Chapter five.
~~~_Five Months Later_~~~ December 2, 2013
The cold air surrounded him as he walked home from Regis High School. His book bag hung loosely over his shoulder, swinging with each step.

When he got home, he walked in to see that Blaine was already home from work. Sitting at the kitchen island eating ice cream.

"Hi," Kurt greeted him, putting his bag down next to the door and hanging his coat up.

"Hey there." Blaine said taking another spoonful into his mouth,"how was school?"

"Awesome. Boring."

"Good. That's how it's suppose to be."

Kurt chuckled as he slipped off his shoes and made his way over to fridge.

"Why are you home so early?" Kurt asked curiously as he opened a bottle of Ginger Izze.

"There's gonna be a huge blizzard, so Mac let us all go home to our gay children," Blaine replied. Kurt lost it, breaking into a fit of laughter.

"Gay children... Hypocrite..." Kurt shook his head.

"Hey, my last boyfriend was five years ago. Leave me alone," Blaine said, acting hurt.

"Okay well, I'm gonna go take a shower and then I'll make dinner or something relevant," Kurt stated. "Don't eat too much ice cream!"

"Okay mommy!"

When dinner was finished, the light that came through the windows was completely nonexistent. Outside was dark with clouds even though it was onlyfour o'clock. There was thunder and lightning, and Kurt tried to put on a I'm-totally-not-scared poker face. But he was terrified. And after they were done eating, the weather went from snow, to rain and thunder.

As they sat on the couch watching Pretty Little Liars, they subconsciously cuddled close with Blaine's arm around Kurt's waist, rubbing up and down. Suddenly the lights went out and a clap of thunder made both of them jump. Kurt buried his face in Blaine chest. Their arms wrapped fully around each other.

"That's just great," Blaine said, annoyed. He tightened his arms around Kurt as he felt him shiver."It's cold in here."

"Um... C-can w-we go to bed?" Kurt asked shakily.

"Yeah, it's warm there." Blaine said, pulling them both up. He wrapped a protective arm around Kurt's waist and lead him to the hall.

They walked carefully until they came to Blaine's room and entered the darkness. Blaine pulled the blankets back, leading Kurt to get in first, then followed.

Their arms circled around each other tightly.

"Are you warm enough?" Blaine whispered, moving the fluffy blanket up to their chins.

"Yeah. Thank you." Kurt replied with a yawn.

"Try to get some sleep."

"Okay. I love you."

Kurt was fast asleep before Blaine could even reconcile what he just said. He just kissed the top of his head and replied:

"I love you, too."
