Kurt pulled his eyes from the mirror finally and turned towards the shower. He was desperate to feel clean right about now so he quickly moved towards it, turning on the hot water and adding in a little bit of cold. It would be very hot but he felt filthy right now... especially after that dream... and fantasizing about Blaine when he really shouldn't be...

He slipped his PJ bottoms off once he deemed the water the perfect temperature and finally moved to slip under the almost scalding water. He winced and gritted his teeth when the hot water hit his open and still very much bleeding cut and he almost doubled over. He shook his head after a moment, however, and pulled himself back up and started to clean himself off.

His arm hurt but he kind of wanted the pain anyway... It kept him grounded and his mind occupied with something other then the thought of Karofsky and what the other had done to him and how much he somehow enjoyed it and the idea that if Blaine ever found out he'd gotten off to his picture he'd probably never look at him again and cut all ties.

He scrubbed his skin almost raw, especially areas he knew that Karofsky had touched, though he was careful with his injured arm, not wanting to make it too much worse then it already was. He didn't necessarily want it to scar after all. He just wanted the pain.

Once he deemed himself clean about fourty five minutes later, the water having gold almost freezing cold by now, he slipped out of the shower and started to dry off. He winced as he dabbed at the cut on his arm before he turned towards the mirror again, blood starting to seep from the wound again since he hadn't given it the time to clot yet.

Kurt stared at himself in the mirror for a few minutes before he finally moved to tend to his newest cut. He cleaned it and wrapped it tightly before sighing softly as he slipped out of the washroom finally and took his time with his morning moisturizing routine since he had plenty of time still and wanted to look amazing if Blaine did end up coming to see him today.

He moved to start getting dressed for the day, once he was finished with his moisturizing routine and brushing his teeth, even though it was still rather early. He knew he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep and though he hated the idea of going to school exhausted like this he really didn't have much of a choice. He couldn't afford to miss anymore classes... not if he wanted to graduate with good marks and get into a good performing arts school.

He picked a particularly flattering outfit with pants that hugged his hips, making sure his hair was perfect before he checked the time again. It was seven thirty now so he figured he had enough time to grab a coffee and still get to school early. Maybe he could get to school early enough to be able to avoid the jerks from the football team. He crossed his fingers and hoped so as he made his way out of the house after saying goodbye to his dad who'd just gotten out of bed.

He slipped into his Navigator and headed towards the Lima Bean, grabbing a coffee from the take out counter before heading to the school. He blinked as he heard his phone go off while he was driving, indicating he had a text message and he smiled warmly as he finally turned into the school parking lot and found an empty space.

He grabbed his phone at this point and checked the text message, smiling as he saw Blaine's name pop up. He went in and read the message, beaming as he let out a calm breath... Maybe things were starting to look up after all? Karofsky was gone... hopefully for good... Blaine still wanted to hang around with him and he had the whole Glee club looking out for him.

Blaine: Sure thing. I'll see you later today at the Lima Bean. We can grab coffee and then go wherever you want after that.

Kurt smiled and nodded as he texted the other back, happy to know the other knew his favourite hang out spot outside of school.

Kurt: It's a date.

Kurt bit his lip when he wrote that but sent it anyway figuring Blaine would just assume it as a friendly joke though the idea of it being a real date was appealing. He liked Blaine he just didn't think the other would ever like him. Especially if the other ever found out he'd been fantasizing about him.

He finally sighed and slipped out of his car and moved towards the school. He tensed, however, as three of the football players, including Azimio, moved to block his path. He frowned at this before backing up, spotting the slushies in the hands of the other two males as Azimio made his way to him, smirking.

Kurt froze for a second before turning to bolt only to have Azimio grab him before he could, "I don't think so Homo," he hissed out, gripping the others arm tightly as the other two laughed, "did you really think you'd get away with getting our boy Karofsky expelled?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at Kurt.

"I didn't have a choice. He's the one who threatened me," Kurt let out meekly as Azimio dragged him off towards the dumpsters. The two slushy wielding cronies followed close behind and Kurt tried to tug his arm out of the others grip as he looked back at the two of them with an almost pleading look though they just smirked.

Azimio grinned as he saw the fear in the usually defiant boy's eyes. Kurt wasn't so high and mighty anymore. He chuckled as he grabbed the much smaller boy, noting how much lighter he was then he use to be. Not that he cared as he hefted the frightened boy up and tossed him in the dumpster.

Kurt tried to calm himself but he was just so over tired that he couldn't get control of himself. He wanted to press into his newest cut but he couldn't with his other arm in the jocks hold. He yelped as he was lifted off the ground and clenched his eyes shut as he fell. He let out a loud pained yelp as he hit the bottom of the dumpster. Unfortunately for Kurt it had been emptied the day before.

He bit his bottom lip and curled up on the disgusting floor, his ankle screaming at him in pain as well as his already injured shoulder. He'd landed on his ankle and then collapsed onto his already sore shoulder.

Now, one might say, 'hey, you hurt yourself all the time... What the hell's the difference?' There's a huge difference... He wasn't in control of this pain. He hadn't caused this pain himself... This pain just hurt him and humiliated him. It didn't calm him or distract him from the shit life he had... No, this pain explained exactly why his life was shitty in the first place and it stunk to high hell.

And of course... what might you ask could be worse then this situation? Plenty when you went to the shittiest school in Ohio... especially with two boys outside the dumpster holding slushies in their hands and laughing manically.

Kurt yelped loudly as he felt the slushies hit him, a chill running through his entire body as the cold liquid was poured over his already aching body. He clenched his eyes shut as he heard the three males outside laugh, several other people around joining in as well and he just wanted to scream profanities at the jerks but he kept his mouth shut.

Kurt shivered a bit as he just laid there on the dumpster floor just praying they'd all go away already so he could crawl back out and get cleaned up and changed before first period started. He'd hoped that he could have gotten here before them... that he could have gotten away without ending up in this shit hole for once... but no... Kurt Hummel never had that kind of luck.

The universe hated him and right now he kind of hated himself too. What possessed him to think things could get better? Was he stupid or something? Things never got better for people like him... he was worthless and people made sure he knew that every day of his life and it wasn't going to change anytime soon.

He covered his mouth with his hand after a while as he sobbed softly, trembling with despair and cold and trying not to make a sound. When he heard the laughing stop and people walking away he relaxed a bit, calming his sobbing. He waited for a little while longer before he finally shifted to get to his feet.

He winced and yelped as he grabbed onto the wall of the dumpster, his ankle throbbing when he put weight on it. He growled to himself and narrowed his eyes before he moved to grab the top of the dumpster and pull himself up and over only to let out a bit of a scream as his ankle hit the ground again, loosing his balance and falling backwards.

"Gotcha!" he heard and gasped as he felt someone grab him and right him again. He winced and put his weight on his good ankle before opening his clenched eyes to see who it had been who'd grabbed him. He smiled weakly as he saw Mike's face, the Asian boy looking at him worriedly.

"You ok Kurt? Do you need me to help you to the nurses office?" he asked quietly as the smaller boy shivered and leaned against the dumpster a bit. Mike felt horrible right now... he felt like there should be something he could do. He, like everyone else, had thought that it would be over now that Karofsky was gone... but no such luck...

"I'm fine..." Kurt murmured out and Mike just rolled his eyes, "Ya right... says the boy who can't even stand right now..." he let out as he moved to grab Kurt's arm and put it around his shoulder, "They're mad aren't they? Cause Karofsky got expelled because of you?" Mike asked and Kurt frowned and nodded.

"I should have seen that coming... Don't worry... we'll talk to Mr. Schuester about it and I'm sure he'll be able to handle it. Or Coach Beiste maybe..." he said as he slowly helped Kurt towards the school. Kurt said nothing, just kept his mouth shut and it worried Mike. Kurt was usually very opinionated and often didn't like people to worry about him and fuss over him, especially lately... but he'd never seen the other this quiet before.

Mike helped Kurt to the nurses office and then headed off, telling Kurt they'd talk about it all later since Kurt didn't seem to be in the mood for talking right now. It didn't matter anyway, either way he would tell Mr. Schuester even if Kurt didn't want him to. He was sick and tired of seeing Kurt being and looking so tormented. Kurt didn't deserve that... No one did.

Kurt, meanwhile, just laid down in the nurses office after she gave him a towel to dry off a bit. He wanted to change his clothes but he wasn't ready to walk to his locker yet. The nurse gave him an icepack for his ankle and he just rested there for the first period, staring off at the wall.

When the bell to end first period went off Kurt stayed in the nurses office until the rush of students disappeared from the hall. He slipped out at that point, limping slightly over towards his locker to grab a change of clothes before slipping into the girl's washroom to clean up.

He tensed when he realized there were people there, however, but let out a breath when he realized just who it was. He smiled weakly over to Quinn, Brittany and Santana who were all checking themselves out in the mirror, fixing makeup and hair. They'd turned to look over when he walked in and all of them frowned at the sight of him.

"Oh Kurt..." Quinn let out as she sighed, moving over to him and guiding him to the sink, "Lets get you washed up..." she said as the three girls moved to help clean him up as best as possible. Quinn couldn't help but feel for the other. Kurt had finally gotten rid of Karofsky and he was still being tortured.

Brittany frowned as she dabbed a wet papertowel around Kurt's ear which was slightly dyed green from the food-coloring, "Heh, you kind of look like a Smurf," she let out and Santana rolled her eyes as she let out, "Smurfs are blue Brittany not green... He looks more like a gremlin..." she let out with a bit of a smirk.

"Oh... ok... What's a gremlin?" she asked and Santana just waved it away, "probably not a show you'd like Brit..." she explained before frowning a bit, "Hey, Lady Lips... say something..." she murmured when she realized Kurt wasn't talking, just staring into the sink almost blankly.

"I'm tired..." Kurt finally murmured and Quinn bit her bottom lip before moving to pull the other into a hug. She understood that Kurt had probably got his hopes up that things were getting better. Truth was so had she and probably the rest of the Glee club. Karofsky was gone and they'd all thought that would be the end of much of the torment they all, especially Kurt, went through.

Brittany frowned as she moved to hug Kurt as well and Santana just rolled her eyes and sighed, "we'll talk to the others... make sure someone's with you at all times... ok? We'll walk you to classes and to the lunch room and everything... alright? I don't want you walking these fucking putrid halls alone anymore... Not with assholes like Azimio walking them."

Kurt gave a bit of a nod and the girl's finally let him go and he slipped into a stall to change now that he was a lot less sticky. When he came out the girl's helped him to his next class though by the time they got there he was already late, and hence, so were they. They didn't care though and headed off to their next classes once they were sure Kurt was ok. The teacher was alright with it seeing that Kurt was limping so she said nothing.

Kurt was picked up from that class by Sam and brought to his next one which he shared with Tina who walked with him to the lunch room. After that Artie walked with him to his next class which they shared and he walked Kurt to his second last one before heading to his own. Kurt was picked up from that class by Rachel who walked him to the next class before going next door to her own class.

Finn picked him up after his last class and they went to their lockers together. Finn sighed as he looked Kurt over and smiled weakly, "feeling a little better? How's your ankle?" he asked. They'd all noticed Kurt was being rather quiet today but he didn't say anything about it. He figured Kurt just needed some time.

"It's alright... not as bad anymore... as long as I don't walk on it for a long time," he said quietly and Finn nodded, "Good good... We'll let Mr. Schue know you can't dance in Glee today," he said as he waited for Kurt to put books away and grab what he needed for homework and Glee before the two of them headed off towards the choir room.

"Alright..." was all Kurt said as he followed next to Finn who just sighed, "hey... if you need to talk we're all here ok?" he let out as the two of them slipped into the choir room. Mr. Schue sighed softly, Mike already having talked to him about the dumpster incident. He'd gone to Sue's and Sue had promised to give Azimio a warning about throwing students in the dumpsters... Not that that usually did much.

Glee club went by quickly, most of the others leaving him alone for the most part since he didn't seem to want to be bothered though he got quite a few, 'I'm here if you need to talk' utterances from his friends. He'd just give a little nod. He didn't sing either, just mouthed the words. He wasn't feeling up to singing right now. He was just so so tired...

"Kurt... go home..." Mr. Schue finally said half way through practice, "I mean it... go... You're not up for this right now and that's fine. You need to go and take care of that ankle and get some rest... you look tired," he said with a nod and Kurt finally sighed and nodded, "Alright..." he murmured as he moved to stand.

"Do you want me to walk you to your car, Kurt," Mercedes asked and Kurt shook his head, "I'll be fine... No football practice or anything today so none of them should be around. I'm ok..." he said with a nod before slipping out of the room and heading for his Navigator.

He didn't go home though. Instead he drove towards the Lima Bean where he was supposed to meet Blaine in like a forty five minutes. He limped into the shop and bought himself his usual before going to sit down. He didn't care that he was early and would have to wait... it gave him time to think and get his exhausted mind in order.

"Hey... how was Glee practice?" came a voice finally and Kurt looked up and smiled weakly at Blaine, "short..." Kurt murmured before sighing, "I was told to leave early... I wasn't really feeling well..." he let out with a shrug as Blaine frowned and sat across from him.

"You alright now?" he asked as he looked Kurt over, worried for the other. No... he definitely wasn't alright. He looked pale and had dark rings under his eyes like he hadn't slept. Kurt just shrugged a bit and sighed, "I got thrown in the dumpster again... but it was empty this time... I sprained my ankle... but it's not that bad..." he let out and Blaine frowned.

"Geez... what kind of people do that?" he let out, scowling, "how's your ankle now? Do you need an icepack or anything?" he asked as he shifted to look down at Kurt's ankles. Kurt just rolled his eyes and smiled weakly, "It's alright... It's not that bad... I got an icepack from the nurse at school after it happened," he let out and Blaine looked back up to him not looking very convinced, "Who did it?"

"Azimio... friend of Karofsky's... He wasn't happy that I got Karofsky expelled," he explained and Blaine ran his fingers through his gelled hair, "People like those two need to be locked away in cages like the animals they are," the curly haired boy let out before putting his hand back down on the table, "anyway... do you want another coffee?" he asked, looking towards Kurt's empty mug.

"Sure..." Kurt let out and Blaine smiled warmly and nodded as he got up and moved to grab them both a coffee, paying for Kurt's. He came back and gave Kurt his before sitting down and taking a sip of his own, "god I needed that..." he chuckled and Kurt smiled weakly, letting out a polite, "thank you..." It was nice to be sitting here with Blaine, though. He enjoyed the others company.

"So... wanna talk about what happened?" he asked and Kurt instantly shook his head no, "I don't... I don't want to think about it. I just want to forget this morning ever happened..." Kurt murmured and Blaine nodded, "Alright then... was there any specific reason you wanted to see me today?" he asked after a moment as he looked to Kurt who blushed a bit and looked away. He lifted an eyebrow at this, a bit curious as to why the other looked embarrassed. It was kind of cute though, he had to admit.

"I... umm... I just wanted to ask you... I mean... don't feel obligated to say yes or anything," Kurt sputtered out, this morning's events now forgotten completely, "I just... everyone's going to the wedding in pairs and... and I don't... I don't have anyone... I'm alone..." he whispered out, cheeks going bright red. He was embarrassed but he really wanted Blaine to go with him, "I mean... we could just go as friends you know... a lot of the others are doing that..."

"Just... relax... I'd be happy to go to your dad's wedding with you. Truth is... I've sung to you... but I've yet to hear you sing. Call me a little selfish but I know you're singing at the wedding and I wouldn't miss that for the world," Blaine said with a warm smile, "Just give me the details..."

"Thank you... It'll just be a friend thing I promise," Kurt said, smiling brightly and blushing a bit. That was exactly what he'd needed... good news for once... something good to happen. He just hoped Blaine hadn't said yes just because Kurt had had a crappy day. He bit his bottom lip for a moment at the thought before shaking his head and brushing it away... It didn't matter right now...

All that mattered was that Blaine was going to be his 'friend date' to his dad's wedding. He couldn't be alone for once. Even if it was just as friends he'd have someone to dance with and talk to while everyone else was with their own date. Besides... maybe... maybe just maybe... Blaine would enjoy himself and it might... open some doors for the two of them... Maybe.

End Notes: Thank you to all my reviewers and my readers... we've reached over 5000 read! =^-^= Yay! Thanks again to miscellaneousadventures for reviewing. I love reviews... Anyway... After some debate I decided to name this chapter Lost... Kurt's letting himself get lost in the addiction of cutting... He's also getting lost in the idea of Blaine. He wants so much for Blaine to like him and he wants to be with Blaine but part of him is still afraid of getting hurt and thinking Blaine could never like him. And throughough much of this chapter Kurt kind of been lost in his own tormented mind... and lost in a dumpster >.> Ok... he wasn't lost in the dumpster... he knew exactly where he was and so did Azimio and his jerky friends... XD

Azimo... that slime ball. Ugh. I had a feeling things were just going to keep staying bad for Kurt. Is Kurofsky going to make an appearance again? I'm really curious about that! I also find it interesting how the New Directions decide to help Kurt out AFTER his biggest tormentor leaves the school >.> Sorry but I've always been kind of bitter about that. But on a brighter note, BLAINE IS GOING TO BE KURT'S friend DATE TO THE WEDDING! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Azimio's just pissed cause his best friend got kicked out. =P And yes Karofsky will be back for sure. ~_^ And the New Directions did try to help him... in many ways... least in my story... but usually he pushed them away or their help backfired like when Sam faught with Karofsky. And yus I thought you might like the date thing. =^-^= I thought it was cute... means a cute dance scene with them for sure at some point.

I love the idea of Blaine going to the wedding with Kurt! Great chapter ;) x

Ya I thought it was perfect. Gonna be so cute. =)

I have to admit, I kind of squealed. Thank you for the dedication!

Aww no problem hun. =^-^= Thank you for your wonderful reviews. They're always appreciated.
