Author's Notes: NOTES: Things are really starting to get weird for Kurt now. =) And people are clearly starting to notice. This chapter is dedicated to Logisa for their lovely review. Thank you so much to all my reviewers. You make writing worth it. WARNINGS: Depression

~*~*~*~

Kurt stared at Santana for a few seconds, opening then closing his mouth before he shook his head, feeling the panic rising in him again before he turned and bolted down the hallway, one hand over his stomach and the other over his mouth. He could hear Santana's voice calling his name but he didn't stop... He just kept running...

He rushed into one of the girl's washrooms and ran over to the last stall, all but dropping to his knees over the toilet just in time to throw up. He gagged and heaved a few times as tears started to slip down his cheeks. What was wrong with him... His whole body was shaking by this point before he pushed back and leaned against the filthy wall, wrapping his arms around himself as he sobbed softly.

He'd been so angry. He'd honestly felt the sudden urge to litterally tear into Karofsky's flesh... to show the other that he wasn't to be trifled with. He really wanted to hurt him and that scared him more then anything that had happened lately. Kurt had never been a violent person... never... So this was all... this was all very... not him.

"Oh god... what's happening to me..." he murmured out, putting a hand over his mouth as he trembled. He felt like he was losing himself. Like someone else was taking over his body... or something else. It was like something right out of a horror film. 'Invasion of the body snatchers' or something. He took deep breaths at this point, staring up at the ceiling as he tried to calm his shaking, sobbing self.

"Kurt?" came a voice as he heard the washroom door open. Kurt didn't reply though as he just sat there against the wall, tears still slipping down his cheeks. He ignored the footsteps that came towards him, when a hand came down towards his shoulder, however, he snapped his eyes towards the other, watching the hand retreat quickly.

He stared at the hand for a moment before looking up into the strangely worried eyes of Santana. He frowned as he stared at her before sighing softly and looking away again, "Leave me alone..." he murmured out to the dark haired cheerleader who just sighed and rolled her eyes, shifting to plop down cross-legged on the floor beside him.

"Not goin anywhere Ladylips. Not until I know that you're alright... We might not be the closest of people... we might barely ever talk... but you're part of the Glee Club and the Glee Club sticks together. Now what the hell happened out there?" she asked in her usual sassy, don't fuck with me voice.

Kurt licked his lips before sighing softly. There were worse people he could talk to. He didn't want to talk to his dad because the other would worry and talking to Carole and Finn would just be the same thing because they would tell his dad. No way in hell he was talking to Rachel... and he didn't need Mercedes or Tina to start being all overly motherly and smothering him.

"I... don't know what's going on," Kurt finally murmured out. He needed to talk to someone so badly. He was terrified... he felt alone. He started to sob again, curling in on himself as he shook his head, "something's wrong... I feel like... I'm losing myself... like something's changing and I can't stop it."

"You definitely looked like someone else out there with Karofsky earlier. I've never seen you get violent with anyone before. Heck... I never thought you could be even if you wanted to be. Where did that strength come from?" she murmured, "you been lifting weights in secret?"

"I don't know what's happening," he murmured, shaking his head, "I'm not doing anything differently then I usually do but... sometimes I feel like a whole different person. I... kind of like it but... but it's not me... I want to be strong but I don't want to loose myself."

"Maybe it's just a side effect of the attack. You're so afraid of that happening again that you're subconsciously trying to become someone that wont be seen as a victim... Like me..." Santana smirked before sighing softly.

"I wanted to kill him..." Kurt murmured quietly, staring at the wall of the stall ahead of him.

"What?" Santana asked, not exactly sure if she heard right or was understanding what Kurt was trying to say. The words sent a chill down her spine though. Just the thought of Kurt wanting to really hurt someone. It was seriously creepy.

"I wanted to kill Karofsky... I wanted to... I wanted to rip out his throat... And I knew I could do it too..." Kurt let out, trembling even more as he looked to Santana, "what's wrong with me?" he murmured out, letting out a choked sob.

Santana shifted at this point. She wasn't usually the touchy feely type but something told her right now that she needed to do something. She reached out and moved to pull Kurt into a hug, her movements slow and careful just in case he wanted to pull away.

Kurt sobbed and let the other pull him into a hug, resting his chest on her shoulder. Santana was warm and somewhere in the back of his mind he couldn't help but feel like... if he should confide in anyone... Santana was the perfect person. She was strong and she could handle herself.

"I'm hungry..." Kurt murmured after a bit once he was calmed down. Santana lifted an eyebrow before chuckling softly, "geez, Ladyface... talk about a quick change in subject," she murmured before noticing his hand over his stomach and the slight frown to his face. She lifted an eyebrow when she heard the others stomach growl before she nodded, "right... did you not have breakfast?"

"Lets get out of here..." Kurt murmured, pulling away from her and looking at her with a serious expression, "Lets skip and go get something to eat... steak... I'll pay... my treat," he let out and Santana couldn't help but frown at the others words before shaking her head a bit.

"Kurt... when the fuck did you start skipping school? And eating steak... you stay away from most red meat... half the time you stay away from meat period..." she let out, a shiver running down her spine again. There was something wrong with the other. It was like... He wasn't Kurt anymore. He was someone else. A very creepy someone else.

"I... I don't know," Kurt lied, looking away from her before sighing, "I'm hungry Santana... please..." he murmured, bringing his hand over his stomach again. He couldn't help it. He tried to eat like he usually did but it just wasn't... working. He was always still hungry afterwards... unless he ate meat... especially red meat. He'd finished all the burgers in their freezer at home and a few packs of hotdogs.

"A... alright... I'm all up for skipping," she said with a shrug, "especially if it involves free food," she smirked as she finally moved to stand. She was still a little unnerved by it all but Kurt looked like he needed a level head right now... one that wouldn't smother him with worry... she could do that.

"Yes!" Kurt piped up as he stood up, smiling to her, "thanks Santana... I feel... a lot better now," he said, letting out a breath, "I guess I just needed to talk to someone," he shrugged and Santana frowned a bit but nodded to him.

"Right... well, if you need to talk again I don't mind. Just don't get all creepy needy on me ok?" she let out and Kurt shook his head, "I wont..." he said and she nodded back as the two of them headed out of the washroom and off towards Kurt's car.

~*~*~*~

They ended up going to the nearest steakhouse and once they were sat down Kurt was looking around almost eagerly and Santana couldn't help but watch him with open curiosity. This was really weird... was he... sniffing the air? And eyeing other people's food...

"Kurt..." she let out and the other turned to look at her, blinking and smiling a bit, "ya?" he asked and the dark haired girl just shook her head a bit, "you're... freaking me out a little bit. You need to calm down. It's just food..." she said with a bit of a frown.

"I know... but it's steak... and I'm so hungry..." he murmured, pouting a bit before he sighed, "I'm sorry..." he said and Santana couldn't help but stare at him and lift an eyebrow. If she had to describe his actions right now... and everything... he just... seemed like an excited puppy begging for food at the dinner table or something. Heck... he was practically bouncing in his chair.

"Kurt... stop..." she said sternly and Kurt frowned, took a deep breath, and relaxed. He closed his eyes and just focused on breathing, body trembling a bit again as he let out, "something's really wrong with me isn't it?" he finally said, sobering up as he looked to her.

"Y... ya Kurt... there's something seriously wrong with you... But we'll figure it out ok?" she said, not even sure why she wanted to help the other so badly. There was just something about all of this that... she just felt like she had to do this. It was kind of creepy but kind of interesting at the same time.

Kurt nibbled on his bottom lip before straitening up when the food came. He smiled brightly and sniffed the air, enjoying the smell of steak as Santana watched him curiously. He grabbed his knife and fork and began to cut into the fleshy meal, which he'd gotten medium rare.

Santana didn't touch her steak just yet as she watched Kurt eat his. He savored every bite like it was the last meal he'd ever have but he didn't do much stopping to breathe, just moving to the next piece. She sighed after a moment and finally moved to start eating herself.

It was good steak, that was for sure. She'd gotten her own medium. She hadn't had steak in a long time... maybe she should stick around with Kurt more often if he was going to bring her out for nice meals like this. She was worried about him though... something was really way off with the scrawny boy.

For now, however, he seemed like, at the very least, he wasn't going to try and rip anyone's throat off... but she would keep an eye on him... see how things progressed from here. Something about this just seemed so... ethereal and she wanted to know now what was happening to the boy sitting across from her.

Kurt was gonna have to get use to having her around because she wasn't going anywhere.

End Notes: Thanks again to my reviewer Logisa. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Kurt's starting to get creepy but at least he has someone to talk to now that wont smother him or give themself a heart attack. XD

Love your story and I especially love this side of Santana. Always seemed like Santana and Kurt could have been potentially great friends on Glee so I'm really glad you're taking things from that angle.

I like to think that Santana is just rough around the edges but once you get to know her she's a loyal friend. =)

I only just started reading this fic. Although I found the first few chapters horrifying, I am enjoying Kurt's new behaviour.I thought the wolf was Blaine so am surprised how little he is in this so far. Looking forward to reading more :-)

Ya, I keep kicking myself because I don't have enough Blaine in here. >< I'll try hard to get him in in the next chapter.

ya I gotta get more Blaine in here really bad ><

enjoying this story glad santana is there for kurt, looking forward to more blain n kurt though :-) xm

awwesome

This was really good. I feel bad for Kurt because he doesn't understand what is happening to him but I am glad that he has Santana there to talk to. I was really impressed by Santana in this chapter and can't wait to see how her and Kurt's friendship develops from here. I am finally caught up with reading this and am so looking forward to reading the next chapter.

I like Santana but I like a nicer Santana... tough on the outside but nice on the inside. Kurt needs someone like her... but I'ma have to make sure I don't make her too nice. XD

Thank you very much. =) Glad you're enjoying it. =^-^= I really do love writing.

Well done. I am enjoying your story and thanks for writing.

At least she is being cool with him
