Author's Notes: It wasn’t until the next week at school that Quinn discovered she had been lied too. Now, Quinn was a girl who had her head screwed on right, apart from the fact that she’d got herself pregnant two years earlier; and she knew that she could never be with Mr Anderson, despite the fact that he was taken.
It was in English one day, when Mr Anderson was talking away about the construction of Shakespeare’s plays, that Quinn noticed how every now and then, Kurt’s eyes would flicker over to the man and he would blush before glancing back down at his paper. Quinn smirked to herself and folded her arms across her chest. So Kurt liked Mr Anderson did he? Not for much longer.

“Hey Kurt!” Quinn smiled as she bounded up to the boy, placing a kiss on his cheek, leaving the boy stunned for a moment.

“Can I help you Quinn?” Kurt asked, his eyes wide as he stood by his locker. Quinn smiled and took a little step closer.

“So, I was doing a little background research on our choir director and you’ll never guess what I found” she smiled and Kurt proceeded to turn a very pale shade.

“What?” he almost squeaked as people passed the pair, Quinn looking around before she leant forward and placed her lips next to Kurt’s ear.

“He’s single” she breathed before she took a step back, Kurt frowning.

“I told you he wasn’t…”

“I know, but I checked it out myself. Mr Anderson only shops for one person, and he only owns one car. No woman ever goes to his apartment except for some lady with green hair but she’s always with another guy” Quinn shrugged her shoulders and watched as Kurt’s eyes widened.

“Quinn! Have you been spying on our choir director!” Kurt cried and Quinn shook her head.

“It’s not spying Kurt, its called research.” Quinn rolled her eyes and Kurt shook his head.

“That’s just so creepy.”

“And, I came to the conclusion that you must have been lying to me about him having a girlfriend. And I know why” Quinn folded her arms across her chest and Kurt swallowed, trying to act casual.

“Go on”

“You like him” Quinn smirked and Kurt shook his head.

“I don’t like Mr Anderson.”

“Kurt, I’ve seen the way you look at him” Quinn smirked and shrugged her shoulders.

“But if you choose to deny it then that’s fine with me. All I need to do now if make sure he’s straight” Quinn smiled and went to walk away, Kurt taking her by the arm.

“What do you mean? Before what?” he asked, his eyes filled with alarm. He knew Quinn, and when she invested too much of her time into one thing, it never ended well.

“Before I make my move” Quinn stated simply, moving some blonde hair from her eyes.

“Kurt, I’m 18. I finished school soon. After graduation, Blaine and I will be free to be together. I need a mature man” Quinn nodded to herself and Kurt felt a small pang of jealousy pulse through him as Quinn used Blaine’s first name.

“You do realise you’re crazy, right?” the boy asked and Quinn simply smiled.

“I’m not crazy Kurt, I’m being practical” Quinn stated and Kurt snorted.

“Practical? Quinn… you do realise that he won’t ever like you, right?” Kurt asked and Quinn simply shrugged her shoulders.

“Only one way to find out” she gave Kurt a wide smile and turned on her heel, walking off down the hallway, leaving the boy to stand there in total disbelief.
Quinn Fabray was crazy, crazy for Blaine. And that was just something Kurt could not let happen.

Kurt was hurrying down the hall, already late for Glee practice when he smacked into something hard, sending him flying backwards onto the floor.

“Oh my God! I’m so sorry!” a voice Kurt didn’t recognise called out and the boy looked up, his eyes landing on a new, very attractive, teenage boy.

“Here, let me help you” the boy rushed forward and pulled Kurt to his feet, his green eyes scanning over Kurt to make sure he was okay.

“I’m fine. Not the first time I’ve been acquainted with the floor” Kurt smiled weakly and clutched his books to his chest, the brunette in front of him smiling.

“That’s a good one” he nodded his head and Kurt stood there for a moment before he spoke up.

“You’re… you’re Jake right? The new boy?” he asked and the new boy held out his hand.

“It’s Jason actually, but yes. I’m new here” Jason smiled and Kurt shook his hand, scanning over the boy with his eyes. He went to tell Jason his name when Sue and Blaine came walking down the hall, Sue interrupting them.

“Lady face! New kid! Get to class” she called and Kurt looked back at Jason.

“I’ll see you around then.” He waved and began to walk away, Blaine slowing down slightly in his walk as Jason hurried up to Kurt with a smile.

“Sorry but I didn’t catch your name” he smiled and Kurt bit his lip.

“It’s Kurt. Kurt Hummel” he blushed slightly when Jason gently took a hold of his arm and scribbled down a number on it.

“Call me” he smiled and Kurt nodded, watching as the boy ran away down the hall, Blaine looking on with a hint of jealousy in his eyes.

“Kurt, come on, we’re late” Blaine called and Kurt hurried to catch up with him, Sue already gone. Blaine eyed Kurt as the boy smiled, holding onto his books.

“Friend?” Blaine asked and Kurt shook his head.

“New Boy.” He smiled and Blaine nodded, the pair walking into the choir room.

“Alright guys! Today we’ll be going over songs for sectionals. Now…. Yes Quinn?” Blaine asked as Quinn raised her hand.

“As I’m having a solo in sectionals I decided to pick out a song and sing it for everyone, as a little introduction to what you might be hearing on the night” Quinn smiled and wondered up to the front, Blaine taking a seat with the rest of the students.

Quinn smiled at Blaine and placed a hand on her hip.

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass

Blaine smiled and tapped his foot to the beat whilst Kurt folded his arms across his chest, one eyebrow raised.

Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me

Quinn smiled and didn’t move as others members of the club got up and began to dance around her, Blaine grinning along with the beat. Quinn moved forward and held out her hand to Finn, pulling him up to dance before she did the same to Blaine, the man following her into the floor.

Kiss me down by the broken tree house
Swing me upon its hanging tire
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat
We'll take the trail marked on your father's map

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me

Quinn continued to dance with the teacher until the song ended and everyone returned to his or her seats, Kurt glaring at the girl.

“Quinn that was great!” Blaine clapped and smiled, giving the girl his seat as he addressed the rest of the club, clapping his hands together.

“Right, now we’ll go over Rachel’s…”

Kurt tuned out and grabbed out his phone, playing with it before he decided to add Jason’s number into it. It was nice that he had someone to text, that wasn’t his teacher/ boyfriend or Mercedes.

**

After glee Kurt walked past the choir room, only to be pulled inside my Blaine. He gave a small smile as the door was closed and he found his back pressed against it, Blaine’s lips at his neck.

“Did you want to go and get coffee?” Blaine asked, his lips moving to Kurt’s jaw, the boy smiling.

“I can’t” he replied and the man moved off of him, a small frown on his face.

“Homework?”

“No… actually. I’m…. I’m getting coffee with Jason” Kurt nodded his head and Blaine bit his lip.

“Oh. Okay.” He nodded and stepped back, Kurt stepping with him.

“How’s tomorrow though?” he asked and Blaine nodded before he boy kissed him quickly.

“I’ll see you later” he smiled, heading out of the door. Blaine sighed and ran a hand through his hair. This was it, he’d gotten in far too deep, and he had no idea how to get out.
