable, even though it was increasingly more adorable. He walked into the bathroom and shut the door so that Kurt would know that he was gone.
Kurt heard the click of the bathroom door and turned to find that he was by himself again. 'What had just happened?' he asked himself. Blaine was just so gorgeous and it drove him crazy. He wasn't sure what was going to happen now. He wanted to be with Blaine now, but he didn't how that would ever happen. It's his brother's best friend. Would Carson understand? He didn't have any strong opinions when he came out, but this was different. He'd just have to wait and see how things went.
"Kurt? Breakfast?" Carson's voice came from the hallway and Kurt turned to find a hungover man slump down over the dinner table.
"Here you go." Kurt said, placing a mountain of pancakes, a massive mug of coffee, some cereal and the newspaper down on the table in front of him.
"Oh, thanks Kurt. You're the best." Carson said before he started shoveling the pancakes into his mouth. Kurt thought that Carson was enjoying his breakfast so much that he'd pick out some of Carson's clothes for Blaine to wear. He went into Carson's room to find his bed a mess and clothes just thrown on the floor. He pulled out some chinos, a t-shirt, some boxers, socks and a jumper if he wanted it. He piled them onto one hand and headed into the hallway. He tapped on the bathroom door.
"Blaine, I've got you some clothes, Carson is too busy eating breakfast so I got you some. You can change them if you want to." Kurt said, loudly so that Blaine would be able to hear him over the shower. The door opened slightly and Kurt saw Blaine's head and torso pop out from behind the door. His hair was dripping wet but just as curly. Kurt smiled at this sight and passed him the clothes. Kurt started to laugh as Blaine tried to take them with his hair crowding round his eyes.
"Don't laugh, my hair needs a trim yes, ok!" Blaine said jokily smiling back up at Kurt. He wiped the hair from Blaine's eyes with his free hand and Blaine looked up at him and took the pile of clothes. "Thanks." Blaine said before shutting the door quietly. Kurt stepped back from the door, smiled as his heart sighed. He strolled back into the dining room area to see Carson a lot more awake and reading the newspaper.
Blaine emerdged from the bathroom about 10 minutes later, wearing the clothes that Kurt had retrieved for him and kurt thought he looked amazing.
"Morning Blaine," Carson said looking up from the newspaper, "Are they my clothes?"
"Oh, yeah, I didn't have any spare so I borrowed some. Kurt said that you wouldn't mind." Blaine said looking to Kurt who was leaning aginst the kitchen counter drink yet another coffee.
"Oh, yeah. Ofcourse I don't mind!" Carson replied.
"Kurt is obviously going to do well at college. He picked the perfect outfit for me and we only just met yesterday!" Blaine said, smiling at Kurt.
"Well, he always has been good at fashion." Carson said, looking over at Kurt to see him returning the smile from Blaine.
