Author's Notes: I know, I know. It's been FOREVER since I posted and I'm soooo sorry that I haven't. I have been so so busy with school. You know, tests and homework, projects and shizz like that. And also I had a major, MAJOR, case of writers block. Like HUGE. I'm serious, so yeah I'm on spring break right now and I've been relaxed so i decided to finish another chapter for you guys! And if anybody would want to help me write this story or give me any ideas, you are all welcome to do so! Also thank you for all the reviews! I'm so grateful.
In the car Blaine was thinking over about actually going on a date with Kurt.

Was it too soon?

Of course it was too soon.

He just met the boy not over 48 hours ago but he felt so strongly about him, something that he just couldn’t explain and it was absolutely terrifying but he asked for it. He was the one who asked Kurt to take him out on this date. But now he was too scared.

“Kurt I want to go back”

Kurt looked at the younger boy confused out of his mind.

“But I thou-“

“Please Kurt” The tone in Blaine’s voice made Kurt want to wrap his arms around Blaine and never let go but obviously he was driving so he didn’t even have the choice to. The begging sound of Blaine’s voice. So broken. Kurt sighed and drove back to the house. When the car finally stopped Blaine ran out and went inside the house, not even taking a second to look back at Kurt. Kurt was extremely confused. One second Blaine was happy and asked Kurt to take him out and the next he was timid, scared and wanted to go back. Was I something he said, Kurt wondered? It couldn’t have been, Kurt hadn’t said a word in the car ride… but maybe that was it. Maybe Blaine thought that Kurt didn’t want this and boy was he wrong, he wanted this so bad.

After getting out of the car and getting inside the house Kurt went up to Blaine’s room and knocked on the door

“Go away!” Blaine yelled from the other side of the door.

Kurt sighed “I’m not going away Blaine, Remember what I said to you.”

Kurt opened the door slowly and found Blaine up against the wall on the floor with his knees up to his chest, his eyes were red, tears going down them. Blaine looked up at Kurt hopelessly and looked back down to the ground.

“I’m such a coward Kurt” He sobbed gently “I couldn’t do it, I couldn’t go on a stupid fucking date with you…I’m sorry Kurt”

“Hey, hey , there’s nothing to be sorry about” Kurt sat beside Blaine “Absolutely nothing and you are not a coward Blaine. You are a fighter. You’ve been through so much and you’ve beat down all of it, you just need a little bit of courage Blaine. Courage. That’s all, think of it like a spoonful of cough syrup , it sucks at first and it takes a while to go down, you have to fight to get all the bad down, but when it’s done and over you’re going to feel great and relived.”

Kurt wrapped his arms around Blaine and the boy didn’t say a thing so he continued.

“It’s okay to be scared Blaine, Everyone is scared sometimes. I’m scared too”

Blaine looked up at Kurt. What was he scared of? He had nothing to be afraid of! He had a loving dad and a wonderful step mom and step brother, he had everything he needed. What possibly could he be scared of?

“What are you scared of?” Blaine asked softly, his voice breaking slightly.

Kurt looked away, taking a deep breath. He looked back at Blaine.

“I’ve never told anybody this but at school I get bullied by this Neanderthal. Every second I’m at school he makes my life hell. Shoving me into lockers, calling me nasty names and he scares the crap out of me.” Kurt smirked sadly. “I haven’t told anybody but I mean shouldn’t anybody notice? Finn? A teacher? I don’t know, somebody, but nobody notices and that also scares me. It’s like nobody cares. The only thing that gets me through it is Glee club. Singing.”

Blaine’s hand found its way to Kurt’s and held it tightly.

“I’m also scared that I might lose my dad. Earlier this year he had a heart attack. He was in a coma for about a week. I- it was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I thought I was going to lose him. I just – there are so many things Blaine. I may seem strong and confident on the outside and I am somewhat. I am out and proud and I would never change for anybody but sometimes life just doesn’t turn out how you imagined. And now… now I have to be strong for you. I want to be strong for you and for my Dad and I’m trying my best, I really am. I’m scared of failing, that’s what I’m mostly scared of. But like I said Music has always been there for me.”

Kurt looked into Blaine’s eyes and smiled slightly. Blaine couldn’t believe what Kurt said, he had no idea that Kurt could ever feel that was. He was always so chipper and caring and he never let that get in the way. Kurt was the strongest person Blaine knew. How could such an amazing person like Kurt deserve all that had happened to him? The bullies, his mom dying, his father’s heart problem, Blaine, he didn’t deserve any of it. He only deserved the best.

Blaine’s thoughts broke off when he felt Kurt rest his head on Blaine’s shoulder and sigh lightly.

“there’s this song I like to sing when I’m feeling down…” Kurt began “Perfect by Pink. I’m sure you know it… Can you sing it with me?”

Kurt gave Blaine a hopeful smile and Blaine nodded and he grabbed his guitar. Of course he knew this song, it was a freaking anthem. He placed his fingers on the fret board of the guitar and strummed the guitar lightly while Kurt started the first verse of the song with his melodic voice.

“Made a wrong turn once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
Bad decisions, that's alright
Welcome to my silly life”

Kurt smirked at Blaine and lifted his shoulder up slightly as if he was saying ‘who cares’. Kurt then looked intently into Blaines eyes. He was sing this to him.

“Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss 'No way, it's all good'
It didn't slow me down.
Mistaken, always second guessing
Underestimated, look I'm still around”

Blaine was very into the song and stared into Kurt’s ocean like eyes, feeling the song, the music and lyrics go through him and hit him in every note. He began to sing with Kurt.

“Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect to me”

Blaine complemented Kurts voice as he sang the echoes to the lyrics Kurt sang and everything seemed so… perfect.

“You're so mean (you're so mean)
When you talk (when you talk)
About yourself. You were wrong.
Change the voices (change the voices)
In your head (in your head)
Make them like you instead.

So complicated,
Look happy, You'll make it
Filled with so much hatred
Such a tired game
It's enough, I've done all I could think of
Chased down all my demons
I've seen you do the same
(Ohh ohhhhhhh)

Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect”

They were getting to Blaine’s favorite part of the song, he didn’t know why he loved that part so much but it was fun to rap and so he did.

“The whole world's scared, so I swallow the fear
The only thing I should be drinking is an ice cold beer
So cool in line and we try try try but we try too hard
And it's a waste of my time.
Done looking for the critics, cause they're everywhere
They don't like my jeans, they don't get my hair
Exchange ourselves and we do it all the time
Why do we do that, why do I do that (why do I do that)?

(Yeah! Ooooh!)
I'm pretty, pretty, pretty

Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect to me
(Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than less than perfect)
You're perfect, you're perfect to me
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect to me.”

They finished the song together and it felt as if a weight had been lifted of his chest. Blaine was smiling and he felt happy and excited. Kurt giggled and hugged Blaine as he let the guitar down and embraced Kurt fully. He was so grateful for this moment for Kurt and he didn’t want it to end.

“thank you Kurt.” He whispered appreciatively.

End Notes: so Yeah. This chapter was kind of a filler and kind of not. Well lets just say its not my best work but i hope you enjoyed it:)

Just a quick thing. I think you meant 'scared' every time you wrote 'scarred'. Other than that, I liked it.

OMG I DID!!! Sorry I gonna fix it right away! Thank you:)

love the whole story cant wait for more... hope blaine heals soon...

thank you soo much! i really appreciate the reviews <3

Kurt always know how to make Blaine feels better! Will they go to Blaine's parent's grave sometime? I think it would be a great moment.

i liked kurt's analogy to the cough syrup. it never occurred to me that way, but it's true. my only thing is that i actually like the taste of cough syrup! yeah, i know, weird of me, but i assure you, i don't drink it bottle by bottle.
