"Kurt, you know what I miss the most about being a kid," Blaine looked to his boyfriend and said.
Kurt gave him a perplexed look taken aback by the sudden commentary, he and Blaine had been walking back to Kurt's house silently taking in the usualness of the everyday routine. "What do you miss most, Blaine?" He replied.
Blaine smiled, "Spending time at the park relishing in the feeling of swinging high, running around like an idiot, and zipping down the slide that felt immeasurably large compared to how short I was."
"How short you were," Kurt snickered and stifled a giggle.
"I heard that," Blaine rolled his eyes. "But, I'm serious. I don't know, maybe I'm just dwelling on something silly."
"So you wouldn't want to play tag right now ?" Kurt leaned in closer to Blaine and outstreched his hand, "Not even if I," he patted Blaine's shoulder, "you're it!" He laughed as he ran down the sidewalk.
Blaine took off after him, but Kurt had gotten a head start. Kurt was almost to his house now and was running up the pathway. Blaine ran after him and soon enough both of them ended up in the house.
Kurt was practically in hysterics now and when he ran into the kitchen he found himself on the opposite side of the island as Blaine. They both began to start shuffling, Blaine stalking Kurt like a cat does a mouse.
"You could just give up Kurt, I got you right where I want you," Blaine was toying with him trying to get him unfocused long enough to tag him.
"Never Anderson, Kurt Hummel never gives up...HEY! Is that Katy Perry on the TV?" Kurt feigns excitedly.
"What, where?" Blaine turns around and Kurt makes a break for the stairs, headed to his room. "Why, you little, shit!" Blaine says laughing.
Kurt runs into his room and goes to lock it, but it's too late Blaine barges through the door and pins Kurt on the bed.
"Tag you're it." Blaine kisses his nose softly and smiles.
"Damn," Kurt breathes. "I normally don't like losing but if it ends with you on top of me everytime we can play everyday if you'd like."
Blaine raises and eyebrow suggestively and rolls over onto the pillow next to Kurt facing him. He leans in and captures Kurt's lips with his own and it's sweet and loving. When Kurt pulls away he starts laughing.
"What's so funny?" Blaine intriuged.
"You, you continue to remind me to let loose. I just really needed that. With everything that's been happening with school, getting ready for Nationals, and NYADA callbacks soon, it was nice to...just...just be a kid." He smiles, "thank you." He nestles into Blaine's neck and whispers onto his collarbone "I love you."
"Anytime, my love, I love you too," Blaine leans in for another kiss but as their lips are about to meet Kurt slaps his shoulder with his hand and says, "you're it, Anderson," and he jumps out of the bed and runs out the room laughing.
Blaine just shakes his head and says, "you're it for me, Hummel."
