Kurt groaned softly, his head spinning as he slowly came back to himself. He heard the faint beeping of machines and the sounds of footwear on ceramic flooring. He scrunched up his nose a bit at the overly clean scent as an intercom came on calling Dr. Something or other to the ICU. Despite all of that it still took him a few minutes to realize where he was... The hospital...

Why was he in the hospital, he wondered, eyes feeling heavy and his whole body feeling weak. He didn't want to move and he didn't want to open his eyes. He knew that if he really was in the hospital then he'd be opening his eyes to bright florescent lighting and blindingly white walls.

He rested like that for a few minutes before he heard a soft snort next to him before someone groaned. He heard the sound of a head shaking and the individual slapping their cheeks to wake themself up. He heard a sigh before he tensed, feeling a hand covering his own suddenly.

A jolt of fear shot through him and he quickly yanked his hand away, eyes snapping open before he winced at the bright lights and shifted on the bed. He looked over, body shaking as he finally realized that the person who'd touched him was his father. He frowned as his dad looked at him with worry before standing and leaning towards him.

"Shhh... shhh... It's ok Kurt... Everything's going to be ok. You're in the hospital. You need to calm down and lay back down. You lost a lot of blood and your body still needs to heal. Please buddy, lay down... It's ok," Burt said reasuringly, reaching out to put a gentle hand on Kurt's shoulder.

Kurt tensed at the touch but forced himself to still before he nodded a bit and shifted to lay down again, his breathing shallow. He trembled a bit as he stared at the ceiling, wanting to say something... wanting to apologize... wanting to ask what happened... why he was here.

His mind was foggy. He tried hard to remember what had happened but it was all very vague right now. He remembered being at Mercedes... leaving her place on foot... He sighed, biting his bottom lip as he tried to remember what happened after that... he'd been walking in town, trying not to make eye contact with anyone.

Burt watched him, staying fairly quiet, unsure of what to say. Kurt had been out for a couple of days now. The doctors had pumped him full of pain medication and that along with the blood loss had kept Kurt unconscious for over forty eight hours. They'd told him what they'd found, however, the large canine teeth... the bruises and the evidence of rape... He wanted to be sick... how could anyone have done that to his baby boy?

Carole and Finn had been in and out, taking turns and forcing Burt to go home and sleep every now and then. Carole tended to be the one to talk with the doctors, being a nurse she could understand everything a little bit better but there were some things that everyone could understand... Kurt had been hurt badly... and not just physically. You didn't need to be a rocket scientist to realize that.

Kurt's breathing hitched a bit, his facial features looking thoughtful and confused at the same time as he tried to piece everything together. The figure walking towards him. Blocking his way... Bumping into someone else and then...

His breathing quickened as he shivered, shaking his head a bit... He'd been dragged into that alleyway... he could remember now... the vulger words... the touches and the pain and the fear... the threat of death... He shook his head more, tears stinging his eyes as everything finally came crashing down.

"Kurt... Kurt calm down..." Burt let out as Kurt tried to pull himself up and out of bed, reaching out to struggle with the IV in his arm as he started to panic, "Kurt! Stop it! You're going to hurt yourself... please calm down... Look at me! You're ok..." Burt said, grabbing his wrists and forcing him back to the bed and Kurt shook his head from side to side, sobbing uncontrollably.

"No... no let go... Please... don't!" Kurt panted out, struggling against his father though he didn't quite register that it was his father. He screamed after a moment as he yanked at his arms, Burt yelping as Kurt broke free and bolted from the bed, getting tangled up by the IV which was still in his arm and attached on the other side of the bed.

Kurt yelped and flipped around, the needle yanking out of his arm before Kurt stumbled and fell backwards, landing on his back with a loud yelp as several nurses ran into the room, moving to try and help him as he screamed and flailed, pushing himself up against the washroom door, knees to his chest.

The nurses tried to hold Kurt down as his arm bled from where the needle had been but Kurt yanked away from them and screamed, not hurting them but not wanting to be touched. When a doctor finally came in the nurses, one of which was male, moved to hold him down again as best they could.

They couldn't believe how strong he was but they all put it off to adrenaline and fear and before long the doctor managed to slip the needle into Kurt's arm, injecting him with a sedative which would, hopefully, calm him down enough for them to get him back on the bed and his arm bandaged up. The last thing this boy needed was to loose more blood.

Burt was frantic and felt helpless as he watched the nurses try to hold Kurt down. He pleaded with Kurt to calm down, desperately trying to stop his son from hurting himself. It broke his heart to see his boy like this... so scared and broken... so filled with terror that he couldn't even register where he was.

If it had been any other situation Burt would have been proud to see how well Kurt was fighting off his 'attackers' and how strong his boy would be when he wanted to be but this just hurt... it hurt because he knew that all of this was because of those sick fuckers who'd touched his boy. All he wanted to do was wrap his arms around the other and make it all go away... but Kurt was too afraid to be touched... even by him.

The nurses and doctor continued to try and keep the frantic boy still for another few minutes before he finally started to show the effects of the drug. He groaned and sobbed softly as they finally managed to get ahold of him, lifting him up and back into the bed as his head began to swim.

Kurt felt weak and sluggish again and let his eyes slip shut as a nurse moved to clean him up and put in a new IV in the opposite arm after bandaging the injured arm. He'd really ripped it out but it, thankfully, wouldn't need stitches or anything.

He groaned and let his head lull to the side finally, tears still slipping down his cheeks as he stared at the wall on the other side of the room. It finally dawned on him that he should be in pain... a lot of pain... why wasn't it hurting? Was he that drugged up that there was no pain? It shocked him a bit but he was thankful anyhow.

Burt finally stepped forward to look at his sedated boy, frowning, tears in his eyes, "Kurt... oh god Kurt... I'm so sorry... I... I feel like there should have been something I could have done. That never should have happened to you. Why were you out there all lone? Kurt... don't you know how dangerous it is out in the city at night? Even here in Lima... it's dangerous."

Kurt frowned and looked to his dad finally, swallowing, his mouth dry as he shook his head, murmuring a weak and very horse, "sorry..." before he sobbed again and closed his eyes tightly. He wanted it all to go away. He could remember it all so clearly now... the men and the creature... the blood... so much blood... and the eyes of the dead men staring at him... and the pain... the harsh blinding mindnumbing pain.

"Why... how..." Kurt let out in a quiet whisper as Burt looked at him, frowning and brushing a strand of hair out of Kurt's face though he pulled away quickly when Kurt flinched away from his touch again. He just wanted to hold the other so badly... but Kurt couldn't even stand his touch.

"I... I'm sorry... I won't touch you..." he murmured before sighing, "Do you remember what happened? You were attacked... you were badly injured and brought in here over two days ago. Someone had heard the screaming and called the cops. Thank god... They said they'd found you unconscious and bleeding out and the bodies of... five other men... all dead..."

Kurt curled in on himself at this point and sobbed harder, shaking his head, "I don't... I don't..." he let out, wanting to ask not to talk about it but Burt sighed and nodded, letting out quietly, "I'm sorry... we don't have to talk about it... I'm just... god... I'm just so glad you're ok, Kurt... I thought I was going to loose you. I was so scared. You mean everything to me, buddy... I don't want to loose you."

Kurt frowned and looked to his father, biting his bottom lip at this point before finally sighing softly. He reached out his hand at this point, moving it towards Burt's own. His dad got the point and bridged the gag between their hands, taking his sons hand in his own, holding it gently as he smiled.

"Thank you..." he whispered out to the other, glad Kurt was giving him this... despite everything he'd been through. He knew Kurt was strong... he'd always been the strong one. Kurt could handle anything. He put up with so much. He put up with the assholes at his school and the looks from kids and teens and adults... ignorant people who just couldn't understand how wonderful his son was.

"I will do everything in my power to make sure nothing like this ever happens to you again... I love you, Kurt..."

End Notes: Thanks again to SlashStag for their lovely review and thanks to all my readers. Good news, looks like my mom is gonna be ok. Doctors think it's just a scist not a tumor. But thankfully for all of you, because I was so worried lastnight I kept myself busy with writing! =P

Partially drugs... I'll just say that ~_^Cancer hits everyone in some way. It's so horrible. =(

Like Kurt I'm wondering about the pain too. Could he not feel the pain because of the drugs or something else... Glad to hear about your mom.i lost my grandmother to cancer : thanks for the update cuz right now there is nothing to do because of the storm.

I'm not completely sure where I'm planning to go in the next couple of chapters but i'll let it come to me as I go. =) You will see his shadowy rescuer again eventually... might take a few chapters though. =P And thank you. I'm glad it sounds like it's pretty much nothing. It's not a cure bur it's also not her getting worse again.

Thank goodness Kurts okay. Even though I knew he would be, because if he wasn't...well, that would be the end of the story.I can't wait to see where it goes from here though. Will we see some of Kurts recovery or maybe therapy sessions? See what he thinks/feels about the whole thing? Or will it just be a summary of what happens over the next couple weeks/months and then Kurt will be back in school? Or maybe....well, it might be to soon... but maybe I glimpse into the life/consciousness of this shadowy kind-of-rescuer? Cant wait for the next chapter~~!! And I'm glad to hear about your mum. It may not mean she's cured, but some good news is always better than some bad news, right?

No problem and thanks. Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Hoping to get another one up soon.

Aww <3 super flattered!Great chapter! I cant wait to see what happens when Kurt figures out he's a wolfy now haha. update soon, and congrats on the good news

Ya he was really freaking out but I mean... who can blame him. When he passed out he had some creature's teeth in his shoulder Oo... But ya... Kurt let Burt hold his hand because he knew it would calm the other down... because no matter what, Kurt still cares about his dad and his dad's health... and giving him a heart attack is not an option XD

It was hard to see Kurt have to relive everything and for Burt to feel so helpless. I love the relationship between the father and son so I really liked that by the end of the chapter Kurt allowed Burt to hold his hand even though he didn't particularly want anybody touching him.

That's good about your mom.Poor Kurt :/
