Author's Notes: This chapter is just getting some needed things out of the way...I promise the next chapter is going to focus on that beautiful head of hair..

The following day in school was the first day of the “lets-pretend-we’re-not-in-a-relationship” bet.  The more he thought about it, the cockier Blaine got about his chances at winning.  This is going to be beyond easy, just last a week and then your hair is safe until you and Kurt get married, then you’ll have to show him… Blaine stopped his thoughts as soon as he realized how far in advanced he got in his planning, and hung his head in shame at his thoughts.  He was trying to focus on something else when he heard that beautiful voice.

“Hi, Blaine!” said Kurt, cheerily appearing at the younger boys locker.  Blaine looked up to see a glistening smile on his face, “What’s a matter Blaine? Miss me already?” he teased.

Blaine violently shook his head, perhaps too quickly, “Not at all!” he insisted. Kurt immediately frowned.

“Gee, thanks Blaine. Really making my self-esteem go up here…” said Kurt, turning on his heel to walk away.  Blaine grabbed his arm to stop him.

“You know that’s not what I mean, Kurt.” But Kurt had moved on, his gaze now went to where Blaine’s hand clutched Kurt’s forearm.  “That doesn’t count as touching!” Blaine quickly declared, removing his hand before he did anything he would regret.

“Sure, it doesn’t.”

“It doesn’t! I would do that to Wes, or Finn, or Rachel…”

“Blaine,” interrupted Kurt, “Perhaps it would be best if you just stopped talking now, huh?” Blaine nodded, “Right, we should probably get to class now don’t you think?” Blaine nodded once more, afraid of what would come out of his mouth if he dared to say anything.  He merely followed Kurt to the History class they shared; they ended up in some of the same level classes due to the advanced curriculum Blaine was used to at Dalton.

Blaine and Kurt sat two rows away from each other, due to the placing in the alphabet, but were lined up with each other.  Blaine was taking out his textbook and binder when he noticed something towards his right.  He looked up to find Kurt talking to new kid, Alex, who transferred here, too.  Alex was new enough where he was still unaware of the status of them glee kids and had no problem interacting with them, for now.  However when Blaine looked up, he was not expecting to see that sort of interaction.  Kurt was resting the palm of his hand on his cheek and laughing at something Alex had just said.

Blaine knew that look that Kurt had on his face, it was a look he had seen too many times before, it was his flirting face.  Blaine was calming his jealous self down when he saw something that drove him absolutely insane.  Alex reached over, casually, and put his hand on top of Kurt’s, and Kurt made no effort to move. No, no, no, no, no! That is MY man!

He wanted to go right over there and match his lips to Kurt’s, show Alex who Kurt belonged to and that he was not up for sale, but then he remembered; for this week, he was for sale.  That can’t be part of the deal, right? Kurt can’t possibly agree actually be single for a week and accept dates or anything, can he? He wouldn’t actually do that, because that would be cheating, technically, wouldn’t it?

This was starting to worry Blaine, he suddenly didn’t care if Kurt touched his hair or not, he just wanted the love of his life to stop flirting with that other guy! Blaine was about two seconds from marching up to those two and giving them a piece of his mind when Kurt moved his hand away, politely smiled (with that irresistible smile of his) and faced the teacher who was due to start class any minute.  Blaine, too, smiled and shifted in his seat.  Everything is okay, Anderson.

That was a lie.  The couple only shared four classes together, and the next two had gone by similar to the last.  Kurt would find someone, anyone, to use as a flirt target.  History it was Alex, Music Theory it was Puck, and in Economics it was Brittany. Brittany for God’s sake!  He was now becoming straight for forty-one minutes and shoving it in Blaine’s face.  Once the bell for Economics rang, Blaine got up from his seat and waited for Kurt, as he always did.  Every day the pair would walk from there to gym together and happily converse.  Today Blaine figured would be no different.  Kurt met him at his desk and winked at Blaine as they began their descent towards the gymnasium.

“Enjoying your day?” he asked, smirking at the boy next to him.

“Am I enjoying watching my boyfriend flirt with both boys and girls? No, I’m afraid not.” Answered Blaine, getting his frustration out, “I mean, do I even refer to you as my boyfriend at the moment?”

Kurt smiled and patted him on the back, “Of course, Blaine. You can still call me your boyfriend.”

“I don’t like the way you just said that…”

“What do you mean?” Kurt asked, innocence taking over.

“You said, ‘You can still call me your boyfriend’, not ‘we’re still boyfriends’…I don’t like that.” Blaine frowned and allowed Kurt to really see his worries.  Kurt smiled adoringly at his boyfriend’s insecurities.

“Listen, Blaine, don’t make this harder than it has to be…” Kurt started, loving the look he was getting from Blaine.

“Kurt, God, please stop that! You said like we’re breaking up!” Blaine was developing a headache, and it was killing him how much Kurt was enjoying the frustration on his face.  Blaine was about to mention this when something caught his eye, it was a loose piece of paper atop Kurt’s binder.  “Kurt…Kurt what is that?”

Kurt followed Blaine’s gaze towards the slip of paper, and quickly tucked it into his notebook. “It’s nothing…”

“Kurt...” he said as he lifted the notebook to reveal the sheet of paper.  He lifted the paper and placed it in front of his own eyes.  His heart sank when he saw what was written.

Alex Holloway- (419)-824-5617

“Oh my God! Tell me you did not get his phone number!”  Blaine was outraged, he was ready to go beat the crap out of this Alex kid.

“Honestly, Blaine, relax! So, I got his phone number, big whoop! I’m not about to leave you and go run off to Vegas with him!” Kurt stomped away from Blaine and headed into the locker room.  What Blaine didn’t see was the smile that formed on Kurt’s face as soon as he walked away, Kurt’s plan was working.

And just when Blaine thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did.

Normally, Kurt spent the period for gym trying to convince the teacher that he was physically unable of running, or that he had some illness that deemed him unfit to participate.  But, no.  Today was the first day that Kurt decided to be an active student.  Kurt changed into his newly found gym clothes, leggings and a muscle shirt.  The muscle shirt showed off Kurt’s definition, underneath all of those McQueen jackets and Marc Jacobs’ sweaters, Kurt had a pretty well toned body.

Blaine watched as Kurt stretched and worked his beautiful long legs.  Blaine knew his mouth was watering, but he didn’t care.  Kurt looked amazing, and he was going to look. Turns out today was going to be spent in the weight room, and Kurt and Blaine chit-chatted as they walked to the designated room.  Blaine chooses to lift some weights for the period, while Kurt chooses another approach.  Blaine watched as Kurt headed over to the newly added section to the weight room: the gymnastic section.

Kurt headed to the gymnastic bars and pulled himself up and over them. He bent his legs over and let himself hang upsides down.   For half of the period, this continued, Kurt swung around and did pull ups on the bars, and damn it, Kurt is just so…flexible!

Blaine was moving from different weights while he watched Kurt cross the room to the treadmills.  Kurt began to walk at first, but then started to run.  Blaine couldn’t help but stare as sweat dripped down Kurt’s body, Blaine didn’t know why but something about the image was so hot.

The bell signaling the time to head to the lockers and shower went off, and the two boys met at the door.  Blaine knew he was checking Kurt out, but he just could not help it.  Apparently, Kurt noticed.

“That’s against the rules, Blaine.” Kurt said in a sing-song voice, giving Blaine a shove on the shoulder.  Blaine’s eyes widened, shit, did I just lose?

“Don’t worry, I’ll let it slide this once,” he continued, leaning towards Blaine, “but don’t let it happen again!” he whispered in Blaine’s ear, sending shivers through the shorter boy.

Blaine nodded his head, and excused himself to the showers.  The last thing he needed right now was the temptation of watching Kurt undress and walk into the stalls.

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly, and before he knew it Blaine was walking to his car door.  Kurt had managed to keep to himself during gym, he was too busy trying to convince the teacher that running was not in his list of abilities. Blaine was unlocking the car door when he smelled familiar cologne and turned around.

"Hey!" said Kurt, smiling.

“Hi…” responded Blaine.  It had been a long day, and he just wanted to go home.

“So, I was wondering if you wanted to come around tomorrow and study after school. And when I say study, I mean study.” Blaine laughed internally, thinking of the long make-out sessions that always happened whenever he and Kurt arranged to study, “Just because we’re not…together this week, doesn’t mean we can’t hang out, right? You’re still my best friend, after all.”

After a long conversation with Kurt that involved a lot of talking into, he finally agreed to head to the Hummel house after school tomorrow.  Kurt said it would be easier to go right after school, so he offered to pick Blaine up in the morning and then drive him over to his house after school, too.

“Perfect, I’ll see you at the usual time?” asked Kurt, preparing to walk towards his own car.

“Sounds good!” says Blaine, finally getting inside his own SUV.

That boy is going to kill me.

Tomorrow, Blaine knew he needed to be prepared for whatever Kurt was going to throw at him, because if he knew his boyfriend, he was going to make things beyond difficult.

End Notes: Thanks for reading! I promise the next chapter is going to be longer, and some drama will go down!
