“Oh, Blaine thank god. I was so worried about you. I didn’t us to be fighting and if something serious was wrong with, I would never forgive myself”
“Hey- shh” Blaine stopped Kurt’s babbling. “Kurt. Babe look at me, I’m fine. Hungry as hell got a headache but I’m fine.” Blaine turned at sat up on the bed reaching out to hold Kurt’s hand, but then taking in back after realising what he was doing. Hoping Kurt didn’t see; he did. Thankfully the nurse pulled back the curtain.
“Right Blaine, it’s seems as if you’re going to fine as long as you eat something when get home and rest. You’ll also have a nasty bruise on your head for a week or so. I can’t let you drive home though, so I’ll call your parents so somebody can pick you up.”
“No, his parents will still be at work in Westerville till six and won’t want to be bothered” Blaine was thoroughly shocked at what was coming out of Kurt’s mouth; they really knew everything about each other. “I can take him home, of course if that’s okay with you Blaine?” Kurt turned to Blaine with a hopeful smile.
“Yeah, that’s fine with me” After that, the nurse left without a second glace eager to get home, leaving Kurt and Blaine back in their awkward silence. They walk out of the office not saying a word.
“Kurt, you know we are going to have to talk about it eventually. Can we just get it over and done with now?” Blaine said with a sigh pushing his hands into his pockets, not trusting himself to not be able to reach out and touch Kurt.
“Yeah, of course, but can we talk about it somewhere else, like Lima Bean I could use a coffee” Blaine felt his mouth water at the thought of coffee and food.
“Mmmm coffee.” Kurt let out a little laugh.
“What? I could do with something after fainting. Personally I think you should buy me a cookie” Blaine joked trying to lighten the mood a little. Though when he looked over to Kurt, he looked like he was about to burst into tears.
“Hey, Kurt what’s wrong? I’m sorry I shouldn’t have said that”
“No, it’s not that it’s just-“ Kurt looked down at the ground feeling stupid. “ I just really need a hug” Kurt voice cracked at the end of the sentence. “ I don’t even care if you did kiss Seb- him right now.”
“Come ‘ere” Blaine’s voice was gentle as he opened up his arms to Kurt, who ran into them holding on to Blaine tightly. Blaine curled his arms around Kurt, rubbing him soothingly on the back. Both the boys enjoying the others touch, not having to worry about anyone seeing them since the school was empty from most people.
“I was so scared” Kurt whispered into Blaine’s chest after a moment of just relishing in the fact that they were holding each other again but still the thought of whether it was going to last was inching in the back of their minds.
“I know.” Blaine whispered back kissing the top of Kurt head which was nestled in Blaine’s shoulder wondering if he had gone too far. When Kurt snuggled closer he knew that Kurt was definitely okay with this. So he took a risk and said what he had been waiting to say ever since they were alone.
“ And I didn’t kiss Sebastian, I swear I didn’t. He’s just some smug bastard who thinks he can get everything he wants”. Kurt looked into Blaine’s eyes and saw nothing but the truth with some tears beginning to form. “ I would never- I love you so much. Please understand that” Blaine’s hands had moved to Kurt’s cheeks, one of Kurt’s hands covered Blaine’s and brought it down to his mouths.
“Of course I do” Kurt’s lips brushed against Blaine’s hand, before he kissed each of the knuckles. His gaze going back to Blaine’s eyes before lowering it to his lips, bringing his face so close that they could feel each other breath on their lips.
“And I believe you” Kurt said before closing the last inch that separated the two. Their kiss was needy but it was just what they needed. Both fighting for dominance, it meant everything was okay. Blaine pulled away first.
“That’s good” smiling against Kurt’s check. Then looking down suddenly very vulnerable. “I think that’s the worse part. That you actually thought I would cheat on you”
“Blaine, I only thought that because I saw Sebastian kiss you. Before that the thought never crossed my mind. But let’s not talk about that okay?”
Lifting up Blaine’s head he kissed him softly. Just as they began to deepen the kiss Blaine’s tummy rumbled loudly making both boys laugh.
“Food time?” Kurt asked patronisingly while patting Blaine’s stomach. Blaine laughed.
“Sounds amazing” giving Kurt a quick peck before heading towards the exit, happy to be on the way the Lima Bean.
Kurt and Blaine spent about two hours in Lime beans. Kurt making sure Blaine was eating enough, gave him a sandwich, muffin, biscotti and three coffees. Kurt himself only having two coffees. As they were walking out of the coffee shop towards the car park they came across a small group of Warblers.
“Blaine! Kurt!” Their voices chorused. The pair walked over and were given a collection of hugs before Blaine started making light conversation. Kurt wasn’t really paying attention wanting to get home where he could have Blaine to himself. That was when he saw him; that meerkat faced asshole; hiding behind the rest of the Warblers.
“Sebastian” everyone turned to Kurt, who had practically growled the name, unaware that the two knew each other. Blaine looked at him with a nervous look, unsure of what he might do; he took hold of Kurt’s hand and held it tight.
“Hi Kurt” Sebastian said stepping forward seeming confident thinking that Kurt would just slur some insult at him.
“Don’t hi me” Kurt sneered punching Sebastian hard in the face. On queue the mouths of the group dropped at the same time. They know that Kurt was sassy but never violent.
“Fuck you Sebastian!” Ignoring the questions that were being asked, Blaine pulled Kurt so they were flushed against each other.
“I love you so much right now” Blaine whispered before pulling him in and kissing him hard.
