Hey everyone. I know it's been a while and all I can do is apologize. I hope you haven't given up on me, yet.
Chapter Eleven
“I am so tired of staying in this hotel.” Jeff said as he fell down on the king-sized double in their room. “I mean, we never have any time to relax, 'cause we can always hear the couple next door going at it like rabbits and if we want to go at it like rabbits, they keep complaining.” He threw his hands up in the air. “Like, I don't even know what their problem is.”
Nick rolled his eyes but he silently agreed with Jeff. Staying at this hotel sucked. After only being here for two days he was so sick of it. He wanted to move into an actual apartment with Jeff already. He wanted to have a place that they could call their own and where they could have at least a little bit of privacy.
They knew they technically could move out of that hotel at any time because Blaine's offer still stood. They could simply call that guy that Blaine had mentioned in his letter and they would be out of here in no time.
However, they had both agreed that they didn't feel comfortable doing that, seeing as it was kind of a huge deal for Blaine to pay for a whole apartment just for them. Jeff and him had decided that it would be best to wait for Blaine and Kurt to come to New York before deciding whether they would move into that apartment with them but now...
Would it really be that bad, if they moved in there at Blaine's expense?
Apparently Jeff was thinking the same thing. “Didn't Blaine say he's loaded anyways? Can't we just call that guy and move in?”
“It wouldn't be right, though, would it?”
“But this sucks. I don't want to stay here anymore.” Jeff whined.
Nick sighed quietly and then bit his lip before glancing over at Jeff. “I mean...” He began and Jeff glanced back at him in the same way. “We could pay him back for those couple of months, right?”
Jeff nodded quickly. “We totally could.”
“Then it wouldn't be so bad to live there at his expense.”
“We could even turn the place into an actual home before they come here. They'd love it.”
“We'd be doing them a favor, really.”
“Yeah, we would.”
“Maybe we should call him, though. Just to make sure he's okay with this. I mean, just in case he's changed his mind.” Jeff bit his lip as he tried to decide whether all of this was morally okay.
“We should.” Nick said absently but then thought better of it. “Hold up! What are we even talking about? It's been like, what? Three weeks since they've left? Why would he change his mind all of a sudden?”
“He probably hasn't but it's polite to ask, isn't it? And who knows what happened in those three weeks? Things could have fallen to shit for all we know.”
“I guess so.” Nick sighed. “The truth is... I'm just scared to call him. You know, he's—I don't even know. But Kurt might already be turned and we don't know what that means for both of them. Maybe—” He paused and looked down on his hands as he flexed them nervously. “All I can imagine is Kurt trying to kill everyone around him, his eyes red like Blaine's were and only Blaine there to stop him. I just have the feeling that right now we're not Blaine's priority.”
“I'm sure if we're bothering him, he'd tell us. He's that straight-forward kind of guy. He'd tell us to piss off.” Jeff let out a laugh that didn't sound happy, though. “Kurt is okay, Nick. He has to be. And you know what?” He got up and clapped Nick on the shoulder as he walked past him. “That is exactly why we're gonna call them.”
Nick's eyes widened. “What?”
“We're gonna call and ask about the apartment and we'll find out how they're doing? We'll find out how things are with Kurt. What could go wrong? In the worst case Blaine simply hangs up on us.”
“Alright, but you're calling.”
“No way. We're putting it on speaker.”
“What if he gets angry?”
“First, he won't get angry.” Jeff pulled out his phone and locked the door to their hotel room. “Second, you don't need to say a word, if you don't want to.”
Nick blinked a couple times. “O—okay.”
“Calm down, Nick. This is just Blaine we're calling.” Jeff scrolled down his contact list to where he had Blaine's number saved under the name 'Salvatore'. When Nick had asked him about that, Jeff had blushed and mumbled that he was a fan of “The Vampire Diaries” and he couldn't think of anything better, when he was hiding Blaine's number, in case anyone went through his phone.
Finally Jeff pressed the call button and put his phone on speaker before quickly putting it down on the table. Both of them sat down on the couch, staring at the phone as the dial tone sounded.
-
Blaine almost fell out of bed when suddenly his phone on the nightstand started ringing. He had just lay down to catch up on some sleep as Damien was training with Kurt downstairs. The sound of his phone came so unexpectedly that it took him a second to realize what it was. When he picked it up and saw who was calling, panic hit him. What had happened?
“Jeff? What's going on? Is everything is okay?” If his heart had been capable of beating, it would have been racing right now.
“Blaine?” Jeff's voice was hesitant. “Everything's okay. We're fine. We just—”
Blaine let out a relieved sigh. “Thank god. I thought something had happened to you. Wow, guys, don't scare me like that again.”
“We're you really that worried about us?” Nick asked.
“Of course I worry about you. I worry about you all the time. What if something happened to you while I was not around?” Blaine took a deep breath. “But you guys are okay, right?”
“Yes, we're totally fine.”
“Then what's up? Did you just want to check on us? I can go get Kurt, so you can talk to him.” Blaine said as he was already on his way to leave the room, not bothering to put on a shirt first.
“Yeah, we wanted to check on you and we wanted to check if you were still okay with us moving into that apartment you mentioned because we're in New York. We left earlier than we planned because, well, Nick had some problems at home. Anyway, we're tired of staying at a hotel and—”
“What happened, Nick?” Blaine asked and came to a stop in the middle of the staircase.
“Nothing really. It doesn't matter. I just couldn't stay there anymore.” Nick said rather quietly.
“Okay. If you need help with anything, you call me. Understood?” Blaine couldn't help but worry but he carried on downstairs. He passed Graham who gave him a confused look when he saw that Blaine was on the phone but then kept walking.
“So, the apartment...” Jeff said again.
“Yes, what about it? Have you looked at it, yet?”
“No, we haven't. We were gonna ask you first if this was still okay with you. You know, us moving in there without you guys and living there at your expense.” Jeff actually sounded nervous.
Blaine grinned to himself. “You two listen to me now. I want you to move in there and don't think about the cost, okay? Trust me, I can afford it. And if you decide you don't want us to move in there with you, then I can find another apartment for you and I'd pay for that, too.”
“You would do what?”
“I'd pay for your apartment, if you want me to. Consider it compensation for putting up with me and all the shit that comes along with being friends with me.”
There was silence on the other end of the line and Blaine rolled his eyes as he imagined them sitting there in shock. He made his way down the stairs to the basement just as Kurt walked came his way.
“Hey, Kurt, do you wanna talk to the lunatics?” Blaine held the phone towards Kurt who looked confused for a second before quickly shaking his head. Blaine held his hand over the phone to block out the sound.
“Why not?”
“I don't know. I just...” Kurt shrugged but seemed panicked.
“Come on. We'll sit down in the study and talk with them. You don't have to say anything, if you don't want to.” Blaine took Kurt's hand and held the phone back to his ear. “Sorry, guys, I wasn't listening. What did you say?”
“We said, we're gonna move into that apartment for now, then. We can't wait to get out of this hotel.” Nick repeated.
“Do that.” Blaine sat down on the couch in the study and pulled Kurt down to sit with him. “We’ll be there as soon as we can.”
“So, things are going well with... with Kurt and everything?” Jeff asked hesitantly.
“Yeah, they are. Everything is, um, going as planned.” Blaine said and gave Kurt a significant look that made Kurt smile a bit.
Nick cleared his throat. “So, how long has it been since, you know, Kurt turned?”
“I turned him the Sunday after we left Dalton, so it's already been a couple weeks. But he's adapting fast and it's going better than I could have hoped.”
Kurt huffed. “What did you think would happen, if this is better than what you expected?”
“Is Kurt there?”
“Yes, I'm here.” Kurt said louder now. Then he motioned for Blaine to put it on speaker. “Hey guys, how are you doing?”
“Us? We're fine. How are you doing?” Jeff sounded so happy to hear Kurt's voice and Kurt had to bite his lip to keep himself from laughing out of sheer relief. He had been so scared that they would somehow reject him.
“I'm okay. It's—it's a lot to take in and a bit hard to get used to but like Blaine said, I guess I'm adapting. It's possible that I can soon be around people again.” Kurt swallowed. “At least I hope so.”
“I'm taking him out tonight.” Blaine said and gave Kurt a smile.
“You are?” Kurt asked surprised.
“Yes.”
“Sounds great, guys. I hope you won't take too long until you come here. We miss you. And we can't wait to see you again.” Nick said.
“Yeah, I second that.” Jeff added. “I'm glad that you're doing okay, Kurt. It's quite hard to imagine what you're going through. Get here in one piece.”
“I will.”
Suddenly Damien's voice came from downstairs. “Kurt, you said two minutes. Your break is over!”
“Is that Damien?” Nick asked.
“Yeah, it is.” Blaine said. “He's helping with Kurt's training and with Kurt's abilities. And I guess he's staying here because he doesn't know where else to go.”
Suddenly Damien stood right beside them and looked down at the phone on Blaine's lap. “Not true.” He defended himself. “I'm just doing what a friend should do and that includes living at your expense and annoying the shit out of you. How's it going, Nick?” His voice sounded casual but Blaine was sure that he heard actual interest behind that question.
Nick on the other hand only sounded confused. “Um, I'm fine.”
“Good, good.” Damien said with a grin. “We'll see each other again, I hope.”
“Yes. We might.” Jeff said sharply. Apparently he had heard the undertone in Damien's voice as well. Blaine was tempted to hit Damien for constantly flirting with Nick. Sooner or later it would result in an angry Jeff, a really confused Nick, and Damien threatening Jeff. Blaine knew he didn't want to be in the middle of that.
Kurt seemed oblivious to what was happening and Nick probably was, too. Damien just shrugged and slowly wandered down the stairs again. “Five more minutes, Kurt. Then I want you downstairs again.”
Kurt couldn't help but growl at Damien's demanding tone. When he realized that, however, he covered his mouth instantly. Had Nick and Jeff heard that? Blaine raised his eyebrows at Kurt who quickly shook his head to say that it didn't matter.
“Guys, we better let you go, then.” Jeff said. Kurt closed his eyes for a second. Now he was sure that they'd heard it. What were they thinking now? That he was out of control? That he would hurt them? He didn't want them to be scared even though he was scared of himself most of the time. He didn't want to lose them.
“Yeah, alright.” Blaine said. “Thanks for the call and we'll hear from each other. At the very latest when we come to New York.”
“Alright. Bye, Blaine. Bye, Kurt. Good luck and keep your head up. Don't let it get to you.” Jeff said. Nick said goodbye as well and Blaine hung up.
Kurt was silent after that. Blaine pocketed his phone and then scooted closer to Kurt. “Hey, what's going on?”
“I guess, I was just scared what they would think about me now that I'm a vampire. I mean, it must be quite hard to swallow for them, knowing that I kill people now, too, and that I am dangerous and all that crap. I know how I felt when I found out about you and I'm scared that they feel the same about me now.” He paused. “What did you think would happen?” He repeated his question from earlier.
“What do you mean?”
“You said that it's going better than you expected. What did you think would happen after you turned me?”
Blaine looked down. “I didn't expect you to take it so well. I thought you'd regret it and that you'd want to be human again. Because that's how I felt after turning.” He looked up at Kurt again. “And that's just it. I thought you'd handle your turning as bad as I did. I thought you'd get violent and constantly attack me or Damien. I thought you'd hate me for doing this to you. I thought you would want to kill yourself. Because that's what I did after I was turned.”
“You tried to kill yourself?”
“Tried, yeah. It's not as easy as it sounds.”
“But why?” Kurt asked.
“Because I didn't choose this!” Blaine shouted. Kurt shrank back and his instincts told him to run but he stayed where he was.
“I'm sorry, Blaine. I shouldn't have asked that. That was stupid of me.”
Blaine flexed his shaking hands and shook his head without looking at Kurt. “You just don't get why I am so conflicted about all of this, do you? I never wanted you to become like me because I never wanted to be like this in the first place.”
Without warning Damien was there again and pulled Blaine up from the couch. “Alright, that's enough. You need a time-out from talking. Come on.”
“Let go of me! I wasn't going to attack him.” Blaine growled and pushed Damien away with such force that Damien almost fell.
“Sounded like it to me, though.” Damien said, which made Blaine take a step towards him but Damien backed away. “Calm the fuck down, Blaine. You're spiraling out of control and we can't handle you attacking us, okay?” He held up his hands in surrender but Blaine barely listened.
“You don't get to tell me what to do!” He felt his fangs lengthening and he didn't even try to stop it. Instead he bared his teeth at Damien who was starting to get nervous. “None of you get to tell me what to do anymore. What if I don't want to be in control? What if I want to use my power for something, huh?”
“Then you should use it for something good.” Kurt said quietly.
Blaine looked at him, taking in how scared Kurt looked. “I can't be a killer and a hero.”
“Yes, you can.” Kurt said. “And before you tell me I'm wrong, you should at least try. If not for me, then try for yourself.”
Blaine stared at Kurt for what felt like hours, his breathing slowly becoming less agitated and his eyes started to lighten up again as the black faded. Then he retracted his fangs and was in Kurt's arms instantly. “I'm so sorry.
“It's okay.”
“No, it's not. I don't know what's happening to me. I can't control it anymore. I'm just so angry all the time and I just feel this need to let it all out. Go red eyes and let it all out.”
“Next time you feel like that, you tell us, then.” Damien said. “If you had really lost it just now, we would not have been able to stop you. Now, I guess it's best if we call it a day. No more training and I don't think you should take Kurt out today, Blaine. You should wait. You're both not ready for that.”
Both Blaine and Kurt nodded silently. Blaine let go of Kurt cupped his cheek. “I love you, Kurt. I'm sorry.” And with that he stepped back and shifted, falling down on all fours.
Kurt watched the wolf as it silently left the room and then heard him leave the house. He just wished Blaine would talk to him instead of walking away all the time. But now he understood how hard it was for Blaine to talk about it. And he didn't blame him for it.
-
“Kurt, are you coming?”
Blaine was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, waiting for Kurt to finally come downstairs, so they could leave. It had been three weeks since the day Nick and Jeff had called. Damien had agreed to Blaine taking Kurt into town under one condition: they would have to go at night, so there would be less people on the streets. The last few weeks had been filled with training, both Kurt's and Blaine's. Damien had spent hours over hours with Blaine alone, trying to teach him more control over his newly found powers and it had worked. Blaine felt better. He felt more in control and he was happy that he wasn't 'spiraling' anymore, like Damien had called it.
Kurt appeared at the top of the stairs, looking a bit conflicted. “Are you sure this is a good idea?”
“It was your idea in the first place. Come on, it'll be fine. We've got nothing to worry about. We both got better at controlling ourselves.”
“Speak for yourself. I have plenty to worry about. I trust that you can handle it after all that you've done in the last few weeks. But what if I can't handle it? You said it would be a lot harder than being around Graham and being around Graham is not exactly easy, either.”
“Come on down here already.” Blaine said and after rolling his eyes, Kurt made his way down the stairs at a human pace—another thing Blaine had told Kurt was that he had to get used to acting human around others. When Kurt reached him, Blaine took hold of both of Kurt's hands. “You have to stop worrying. Everything will be fine. I will be there with you and nothing is going to happen. You'll do great and next time we go out, you'll be even better at controlling yourself and before you know it, we can leave for New York.”
“You make it sound so easy.”
“That's because it is.”
He opened the front door and held it open for Kurt. It was still quite warm outside after a sunny July day. The sun was just about to set behind the trees of the surrounding forest and as Kurt took a step outside he could smell the rain that was coming their way. Blaine's hand was on his back, gently pushing him forward towards the car.
“Are we driving?” Kurt asked, one eyebrow raised.
“Yes, we are.”
“Why? You never take the car to town.”
Blaine half-smiled. “Because I never go for fun. I go to hunt and I want to go unnoticed, which is why I leave the car. But today, we are two entirely normal young adults going out, alright?” Kurt nodded. “Do you want to drive?”
“No, thanks. I'll pass. I'm nervous enough.”
Blaine opened the passenger door for him and Kurt got into the car. Blaine sat on the driver's seat only a second later. As he put the key into the ignition, he said “Careful, now, the engine might be a bit loud. You have to get used to that.”
Kurt gave the key a wary look before covering his ears with both hands. The engine turned on and Kurt pressed his hands closer to his ears. It really was loud and the vibrations of the car were almost uncomfortable.
“You okay?”
Kurt slowly took his hands away from his head. “Yeah.” Then, “How do you handle that all the time? You never seemed to be bothered before. How am I supposed to handle a highway?”
“You will get used to it. Trust me.” Blaine laughed.
Their drive into town was quiet and Kurt kept readjusting his seat belt without even noticing what he was doing. He really was nervous that something would go wrong. Blaine parked the car in a narrow street in a residential area and Kurt was relieved when the engine finally stopped howling. With a deep breath he opened the door and got out of the car. Immediately he was hit by thousands of scents and sounds surrounding him and making him feel dizzy.
Blaine hugged him from behind and whispered into his ear. “Ignore it. Ignore the scents and don't listen to all of that. Just listen to me. Concentrate on me. The rest doesn't matter.”
Kurt closed his eyes and tried to block it all out and instead just concentrate on the way Blaine smelled and the way his arms circled around his hips. It took him several minutes until he opened his eyes again but Blaine was patient. He knew this would take time.
“Are you alright?”
“Yes,” Kurt nodded. “I'm fine.”
“Very well, then.” Blaine offered Kurt his arm. “Will you take a walk with me?”
Kurt had to smile at Blaine. Sometimes he really sounded like he was from another century. He took Blaine's offered arm and together they started walking down the sidewalk. Out of the corner of his eye Blaine kept observing Kurt's reactions to new waves of scents coming at them. They had to stop a couple of times, when Kurt closed his eyes again and tried to concentrate once more.
“You're doing so well, Kurt. This is amazing.” Blaine encouraged him as he squeezed Kurt's hand gently.
Kurt felt optimistic that he could do this. He had gotten so far and he would make it through until they could go back to the car. If he could do this, it brought him one step closer to New York and let's face it, that's what he wanted most.
“Do you feel ready to take a route where people are around?” Blaine asked. “It will be hard. Real hard.”
Kurt wanted to say 'yes' but he hesitated. “What if I can't control myself?”
“As long as you promise not to go invisible, I think I can handle you.” Blaine said. “We have to hunt tonight anyways.” When he saw Kurt stare at him in actual shock, he quickly added, “Well, I have to hunt. If you want to, I'll bring you back to the house and you can feed from Graham. You don't have to come with me. I just thought you might want to try it.”
“Are you sure I could do that? I don't think I can hunt down a person.”
Blaine raised one eyebrow. “Kurt, believe me when I say that you can. Once you start hunting, you won't even think about the fact that you're hunting down a person.”
“Mmh. I guess so.” Kurt nodded.
“Tell you what, we'll see about that after we have made back to the car. If we don't make it that far before you lose it, I'm gonna improvise. Or we take the same route back as we came, if you want to.” Blaine said.
“I want to try at least.” Kurt sounded rather torn but he wanted to make it through this. He didn't want to disappoint Blaine. “We'll take the more busy way back and hope that I don't lose it, okay?”
“Alright. Whatever you feel comfortable doing.”
When they rounded the corner of the street, it became clear to Kurt what Blaine had meant. There were not a lot of people on the street but there were several bars and pubs that were still filled with customers, some of them wandering across the street towards the next one. Kurt tensed when the scent of fresh human blood hit him, mixed with alcohol and sweat. The scent was overwhelmingly strong and it was literally everywhere.
A man passed them, barely walking straight, and he came so close to Kurt that Kurt pressed himself into Blaine's side and stopped breathing. The man's scent, however, was in Kurt's nose and it smelled so appealing that he almost let go of Blaine's hand to jump the man from behind.
“Oh god, I don't think I can do this.” Kurt said through his teeth. He barely had any air left to talk and he didn't dare taking another breath, knowing that the taste of the air would be enough to send him over the edge.
“Do you want to go back? We can take the other way.” Blaine whispered into his ear and leaned closer to Kurt to block the other scents out for Kurt a little.
“No, I want to—”
“Kurt, you don't have to force this. It's okay, if it's too much. We can try again tomorrow and the day after that. It doesn't have to be now.”
“I know that. But I really do want to.”
“Alright. Try not to let go of my hand.” Blaine said and took hold of Kurt's hand again. Then he started walking and Kurt followed. He took another breath in and could feel himself wanting to just let go and attack. He knew they wouldn't stand a chance, even though he was nowhere close to being as strong as Blaine, yet.
But he shook his head and got rid of those thoughts quickly. He needed to focus on something other than blood and tearing into someone's throat.
Then a man stumbled out of a bar unexpectedly and he brushed past Kurt, then stopped and grabbed Kurt's arm. “Hey, pretty boy.” He slurred. “Wanna go somewhere? Wanna ditch that guy and hit the road?”
Kurt pulled away with more force than he wanted to and it caused the man to stumble and fall against him. He gripped Kurt's jacket and pulled himself up and now he was so close that Kurt could see the veins in his neck and it would have been so easy to just lean down and—
Suddenly Blaine let go of Kurt's hand and pushed the man off of Kurt. Kurt, however, panicked when Blaine let go of him and took several steps backwards until he backed up into another man, who fell with a yelp. And then the smell of blood was all of a sudden so overwhelming that Kurt let out a growl and turned to attack the guy that had cut his hand on a broken bottle on the ground.
Before he could lunge forward, though, Blaine held him tight around his hips and whirled him away. Then he ran, carrying Kurt with him, who struggled and hissed at Blaine but Blaine couldn't let Kurt kill someone in the middle of the street. They were a blur as they disappeared into an alley and then up onto a roof, where Blaine finally dropped Kurt before crouching down, ready to fight Kurt.
As soon as Kurt realized he was free, he let out a ferocious growl and turned to where Blaine was. He bared his fangs at him without realizing what he was doing and then attacked. He ran into Blaine at full speed, almost knocking him off the roof but Blaine hit him hard into the stomach before turning his arm around until Kurt yelped in pain. Then Blaine let go and pushed Kurt towards the ground but Kurt rolled away and jumped on Blaine's back before sinking his teeth into Blaine's neck.
Blaine tried not to hold in a scream. It came out as a pained whimper. Kurt had instinctively released his venom into Blaine's bloodstream and it burned Blaine's neck as he shook Kurt off of his back and finally pinned him down beneath him. His blood dripped from his neck onto Kurt's face as he held him down.
“Kurt, stop!” Blaine hissed sharply. “Stop it!”
But Kurt was far gone. He kept struggling and trying to sink his fangs into Blaine's neck again.
With a sigh, Blaine gripped Kurt's jaw to keep his mouth closed and to force Kurt to look at him. “Alright, listen.” Blaine's eyes darkened as his fangs grew and he looked right into Kurt's. “We're going to get you someone to feed on. Or rather, you are going to find yourself someone. I'm gonna let you hunt and I'm going to follow you. I will only intervene if you fuck up somehow. Remember, you can't get into any of the houses, so don't try. Do you understand? Kurt?”
Kurt stopped fighting Blaine and black eyes stared into ones that were just as dark. Blaine took it as a yes and let go of Kurt before pulling him up and turning him into the direction of the outskirts of town, where less people were.
“Only go that way, understood?”
He didn't get an answer before Kurt took off. It was hard to follow him but not too hard. Kurt was not exactly being quiet as he jumped from roof to roof. Suddenly he slowed down for a second and Blaine saw him take a deep breath before slowly stalking towards the edge of a roof, looking down onto the barely-lit street.
There was a man down there, leaning against the wall as he smoked a cigarette. Blaine saw Kurt checking his surroundings for any spectators and when Kurt's eyes found Blaine, who was on a higher roof on the other side of the street, Blaine could see that Kurt was at least aware of what he was doing.
Then Kurt let himself fall down from the roof, landing without making too much sound only a few meters away from the smoking man. Blaine kept observing the rest of the street for anyone who could see Kurt but the street was empty. As his eyes flew back to Kurt, he saw him disappear as he turned invisible. Only seconds later Blaine saw the man drop his cigarette as he was pushed up the wall until his feet barely touched the ground. That was when Kurt became visible again, one hand around the man's throat, the other one covering his mouth, before he sank his teeth into the man's neck.
Blaine waited a couple minutes before approaching Kurt and the man whose heart had stopped beating by now. When Kurt heard Blaine he dropped the body immediately and turned around with a threatening growl, his chin covered in blood. Blaine stopped walking and held his hands up in surrender to calm Kurt down.
Then Kurt recognized him. “Blaine?” He looked back at the dead body. “Oh god, Blaine, I... I didn't mean to attack you. I was just—I didn't mean to lose it.”
“I know, Kurt, I know. But this is totally fine. And you have to look on the bright side: maybe you didn't manage to be around a lot of people but you just went on your first hunt and you did incredible.”
“Really?”
“Yes, Kurt, really.” Blaine smiled and came closer to take Kurt into his arms. Then he pressed a kiss to Kurt's lips and Kurt tensed up before kissing him back. Blaine could taste the man's blood on Kurt's lips and he knew how fucked up it was but it turned him on. He proceeded to lick the blood off of Kurt's chin until it was all gone. He leaned his forehead against Kurt's and could see that Kurt's eyes were back to their normal blue-green. His own, however, he knew were dark from both hunger and lust.
“What am I supposed to do with the body?” Kurt asked.
“This time we'll leave it here. They find the bodies at some point, anyway, but we can't just leave them every time.” Blaine explained.
“Won't they find fingerprints or something?”
“Don't ask me how it works but for whatever reason we don't leave fingerprints.” Blaine shrugged. “Call it magic.”
Kurt frowned. “Huh. Okay, I won't ask. But only 'cause I can turn invisible and I'm not expecting someone to explain that.”
Blaine laughed quietly. “Come on. Let's get out of here. If possible, no one should see us.”
“I can take care of that.” Kurt took Blaine's hand. “I figured out that I can do this.” Kurt faded out of sight and then Blaine saw his own body slowly disappearing until he couldn't see either of them anymore. He only felt Kurt's hand in his own and he smiled when he felt Kurt squeeze it.
“You are amazing, do you know that?”
“I'm only trying to measure up to you.”
Happy early Halloween! Who am I kidding? Halloween lasts throughout all of October. Anyways, let me know if you're still around!
