Chapter 17
Blaine woke up the next morning in Kurt’s bed. The curtains were open, and the sun poured into the room, shining on his face. He groaned, stretching his arms over his head. He turned over, putting his arm out to wrap it around Kurt’s waist. Instead of finding warmth Blaine’s arm fell flat onto the bed. He opened his eyes and found that Kurt’s side of the bed was empty. He sat up looking around the room, which he found to his disappointment empty as well. The door was slightly ajar and Blaine could hear faint voices coming from downstairs.
“But I thought you weren’t getting back till Monday?!” Blaine could hear Kurt’s voice as he walked up to the door.
“Well I got here early and I wanted to surprise you! I thought you’d be happy Kurt!” Blaine heard a deep voice in reply.
“I am, dad, I am its just that you know I like it when you tell me in advance.” Kurt’s voice replied.
“I know but I’m here now. How bout we go out for some breakfast?” The voices grew louder as Blaine tip toed out of Kurt’s room to the top of the stairs where he could see the back of Kurt’s head.
“Um, ya, sure but first I sorta need to tell you something.” Blaine watched as Kurt played with his hands, something he did when he was nervous. It was too late for Blaine to hide when he felt a pair of eyes on him.
“Kurt. Who is that?” Kurt’s dad asked his voice strained. Kurt spun around, seeing Blaine standing at the top of the stairs. He smiled motioning for him to come down. Blaine cautiously walked down to Kurt’s side where Kurt wrapped his arm around him.
“Dad, this is my boyfriend Blaine.” Blaine studied Kurt’s dad’s face as he processed the information. He caught a flicker of disbelief in his eyes when Kurt’s dad walked up to him and caught him in a bone-crushing hug.
“Welcome to the family, Blaine!” Kurt’s dad let go of Blaine smiling.
“Thank you sir.”
“Please, call me Burt.” Burt said glancing over at Kurt glad to see him smiling.
“Okay, thanks Burt.” Blaine tried nervously. Kurt wrapped his arm back around his waist sending him a reassuring squeeze.
“So how bout you boys go get dressed and I’ll bring you out to breakfast.”
“Thank you dad!” Kurt said barely able to contain his content as he hugged his father tightly. Then grabbing Blaine’s hand, Kurt ran up the stairs, into his room shutting the door behind them.
Blaine was suddenly being pushed against the door, with Kurt devouring his lips. Blaine shut his eyes melting into the kiss, throwing his hands up into Kurt’s hair. Kurt brought his hands down to Blaine’s ass, squeezing his cheeks as he ground his dick into Blaine’s. Blaine threw his head back moaning quietly as Kurt sucked on his neck. Kurt pulled back, Blaine whining and grasping for Kurt’s hips trying to pull him back onto him.
“I can’t believe that just happened Blaine! He was totally okay with it.” Kurt said excitedly as he pecked Blaine’s lips.
“You know I love you right?!” Kurt said kissing Blaine.
“Definitely.” Blaine answered laughing as Kurt pulled back dancing over to his closet. He pulled out a shirt and a pair of pants, walking back over to Blaine.
“As much as I would love to continue this-” Kurt said motioning between them. “My dad’s waiting to bring us out to breakfast.” Kurt said sweetly as he put the clothes into Blaine’s hands.
Blaine smiled up to Kurt and began changing. After several minutes filled with partly getting dressed and flirty glances the boys ran down the stairs and hopped into the car with Burt.
A few minutes later they pulled into a small diner. Kurt stayed close to Blaine as they walked into the warm restaurant and sat down at a booth tucked in the back of the diner.
“So Blaine do you go to McKinley with Kurt?” Burt asked as he handed the menus back to the waitress.
“Ya, I’ve been there since the beginning of high school.” Blaine replied praying that his voice wouldn’t betray the butterflies that were flying through his stomach. He didn’t know why he felt so nervous! It wasn’t at all like meeting Santana’s parents. He just felt like he had to impress Burt.
“I’m actually quarterback on the football team.” Blaine added, Kurt nodding proudly beside him. Blaine felt a hand slip onto his thigh and he looked up to Kurt who sent him a quick smile.
“Really? That’s great! I’d love to see Kurt more involved in school. Are there any tryouts coming up?” Burt asked hopeful.
“Dad, you know I’m not sporty. But Blaine and I are part of the glee club now.” Kurt said. Burt frowned all the worries that he had had about Kurt rushing back.
“Kurt.” Burt said with a hint of warning in his voice.
“Yes dad, I know, I know, you don’t want me to get hurt, but don’t worry I’ve got my quarterback boyfriend to protect me.” Kurt said cuddling into Blaine. Burt dropped the subject knowing there was no way he could change Kurt’s mind. He just hoped that Blaine would be enough to protect Kurt.
Oooooooooooooooooooooo
They drove back to Kurt’s house after eating. Blaine headed up to Kurt’s room and left Kurt with his dad to catch up.
“Hey.” Kurt stepped into his room, where Blaine was lying on his stomach on the bed. He was going through the sheet music from their short Glee practice. Kurt hopped onto the bed beside Blaine, and pecked the top of his head, before settling in right beside him.
“Hey.” Blaine replied, keeping his eyes on the sheet music that he was studying intently. “So I know that Mr. Schuster wants us to sing this song for our audition, but I was thinking, what if we sang a duet?”
“Ya! What should we sing though?” Kurt asked setting his head onto Blaine’s shoulder.
“Well,” Blaine flipped Kurt onto his back and settled between Kurt’s legs, resting his head onto Kurt’s chest. “I was thinking something like Perfect by P!NK?” Kurt suddenly burst out laughing, even more so when Blaine pouted.
“Oh god, you are so cute.” Kurt pushed Blaine’s curls away and kissed him lightly on his forehead. “And yes, I would love to sing Perfect with you.” Blaine grinned widely and kissed Kurt who couldn’t help but contain his smile either.
Oooooooooooooo
It was about 8 o’clock when Blaine’s phone rang. Blaine was sitting at Kurt’s desk finishing up his math homework. Kurt was out with Burt running a few errands before Burt left on Monday for another meeting somewhere in Texas. Blaine had no idea how Kurt had been able to stand being alone so much. Blaine was even starting to consider sleeping over every weekend, seeing as his mom didn’t seem to be doing any better after talking to her earlier that day. She was still struggling with whether she should stay with Blaine’s dad or not, and it took everything in his willpower not to tell her to leave him. Blaine knew that she needed time to heal and think over her options by herself without having him pushing her towards something that she wasn’t quite ready for yet.
Blaine looked over at his ringing phone and hesitated before picking it up. The caller ID was unknown and curiosity got the best out him, finally bringing it to his ear. The line was quite except for some shallow breathing when a very soft voice came into hearing.
“Fag” Blaine’s heart stopped, as the threatening voice echoed through his head. The person hung up and the line went silent, the sound of Blaine’s choked sobs filling the room. Fear coursed through him. How could somebody know? His dad wouldn’t have said anything already, would he? All Blaine knew was whoever that person might have been, they had nothing but bad intentions.

Omg amazing story! ^_^ update soon! x
Glad to see an update! The beginning seemed a little rushed, as if you couldn't wait to get over that part of the story. And that manifests in Blaine meeting Kurt's father a few minutes after getting out of bed, with no description of his just-out-of-bed sleepy state of mind or appearance. And the whole scene with Burt was really..,fast. Like, "hey dad that's my beau! Oh cool, welcome kid! Lets go eat." And that's after having described in detail the confusing, a little walking-on-glass relationship between Kurt and his father. I felt like it should have been at least a little bit more emotional. And more elaborate on Burt's part. Like here he is meeting his sons first ever boyfriend, which makes the Kurt-being-gay real (not that it wasn't before but he never got to see him acting on it), and I expected to see Burt being protective over his sons heart/virtue, being unsure of how to act due to his unexperience with meeting boys his son is seeing, being surprised at the whole situation, being sceptical about Blaine. And yeah, I expected hurt feelings (Kurt has been keeping Blaine a secret), and anger, cause you know he came home to find a boy in his sons bed (not literally but still). Personally I thinking his thoughts would have been "oh my god. So while i was away, Kurt had boys over at night without my permission sleeping in his bed? Wtf???? We need to have a serious talk". And after that, Blaine and Kurt come back to Kurt's room, change clothes and leave. With no mention of a shower or of at least teeth brushing. That kinda made me feel a little gross, to be honest... But overall, as I said I'm really happy that u updated! I really wanna know where this story is headed! I'm sorry I'm so critical, I'm a little cranky today... Keep up the good work!
I really enjoyed this chapter. It was nice to see Burt accept Blaine the way he did and to be extremely happy for Kurt. I understand his worries about Glee club and it was nice to see him not push Kurt's decision. I felt so bad for Blaine though when he got the phone call because no one was there to comfort him. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Ohh Burt :D I like this story and I am waiting to read more :)
