“Please Finn, just go away” Kurt mumbled as Finn walked into Kurt’s room. Kurt was face down lying on his stomach which was rare occurrence for Kurt because it would either, damage his hair or clothes.
“I know you don’t really want to talk to right now Kurt”
“Then why are you here Finn?”
“Because I know what it’s like” Finn was sitting by Kurt’s bed placing the milk by Kurt’s head on the bedside table. “I know that you feel like you can’t trust anyone, that your whole world has completely ended and you just want to crawl up and cry your eyes out. I know, I’ll let you do that. If you let me know if there is anything I can do?” Kurt looked a little more interested by that point. He sat up and looked down at his hands which were resting in his lap.
“Could you not tell dad” Kurt whispered after a long silence.
“Okay but you have to tell him Kurt”
“Finn, as much as I am angry with Blaine right now I don’t want him dead” Kurt looked at Finn for a moment then dropped his gaze again. “There’s also something else you can do” Kurt’s voice sounded a lot more nervous now”
“What is it Kurt?” Finn said in a gentle tone, while placing a head on his knee. Kurt breathed deeply.
“Can you go to Blaine’s house and tell him to leave me alone and not to talk to me tomorrow and at school” Finn was hesitant at first not wanting to get between them, but then he looked at his brother was normally so strong and confident now he looked so fragile, like if you touched him he would shatter.
“Of course, but I dunno where he lives” Finn replied feeling awkward all of a sudden.
“His address is pinned on the fridge and please don’t beat him up, he’s had enough of that already.” Kurt said dismissingly. Finn got up to walk of the room, when Kurt’s voice stopped him at the door.
“Thank you Finn” For the first time since having seen Blaine, Kurt was looking Finn in the eyes. “For the milk” he added, though both of them knew it meant so much more. Finn gave Kurt a small smile, then ran to the car already thinking about how he could make Blaine the dickhead (Finn’s new nickname) see that nobody messes with the Humdels.
When Finn arrived at Blaine’s house, he went straight up to the door and banged loudly three times. Just as he was about to do so again, the door was opened by a girl with long black curly hair and golden eyes. Finn was taken back, he was ready to shout at Blaine with everything he had and now he had to be nice to a girl who was obviously Blaine’s sister.
“Ah, is Blaine here?” Finn said through gritted teeth with a smile at the end but it only ended up looking creepy.
“Sure, come inside” The girl who wouldn’t be over sixteen led Finn into what looked like the lounge passing some stairs shouting “ Blaine some guy’s here to see you, can you keeping making out to a minimum while I’m in the house” Finn freaked out Blaine’s sister thought Blaine and him were together, that weirded him out big time.
“Oh no, me and Blaine- I’m straight”. Before Blaine’s sister could say much more Finn could hear someone running down stairs. This just walked past Finn smirking. As soon as Blaine saw Finn his face dropped. “Finn, I thought you were Kurt. Is he alright he hasn’t been answering my texts?” Finn thought of Kurt’s phone which was turned off still in his car.
“Well I hate to disappoint you Blaine” Finn snarled sarcastically, Blaine seemed shocked by Finn’s sudden outburst, but Finn keep going. “I have a message from Kurt for you. He wants you to leave him alone, don’t text, don’t call or especially don’t talk to him tomorrow at school. Stay away from him” and with that Finn stormed out of the house only to see the girl standing in a doorway then running over to Blaine who had fallen to his knees crying. Finn didn’t think twice about it and drove home as fast as possible. Back inside the house Blaine was on the floor crying while being held by his sister who was rocking gently.
“I don’t understand, I didn’t do anything wrong, I just- why? I love him Alice” Blaine whispered.
“I don’t understand either sweetie, how about we get you upstairs to bed” Blaine mumbled a yes in response, as his sister picked him up off the ground and helped him up the stairs. Once in his room, Alice laid him down on his bed and kissed forehead before leaving and shutting the door her. Blaine turned on his side and saw a photo turned of him and Kurt taken over the summer. Both smiling and looking into each other’s eyes happily. Blaine groaned and sat up, he saw his phone on his desk, looking back and forth between his phone and the photo.
“Fuck it, I deserve to know” Blaine said out loud as he jumped off his bed grabbed his phone and dialled Kurt’s number.
