Author's Notes: Uh, so this is the beginning of my new story 'Drops Of Jupiter'. It's based about four years after season three. I'm currently looking for a beta reader, so if you know anyone that could help, please say! *I do not own the song or Glee*

It was hot and stuffy inside the bar, but it didn't really matter to Blaine as he leaned forward towards the microphone and cleared his throat. "Hey guys," he greeted the people sat at the bar and tables with a quick wave. "Uh, only one song tonight, one of my favourites. I, er, hope you enjoy it!"

Even after two years of singing in the bar, he was still awkward and shy. There was a small cheer from the crowd, the same one he's been singing to since the beginning, and he grinned sheepishly before adjusting his guitar and starting the song.

Now that he's back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in his hair, hey, hey

He shifted on his seat. It was still hard to sing this song, even though he'd sung it so many times he was sure no-one wanted to listen to it again.

He acts like Summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there's time to change, hey, hey

OK, so normally he sang the song in the privacy of his room, but the walls were thin. He'd learned that the hard way after Cooper bought his date home.

Since the return from his stay on the moon
He listens like Spring and he talks like June, hey, hey
Hey, hey.

Tell me, did you sail across the sun?
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that Heaven is overrated?

He glanced around the crowds, and shot a quick smile in his favorite Latina's direction. She scowled and sunk further into her chair. Blaine shook his head. Santana was still the same. Even after the accident.

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?

Now that he's back from that soul vacation
Tracing his way through the constellation, hey, hey
He checks out Mozart while he does Tae Bo
Reminds me that there's room to grow, hey, hey, yeah.

It wasn't exactly what he wanted. To be singing in a bar, and not even for money, not that he needed it.

Now that he's back in the atmosphere
I'm afraid that he might think of me as
Plain ol' Jane told a story about a man
Who is too afraid to fly so he never did land.

Tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the Milky Way?
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind?
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?

He was living with Cooper every other week, and the rest of his time was spent at the Warblers or Quinn and Santana's.

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you?
Even when I know you're wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze-dried romance
Five hour phone conversation?
The best soy latte that you ever had, and me?

He gave a sad smile when Santana left her chair and walked towards the bar, hands in her pocket and a scowl on her face.

But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the Milky Way?

And tell me, did you sail across the sun?
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that Heaven is overrated?

His gaze soon landed on the bartender that Santana was speaking to, and he smiled warmly in his direction. Another unexpected thing that happened to him. He became good friends with Sebastian Smythe.
Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself?

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Na, na, na

And did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day?

Everything had changed after high school. His future... himself... Kurt.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Na, na, na

And did you fall for a shooting star?
Fall for a shooting star?

Sebastian grinned at him, and Santana sent him a small smile over her shoulder as the sings ended.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Na, na, na

And are you lonely looking for yourself out there?

Even after four years, people were still being gentle with him. But then again, they were the same with Santana, Quinn and Sam. After the accident, nothing was the same. Santana walked around with a distant look in her eyes, Quinn lost her passion and Sam broke down.

Blaine stayed with Cooper for several months, holed up in his room.

It wasn't meant to happen.

Kurt leaving.

Rachel leaving Finn.

Brittany dying...

But it did, and it was all because Blaine forgot to call Kurt.

End Notes: I hope you enjoyed it. Xx
