Kurt and Elliot actually started to become really good friends. Elliot never pressured Kurt into speaking and they actually found a lot of things that they had in common.

Rachel still continued to drag Kurt to the coffee shop, but Elliot would usually join them during his breaks.

They were there one day and Kurt desperately needed to ask Rachel a question, but it seemed that Elliot had a never ending break and Kurt couldn't exactly tell him to go away, that would be rude.

When Elliot went back to work, Kurt sighed and interrupted whatever the hell Rachel was babbling about.

"I need to ask you a question."

"Okay..."

"So you know how it's Wes's birthday on Saturday and we're sort of having a small party at my house?"

"Let me guess, you wanna invite Elliot?" Rachel asked as Kurt nodded in reply.

"Blaine said I can if I want to but I'm too shy."

"I have an idea." Rachel said with a smirk.

Rachel's brilliant idea was for Kurt to write it down on a piece of paper and she would go to order them both new drinks, sneaking the paper in with the money, so she did just that.

"I'll bring them over to you when they're done." Elliot smiled as Rachel walked back to Kurt.

A few moments later, Elliot arrived at their table, placing two cups on the table before leaving. Kurt picked up his cup and almost started giggling when he saw what was written on the side of it.

'I'd love to come :)'

When Saturday arrived, Kurt was a nervous wreck. He was annoying pretty much everyone except Rachel. Elliott arrived earlier than Kurt thought he would, and he almost squealed when he opened the door because he hadn't had time to style his hair.

"I'll be back in a minute," Kurt rushed out as he let Elliot into his house, running up the stairs and shouting "Rachel, look after him!" To his best friend.

"Um...is he okay?" Elliot asked as he watched Kurt practically sprint upstairs.

"Yeah, he's probably just mortified that you saw him with unstyled hair." Rachel laughed.

Kurt came back downstairs a few minutes later, looking slightly out of breath. He was about to speak when he heard Blaine calling him from the kitchen.

"Kurt, I need your delicate hands!" Blaine shouted from the kitchen and Kurt rolled his eyes before following Blaine's voice, Rachel and Elliot following him.

"What do you -" Kurt began, walking into the kitchen and raising his eyebrows when he saw Blaine attempting, but failing to wrap Wes's present. "Blaine...that is not how you wrap a present."

"Yeah, I figured." Blaine said, moving out of the way as Kurt expertly rewrapped the present. "Thank you, you're a life saver." Blaine sighed, not even noticing the other people in the room.

"Um...Blaine, this is Elliot." Kurt said awkwardly, causing Blaine to realise there were actually people in the room.

"So you're the famous Elliot I've heard so much about." Blaine said as a way of greeting, causing Kurt to blush profusely.

"I guess?" Elliot said confusedly.

"Okay," Kurt said loudly. "We'll be in the living room." He said, dragging Rachel and Elliot out of the room before Blaine could embarrass him anymore.

There weren't really that many people coming, just a few people that supposedly went to high school with Blaine and Wes that Kurt had never even heard of before — he was so glad Rachel and Elliot were with him.

The three friends were sitting on the sofa when everyone arrived, causing Kurt to hide his face in Rachel's shoulder. There were three of them; Nick, Jeff and Trent. Apparently they'd all been in Glee club with Blaine and Wes when they were in high school. Thankfully, they didn't try too hard to introduce themselves, they just said a small 'hi' each before following Blaine's direction to the kitchen; Blaine ruffling his hair as he walked past and receiving a sarcastic 'thanks' from Kurt.

"Why am I the only girl? When Wes arrives there's gonna be like, seven guys and me."

Both Kurt and Elliot just laughed at her, eliciting an offended look from Rachel.

"Yeah, but you're always the only girl when you're with me, Blaine and Wes, or when your with me and Elliot for that matter."

"Yeah but...whatever." Rachel said, crossing her arms over her chest.

When Wes finally arrived, everyone came into the living room; the three teens being relocated to the floor as apparently the others were too old to sit on the floor.

"I'm gonna get a drink, does anyone want anything?" Kurt asked, standing up. Everyone shook their heads except Elliot, who stood up and followed him into the kitchen.

"I would've brought a drink into you, you know." Kurt said, pouring himself a glass of water as he couldn't really be bothered to make anything more.

"I know, but I wanted to talk to you...or, well I wanted to ask you something."

"Oh...okay?" Kurt replied, turning around and leaning against the counter slightly.

"It's actually kind of a coinsidence considering the situation we're in right now but it's my little sisters birthday next weekend and I was wondering if you...maybe wanted to come?"

"Oh, um...I do but you know I'm not really good at talking to new people...or most people."

"You don't have to talk to anyone, it's mostly gonna be like, five year olds...It would mean a lot to me?"

"I don't...you're making me feel bad now," Kurt pouted. "Let me think about it?"

"Yes! Thank you, you're the best!" Elliot said happily, enveloping Kurt in a hug which lasted way to long and resulted in Kurt awkwardly pulling away while he blushed crimson.

"Um...we should probably go back into the living room..." Kurt mumbled, taking his water and walking back into the living room, a confused Elliot walking behind him.

"There you guys are! We were gonna order pizza but we didn't know what you liked, Elliot?" Blaine said upon the boys' return.

"Anything's fine." Elliot replied, looking worriedly over at Kurt who was sitting with his knees pulled up to his chest while sipping on his water. 'You okay?' he mouthed to Kurt, who smiled and nodded in response, placing his water on the floor next to him.

The pizza came a little while later and Kurt attempted to just pick it up and eat it, but he kept making whimpering noises everytime he felt some of the grease rub off on his hand.

"Ew, okay. This is disgusting, I'm getting a plate." Kurt grimaced, placing his slice back in the box before making his way into the kitchen and returning with a plate to see everyone laughing at him. "It's not funny." Kurt pouted.

"So Kurt," One of the guys...Nick, Kurt thinks but he's not entirely sure. "What do you want to do when you finish school?"

"Um...I have no idea." Kurt replied awkwardly, picking his pizza up with a piece of tissue and taking a bite from it.

"Okay...what are you into now then?"

"I, um..."

"He likes writing and singing." Elliot supplied, recieving a grateful smile from Kurt.

"If I didn't know any better I'd swear you were actually related to Blaine," Nick laughed. "Would you be able to sing something?"

Kurt instantly shaking his head from side to side, tears welling up in his eyes as he closed in on himself.

"Wait, I was only asking, you don't -" Kurt suddenly stood up and ran up the stairs in tears.

Blaine started to stand up but Elliot stood up first. "I'll go." He said, running up the stairs after the sixteen year old. "Kurt?" Elliot called out, not knowing what room Kurt was in.

"In here." He heard call from one of the rooms and he slowly opened the door, entering what seemed to be Kurt's bedroom and making his way over to the teen who was sat in the corner of his bed with his knees pulled up to his chest again.

"You okay?" Elliot asked, sitting next to the chestnut haired boy.

"Yeah, I just got a little worked up...like always." Kurt replied, wiping his eyes with the palms of his hands.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything, I-"

"It's not your fault. It wasn't his fault either, it was mine if anyones."

"It's not your fault you're shy, Kurt." Elliot replied sincerely.

Kurt just sighed, leaning his head against Elliot's shoulder while the other teen wrapped his arm around Kurt's shoulders.

"Do you wanna go back downstairs or-"

"Can we just stay here for a bit, please?" Kurt asked.

"As long as you need."
